Moscow (/ˈmɒskaʊ/ or /ˈmɒskoʊ/; Russian:Москва́, tr.Moskva;IPA:[mɐˈskva]) is the capital and the largest city of Russia, with 12.2 million residents within the city limits and 16.8 million within the urban area. Moscow has the status of a federal city in Russia.
Moskva (Москва, Moscow) is a Russian monthly literary magazine founded in 1957 in Moscow.
History
Moskva magazine was established in 1957, originally as an organ of the RSFSR Union of Writers and its Moscow department. Its first editor was Nikolay Atarov (1957-1958), succeeded by Yevgeny Popovkin (1958-1968). It was during his time that (in December 1966 - January 1967 issues) for the first time ever Mikhail Bulgakov's The Master and Margarita was published.
The magazine's third editor-in-chief Mikhail Alekseyev has brought its selling figures to record highs (775 thousand in 1989) and made history too by publishing Nikolay Karamzin's History of the Russian State (1989-1990) for the first time since 1917. In the 1990s and 2000s, under Vladimir Krupin (1990-1992) and Leonid Borodin (1992-2008), Moskva, along with Nash Sovremennik magazine and Alexander Prokhanov’s Den/Zavtra newspapers, moved into the vanguard of the so-called 'spiritual opposition' movement. In 1993 the subtitle, The Magazine of Russian Culture, was added to the magazine’s title.

A video showing the moment a drone exploded above the Kremlin in Moscow in an alleged Ukraine drone attack against the Russian president was shared on Wednesday by numerous online news outlets.
The Kremlin claimed Wednesday that Ukraine launched two drones at Russian President Vladimir Putin’s residence overnight but that security services disabled them, and the Russian leader was not injured.
The Russian claim could not be immediately verified, and a Ukrainian official said the Kyiv government had nothing to do with any alleged drone attack on the Kremlin.
Moscow, in a statement, said some debris from the downing of the drones was scattered on the grounds of the Kremlin but there were no casualties.
The Kremlin said it “regards these actions as a planned terrorist attack and an attempt on the president,” and it reserved the right to retaliate. It said that “timely actions taken by the military and special services” had disabled the drones.
Putin was not in the Kremlin at the time of the incident, according to his spokesman, Dmitry Peskov.
U.S Secretary of State Antony Blinken said he could not verify the Kremlin reports. “I would take anything coming out of the Kremlin with a very large shaker of salt,” he said.

Moscow has been targeted with a large-scale drone attack for the first time in its 15-month war in Ukraine, marking a new inflection point in a conflict the Kremlin said would never threaten the lives of ordinary Russians.

Video posted on social media early on Tuesday showed a drone flying over houses in the city’s Rublyovka district or flats in south-west neighbourhoods.
The Russian defence ministry said eight drones targeted the city overnight but Russian media close to the security services wrote that the number was many times higher. At the same time, Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, faced its third air raid in 24 hours.

The Kremlin has yet to present physical evidence supporting the Russian government’s claim that it foiled an attempt by Ukraine on President Vladimir Putin’s life with a drone attack, although videos have surfaced that purport to show the attack — including what appears to be the shooting down of a drone — and its aftermath. CNN military analyst Col. Cedric Leighton (ret.) analyzes videos of the alleged attack. #CNN #News
