Rev. Esau McCaulley, PhD is an author and associate professor of New Testament at Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. His research and writing focus on New Testament theology, African American Biblical interpretation, and articulating Christian public theology. He is the author of "Reading While Black: African American Biblical Interpretation as an Exercise in Hope" and "How Far to the Promised Land?", a spiritual memoir.
Author and Speaker Beth Moore is a dynamic Bible teacher whose conferences take her across the globe. She has written numerous bestselling books and Bible studies, including a powerful spiritual memoir "All My Knotted Up Life". She is also the founder and visionary of Living Proof Ministries based in Houston, TX.
Daniel Nayeri was born in Iran and spent some years as a refugee before immigrating to Oklahoma at age eight with his family. He is the author of several books for young readers, including "Everything Sad is Untrue (A True Story)", winner of the Michael L. Printz Award, the Christopher Medal, and the Middle Eastern Book Award, and The Many Assassinations of Samir, the Seller of Dreams.

The CORE Studies at Wheaton College presents "Esau McCaulley, Beth Moore, and Daniel Nayeri: Writing the Life of Faith," a lecture by Esau McCaulley, Beth Moore, Daniel Nayeri on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from Edman Memorial Chapel on the campus of Wheaton College.
Join three writers of highly acclaimed spiritual memoirs for a ranging and rich conversation about what it means to write about our lives and faith together: Esau McCaulley, author of "How Far to the Promised Land?"; Beth Moore, author of "All My Knotted Up Life" and Daniel Nayeri, author of "Everything Sad is Untrue". This event is sponsored by Core Studies, the Core Book program, Wheaton College's English Department, the Humanitarian Disaster Institute, the Conference on Christianity and Literature, and the Aequitas Fellows Program in Public Humanities and Arts.
Rev. Esau McCaulley, PhD is an author and associate professor of New Testament at Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. His research and writing focus on New Testament theology, African American Biblical interpretation, and articulating Christian public theology. He is the author of "Reading While Black: African American Biblical Interpretation as an Exercise in Hope" and "How Far to the Promised Land?", a spiritual memoir.
Author and Speaker Beth Moore is a dynamic Bible teacher whose conferences take her across the globe. She has written numerous bestselling books and Bible studies, including a powerful spiritual memoir "All My Knotted Up Life". She is also the founder and visionary of Living Proof Ministries based in Houston, TX.
Daniel Nayeri was born in Iran and spent some years as a refugee before immigrating to Oklahoma at age eight with his family. He is the author of several books for young readers, including "Everything Sad is Untrue (A True Story)", winner of the Michael L. Printz Award, the Christopher Medal, and the Middle Eastern Book Award, and The Many Assassinations of Samir, the Seller of Dreams.
