What Life On the Trail of Tears Was Like
The Trail of Tears, the forced migration of Choctaw, Creek, Chickasaw, Cherokee, Seminole tribe members, and many others, from their ancestral lands in the US Southeast to allowed territory in Oklahoma, resulted in the deaths of over 4,000 Native Americans along the way. The Trail of Tears - One Minute History
Between 1830 and 1850, approximately 100,000 Native Americans were forced to abandon their ancestral homelands in the southeastern United States and relocate to Indian Territory in present-day Oklahoma.
The relocation, known as the Trail of Tears, was a result of the Indian Removal Act of 1830, signed into law by President Andrew Jackson. The Cherokee Nation challenged the act in court, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
As a result, the Cherokee and other tribes were forcibly removed from their homes and marched westward on foot, with thousands dying from disease, hunger, and exposure along the way.

TRAIL OF TEARS: America's GREATEST Regret?
The United States of America is the most powerful country in the history of the world. Its military power, diplomatic and cultural influence, and economic reach are unmatched in the history of recorded civilization. Its Constitution and system of government have been emulated by dozens of other nations, and to the many immigrants who leave their homes seeking a better life in America, the country represents a chance for freedom and prosperity that they likely wouldn’t have the opportunity for where they come from.

A Brief History Of The Trail of Tears
The Trail of Tears refers to the forced displacement of what white American colonizers called “The Five Civilised Tribes”.
Over twenty years between 1830 and 1850; somewhere around 60,000 to 100,000 Native Americans were forced from their homes into the land the new Government had decided would be “Indian Territory”. During their removal, countless died from exposure, disease, and starvation.
Their unnecessary deaths are now seen as a near-genocidal event, and the route they walked and died upon is forevermore known as The Trail of Tears.
Who were the Five Civilised Tribes?
The five civilized tribes refers to the major Native American nations that originally lived in America’s Deep South.
These were the Cherokee, Chicasaw, Choctaw, Muscogee Creek and Seminole tribes.

Trail of Tears - When Silence Cries....
Album: Disclosure In Red
Lyrics:
When silence cries...
is it what I feel?
-or is it what you really long to be?
Depression grows again,
to you I pledge my guilt
Deserted fields I strole
-there is no relief
The bleeding night, surrounds you like a darkened veil
-The echoes wake my sleeping thoughts
The distant voice... it cries again
-I realise it`s not a dream, like a journey in solitude
Ignore what I once did say
When silence cries...
The pleasant feeling of something dying (she said)
-Upon the innocent it will rise once again
A tear I spill, in silence
-Punish the word of wisdom that I once gave
When silence cries...
A passage of dreams
-A passage of dreams and memories
Tiny little screams
-Feeble yet reveiled
Fading now is my O...
