Chapleau, Ontario
Chapleau is a township in Sudbury District, Ontario, Canada. It is home to one of the world's largest wildlife preserves. Chapleau has a population of 2,116 according to the Canada 2011 Census.
The major industries within town are the logging mill, Tembec, and the Canadian Pacific Railway railyards.
Geography and location
Chapleau is located in central Northeastern Ontario, in the heart of the Canadian Shield. Chapleau is geographically isolated; the nearest cities are Sault Ste. Marie, Timmins, and Sudbury, but all are more than a two-hour drive away. Highway 129 links the town with Highway 101, running east to Timmins and west to Wawa. Highway 129 also runs south, connecting with the Trans-Canada Highway, Highway 17 at Thessalon, 227 km from Chapleau.
Three First Nation reservations are located near the township: Chapleau Cree First Nation, Brunswick House First Nation, and Chapleau Ojibway First Nation.
One unusual feature of the community's transportation network is that because a railway yard separates the community into distinct halves, the main street in the western portion of the community loops back over itself in a manner resembling a cloverleaf interchange, and then crosses over both itself and the railway yard on a grade separation before returning to street level to link to the eastern street grid.

It is Canada's most populous province by a large margin, accounting for nearly 40 percent of all Canadians, and is the second largest province in total area. Ontario is fourth largest in total area when the territories of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut are included. It is home to the nation's capital city, Ottawa, and the nation's most populous city, Toronto.
Ontario is bordered by the province of Manitoba to the west, Hudson Bay and James Bay to the north, and Quebec to the east, and to the south by the US states of (from west to east) Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. All of Ontario's 2,700 km (1,678 mi) border with the United States follows inland waterways: from the west at Lake of the Woods, eastward along the major rivers and lakes of the Great Lakes/Saint Lawrence River drainage system. These are the Rainy River, the Pigeon River, Lake Superior, the St. Marys River, Lake Huron, the St. Clair River, Lake St. Clair, the Detroit River, Lake Erie, the Niagara River, Lake Ontario and along the St. Lawrence River from Kingston, Ontario, to the Quebec boundary just east of Cornwall, Ontario.

Ontario, California
Ontario is a city located in southwestern San Bernardino County, California, United States, 35 miles (56 km) east of downtown Los Angeles. Located in the western part of the Inland Empire region, it lies just east of the Los Angeles county line and is part of the Greater Los Angeles Area. As of the 2010 Census, the city had a population of 163,924, up from 158,007 at the 2000 census, making it the county's fourth most populous city after San Bernardino, Fontana, and Rancho Cucamonga.
The city is home to the LA/Ontario International Airport, which is the 15th busiest airport in the United States by cargo carried. Ontario handles the mass of freight traffic between the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach and the rest of the country. It is also the home of Ontario Mills and former home of the Ontario Motor Speedway.
It takes its name from the Ontario Model Colony development established in 1882 by the Canadian engineer George Chaffey and his brothers William Chaffey and Charles Chaffey. They named the settlement after their home province of Ontario.

Ontario (electoral district)
Ontario was a federal electoral district represented in the Canadian House of Commons from 1925 to 1997. It was located in the province of Ontario. This riding was created in 1924 from Ontario South riding.
It initially consisted of the townships of Pickering, Whitby (East and West), Reach, and Scugog, and the city of Oshawa in the county of Ontario. In 1947, the townships Scott and Uxbridge were added to the riding.
In 1966, it was redefined to consist of, in the County of Ontario, the Townships of Pickering, Reach, Scott, Scugog, Uxbridge, East Whitby and Whitby (excluding the area between the west limit of the City of Oshawa and the east limit of the Town of Whitby lying south of the road allowance between Concessions 2 and 3), and, in the County of York, the Townships of Georgina and North Gwillimbury, and all the islands of Georgina Island Indian Reserve No. 33.
In 1976, it was redefined to consist of the Township of Uxbridge, and the Towns of Ajax, Pickering and Whitby. In 1987, the Township of Uxbridge was excluded from the riding, along with the part of the Town of Whitby north of Taunton Road East and Taunton Road West (Durham Regional Road No. 4).

Ecclesiastical Province of Canada
The Ecclesiastical Province of Canada was founded in 1860 and is one of four ecclesiastical provinces in the Anglican Church of Canada. Despite its name, the province covers only the former territory of Lower Canada (i.e., southern and eastern Quebec), the Maritimes, and Newfoundland and Labrador (Ontario was split off as a separate province in 1913). There are seven dioceses in the province:
Provinces of the Anglican Church of Canada are headed by a Metropolitan, elected from among the province's diocesan bishops. This bishop then becomes Archbishop of his or her diocese and Metropolitan of the Province. The current Metropolitan of the Province of Canada is the Most Rev. Percy D. An out and back drive through the town of Chapleau, Ontario, Canada. We come in from the south on Highway 129 or Monk Street before crossing the Canadian Pacific tracks to drive through downtown on Birch Street. We finish up at the CP station. Chapleau is a town of around 2,000 residents that was established in 1885 when the railroad was built through the area. The town is included in the Sudbury District, despite being about a five hour drive from the actual city of Sudbury. Timmins is 200 kilometres to the east, Sault Ste. Marie is 250 KM to the southwest. Downtown Toronto is 800 KM to the southeast. #chapleau #northernontario #smalltownontario #travelontario

deep in the northern woods of Chapleau Ont, on private longing road... sits our new cabin where we can go to... it's a 10 hour drive for us but it's totally worth it, we let other visitors stay during bear hunting season so thats when we dont go but its been a while as you can see, there's like small trees growing where there was grass b4!!!..thanks for watching.

Major snowstorm shuts down Hwy 11 in Ontario
From fall to serious signs of winter in no time. In Bracebridge, Ont., about 24 inches of snow fell in just a day and a half according to the town’s mayor. North of Toronto, the snow was so intense provincial police shut down Hwy 11 between Washago and Bracebridge. An out and back drive through the town of Chapleau, Ontario, Canada. We come in from the south on Highway 129 or Monk Street before crossing the Canadian Pacific tracks to drive through downtown on Birch Street. We finish up at the CP station.
Chapleau is a town of around 2,000 residents that was established in 1885 when the railroad was built through the area. The town is included in the Sudbury District, despite being about a five hour drive from the actual city of Sudbury. Timmins is 200 kilometres to the east, Sault Ste. Marie is 250 KM to the southwest. Downtown Toronto is 800 KM to the southeast.

Located four hours straight north of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, you find easily one of the most remote and off-the-beaten-paths provincial parks in the province. Potholes may be small but it's loaded with natural history!
Chapleau, Ontario
Chapleau is a township in Sudbury District, Ontario, Canada. It is home to one of the world's largest wildlife preserves. Chapleau has a population of 2,116 according to the Canada 2011 Census.
The major industries within town are the logging mill, Tembec, and the Canadian Pacific Railway railyards.
Geography and location
Chapleau is located in central Northeastern Ontario, in the heart of the Canadian Shield. Chapleau is geographically isolated; the nearest cities are Sault Ste. Marie, Timmins, and Sudbury, but all are more than a two-hour drive away. Highway 129 links the town with Highway 101, running east to Timmins and west to Wawa. Highway 129 also runs south, connecting with the Trans-Canada Highway, Highway 17 at Thessalon, 227 km from Chapleau.
Three First Nation reservations are located near the township: Chapleau Cree First Nation, Brunswick House First Nation, and Chapleau Ojibway First Nation.
One unusual feature of the community's transportation network is that because a railway yard separates the community into distinct halves, the main street in the western portion of the community loops back over itself in a manner resembling a cloverleaf interchange, and then crosses over both itself and the railway yard on a grade separation before returning to street level to link to the eastern street grid.

From fall to serious signs of winter in no time. In Bracebridge, Ont., about 24 inches of snow fell in just a day and a half according to the town’s mayor.
North of Toronto, the snow was so intense provincial police shut down Hwy 11 between Washago and Bracebridge.
The highway closure left big rigs parked waiting indefinitely while other drivers were forced to turn around and back in the other direction.
