Paul Lester Overstreet (born March 17, 1955) is an American country music singer and songwriter. He recorded 10 studio albums between 1982 and 2005, and charted 16 singles on the Billboard country charts, including two No. 1 hits. He has also written singles for several other country acts, including No. 1 hits for Randy Travis, Blake Shelton, and Keith Whitley, as well as hits for The Judds and Kenny Chesney.
Overstreet was born in Vancleave, Mississippi, the son of Mary Hatten and William E. Overstreet, a minister, and was raised in Newton. Prior to his solo success, he was one third of the trio S-K-O, in which he recorded one studio album before departing and being replaced with Craig Bickhardt. Overstreet's sons, Nash and Chord, are also musicians. Nash is the lead guitarist for the pop band Hot Chelle Rae, while Chord played Sam Evans on Glee. At one time, Overstreet was married to Dolly Parton's younger sister, Freida Parton.
During his songwriting career, primarily in the Country genre, Overstreet has written or co-written 27 Top Ten songs. During this time, he has won two Grammy Awards and also won ACM and CMA Song of the Year Awards (1987 and 1988). Overstreet was named the BMI Songwriter of the Year five straight years, from 1987–91, an achievement on music row that has not been achieved before or since. He co-wrote "A Long Line of Love", "Love Can Build a Bridge", and "Forever and Ever, Amen". Other well-known hits of recent years he is known for are "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" by Kenny Chesney and "Some Beach" by Blake Shelton, which was a Number One hit in 2004.
The Centre (Chinese: 中環中心) is the fifth tallest skyscraper in Hong Kong, after International Commerce Centre, Two International Finance Centre (88 storeys), Central Plaza and Bank of China Tower. With a height of 346 m (1,135 ft), it comprises 73 stories. The Centre is one of the few skyscrapers in Hong Kong that is entirely steel-structured with no reinforced concrete core. It is located on Queen's Road Central in the Central and Western District, roughly halfway between the MTR Island Line's Sheung Wan and Central stations.
The Centre is notable for its arrangement of hundreds of neon lights arranged as bars in increasing frequency towards the top of the building, which slowly scroll through the colours of the spectrum at night. During the Christmas season, the building's neon arrangement follows a festive motif and resembles a Christmas tree.
The direct translation of the Chinese name of the building is "Central Centre" or the "centre of Central", even though the building is in fact near the boundary of Central and Sheung Wan (Wing Kut Street).
Windham Center Historic District is a 205-acre (83 ha) area in the town of Windham, Connecticut, that is designated as a historic district.
The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. At the time, it included 61 contributing buildings out of a total of 78 buildings, and it included 2 other contributing sites. One of the buildings in the district is the Original 1832 Greek Revival style Windham Bank building, which was converted to the Windham Free Library in 1896.
Windham Center is a village in the New England town of Windham in northeast Connecticut. The District is centered on a the village green. During the town's first 125 years, this district was the most thickly settled part of the surrounding area. The village was selected as the seat of Windham County, when the latter was created in 1726, and prospered from the legal activity around the courthouse that was constructed. In the following three decades Windham Center grew to be a prosperous administrative, commercial and agricultural center.
The 4400 Center is a fictional building in the science fiction TV series The 4400. According to a postcard in the Season 3 episode "Gone", the fictional location of the center is 6265 Crescent Road, Seattle, Washington. The same street address in Vancouver, British Columbia, is the address for the Chan Centre, the real-life building portrayed as the 4400 Center.
The 4400 Center was founded by Jordan Collier in between Seasons One and Two as a place where 4400s could take sanctuary and learn to harness their abilities, and where non-4400s could seek out the "inner" 4400 in themselves. A side-effect of non-4400s joining the scheme was that they brought a great deal of money into the center.
When Jordan was assassinated, Shawn Farrell (Jordan's "protégé") took over the operation of the center.
Characters in the show sometimes call the 4400 Center a cult. Dr Kevin Burkhoff ridiculed the center's "key" scheme, where students progressed through key stages by use of meditation, learning and a sizeable monetary investment. Shawn realised Burkhoff was correct and scrapped many of the useless programmes. He brought Burkhoff into the center and Dr Burkhoff eventually developed the promicin serum as extracted from Isabelle Tyler.
Calm may The Calm refer to:
The Calm is an extended play by Insane Clown Posse that was released on May 17, 2005. This CD is the first after ICP's Jokers Card saga. The title refers to the popular phrase "the calm before the storm". The intro sets up The Tempest, their next CD released on March 20, 2007. It is the group's 6th EP, and their 20th overall release.
On the cover art, the crop circles make up the letters "ICP" in a logo adopted by the group since the end of the Jokers Cards. Several tracks on the album make references to crop circles
This was the first CD that was completely produced by the ICP themselves. The album, according to Bruce, was "A prelude to the Tempest, this was only the beginning of the end, the coming storm."
The Calm (Polish: Spokój) is a 1980 Polish television drama film directed by Krzysztof Kieślowski and starring Jerzy Stuhr, Izabella Olszewska, and Jerzy Trela. Based on a story by Lech Borski and a screenplay by Kieślowski and Jerzy Stuhr, the film is about a young man who leaves prison after a three-year sentence seeking to start a new life. His dreams of a better life are broken, however, when he is forced into a conflict between a corrupt construction company boss and his fellow workers who go on strike. The Calm was filmed on location in Kraków and completed in 1976, but was banned by the state because of its subject matter—strikes were illegal in Poland during that time. The film was finally shown on Polish television for the first time on 19 September 1980. In 1981, The Calm received the Polish Film Festival Special Jury Prize.
A young man in Poland, Antek Gralak (Jerzy Stuhr), is released from prison after serving a three-year sentence. Leaving his home town of Kraków, Antek heads for a construction site in Silesia where he is not known. He dreams of living a simple life, with a job, a wife, and home. In Silesia he is anxious to avoid trouble and is friendly with his colleagues and grateful to his employer for hiring him.

To me she is a beauty queen
I love to watch her on the screen
In our home movies
And when she sings around the house
She's got a voice that knocks me out
She is my favorite singer
But you won't see her on TV
Or hear her on the radio
Worldly fame is not her aim
And she's the first to let you know
She wants to be a homemaker
It's her dream to raise a family
And give her love to just one man
And I thank God it's me
I'll never underestimate her
'Cause she could take this word and turn it on
But she takes her love
And makes our house of home
She can't afford to spend her day
In a old soap opera haze
She's much too busy
At night she puts the kids to bed
She's makin' sure their prayers get said
Before she lays down with me
It's plain to see
That she's not seeking glory on this earth
'Cause she believes in honesty
And the joy of giving birth
She wants to be a homemaker
It's her dream to raise a family
And give her love to just one man
And I thank God it's me
I'll never underestimate her
'Cause she could take this word and turn it on
But she takes her love
