Joe Bonamassa - You and Me (2006) (full album)
I was searching for this album on YouTube, but I just could not find it as a whole, so I decided to upload it myself. Blues experts spoke of it as remarkable, and I must agree. So much passion, so much emotion. Joe sings, but his guitars sings with him.

2006 is the year of Joe Bonamassa's consecration: for two consecutive years nominated blues artist of the year by the readers of BluesWax Magazine (in 2004 and 2005), Joe released his fifth studio album with the participation of Jason Bonham on the drums, Carmine Rojas (Rod Stewart and David Bowie) on bass, Rick Melick on organ and guest appearances by Pat Thrall on "Bridge To Better Days" and Doug Henthorn on "Tea For One".
Joe Bonamassa is obsessive compulsive: on his fifth album, for the fifth time, he resorts to one of the covers in the setlist to give it a title; this time, however, he finds the inspiration to hide it, albeit partially... the seventh track of the album in fact bears the name of "Django" but has the subtitle (inspired from "Vous et Moi"), dating back to 1942 and performed on the guitar and also on the violin by the brilliant Franco-Belgian gypsy Django Reinhardt.
Bonamassa overturns the original violin dirge by taking its very strong and peculiar melody, then his imagination, his skill and his attention towards the right sound, the right combination between guitar and amplifier, bring out its magnificence; we are very, very close to Jeff Beck, both in terms of style and skill: Joe even tries to make the free strings resonate by tapping on the back of the keyboard; a little game invented by the usual guy (Jimi Hendrix, and who ever) and brought by Beck to incredible levels ... in short, a song to listen to and enjoy.
Among the covers (seven out of eleven tracks in total), the choice of "Tea For One" by Led Zeppelin stands out, a dazed slow blues which appeared in the original version on "Presence" in 1976.
In this album Bonamassa shows notable progress in his voice, decidedly firmer, fuller, more powerful and more extended than in the beginning; you can finally admire it on the original “Asking Around For You”, a slow and stereotyped soul blues but, indeed, very well sung.
“High Water Everywhere” (Charlie Patton's 1929 cover) is well distorted and embellished with a beautiful riff.
“So Many Roads” (Otis Rush cover) sounds different from the original, less soul and more rock, stabbing guitars instead of round ones: Joe in a frenzy, near Gary Moore, massacring strings.
Almost, not always, because for example “I Don't Believe” (Bobby Bland cover) is rendered like the original and even the intimate “Temp Em Up Solid” with only voice, acoustic guitar and dobro, is respectful of the its author and performer... the great Ry Cooder.
The high-energy ragtime acoustic instrumental episode also comes towards the end and is called “Palm Trees Helicopters and Gasoline”.
After it, to finish two further vigorous invocations of soul blues ("Your Funeral And My Trial" by Sonny Boy Williamson) and rock blues ("Torn Down"), both garnished with harmonica.
Bonamassa's usual four-star album ... heavy music played in blues style!
