Unfinished Business was promoted by the "Best of Both Worlds" concert tour with R. Kelly and Jay-Z performing songs from both their solo and joint albums. Two singles, "Big Chips" and "Don’t Let Me Die", were sent to radio stations, but only the former saw a physical release.
Unfinished Business debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart amid controversy and criticism. Like its predecessor, it was criticized for repetitive lyrics. The "Best of Both Worlds" tour filled with tension and accusations that boiled over at an October 31 show where R. Kelly was accused of erratic behavior and was pepper sprayed by a Jay-Z associate. Jay-Z and the tour promoter then banned R. Kelly from the tour claiming "lack of professionalism". R. Kelly responded by suing his co-act and touring company for $75 million for breach of contract, among other things, on November 2.Unfinished Business was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on December 1 for selling more than 1,000,000 copies in the US.
"Unfinished Business" is a song released by UK band White Lies on 28 April 2008 on 7" vinyl. It was limited to 500 copies. A re-recorded version of the song appears on their debut album To Lose My Life.... The most obvious difference is that the album version does not feature the high-pitched backing vocals by bassist Charles Cave during the final chorus.
The single's B-side, "You Still Love Him", shares its chorus melody and lyrics with the song "One Night Friend". "One Night Friend" had previously been recorded by the band under their previous incarnation, Fear of Flying. During their 2009 European tour, White Lies began playing "You Still Love Him" live for the first time.
"Unfinished Business" was written in under fifteen minutes, and directly led to the band's later name change. Lyrically the song concerns a man trying to reconnect with his estranged girlfriend, only to realise that she has already killed him, and he is in fact now a ghost. He nevertheless still tries to "dance like we used to" before the "light in the distance" comes for him.
"Unfinished Business" is the ninth episode of the third season from the science fiction television series Battlestar Galactica. It aired on December 1, 2006. Writer Michael Taylor received a nomination for the 2006 Nebula Award in the script category for this episode.
An extended version of this episode with 25 minutes of extra footage was included on the Region 1 DVD and Blu-ray releases of the third season and in the UK exclusively on the Blu-ray release
Plot
Survivor Count: 41,422
The crew of Galactica have reinstated an old military tradition by setting up a boxingring and putting rank aside — by the placing of dog tags in a metal box — crew and officers freely duke it out in one-on-one matches. Colonel Tigh is match referee.
Elsewhere in a bunk room, Starbuck has finished having sex with her estranged husband Samuel T. Anders. Starbuck remarks that their encounter was just what she needed and gets up to leave. Anders replies that he wants to reconcile their marriage. Starbuck responds that she's not ready yet and heads to the fights.
R. Kelly is the self-titled second studio album by R&B singer R. Kelly. It was released on November 14, 1995. The album was somewhat of a departure from his previous album's sexual innuendos, featuring slightly more introspective lyrics. R. Kelly was the artist's second #1 R&B album and the first one to top the Billboard 200; it spawned three #1 R&B singles in chronological order: "You Remind Me of Something", "Down Low (Nobody Has to Know)" and "I Can't Sleep Baby (If I)".
Reception
Critical response
R. Kelly received mostly positive reviews from music critics. Jim Derogatis of Rolling Stone wrote, Kelly "has grown out of his unthinking misogyny to the point where he makes a plea in 'As I Look Into My Life' to 'brothers in the ghetto' to 'love and respect that woman and bring her happiness.' Make love not war is an old message, but Kelly delivers it with sincerity. By spreading it in the hood in these violent times, he believes he's doing God's work, and who's to say he is wrong? Predecessors like Marvin Gaye and Prince have shown that great sex is spiritual, and Kelly's make-out music ranks with the best."

The album features "I'm a Wheel," and came a few years after the group dismissed Jay ...Kelly, "UnfinishedBusiness" ... With "Unfinished Business," it was definitely finished business for Jay Z and R.
