La conferencia nos acerca a Tartessos o Tartéside, la antiquísima y todavía poco conocida civilización de la Europa más Occidental, que recibió ese nombre de los griegos, que la tenían como primera civilización de Occidente.
Tartesso, posible heredera del Bronce Final Atlántico, se desarrolló sobre todo en el territorio de las actuales provincias de Huelva, Sevilla, Cádiz y Badajoz, donde se encuentran los restos arqueológicos más relevantes.
Se cree que tuvo por eje el río Tartessos, quizá el río Betis de los romanos, luego el Guadalquivir de los árabes, aunque otros autores sitúan esta civilización en la confluencia de las bocas del Odiel con el Tinto.

Se cree que tuvo por eje el río Tartessos, quizá el río Betis de los romanos, luego el Guadalquivir de los árabes, aunque otros autores sitúan esta civilización en la confluencia de las bocas del Odiel con el Tinto.
Se trata de una cultura apasionante, de la que todavía se desconoce mucho, y a la que nos pretende acercar Eva Tobalina, profesora de Historia Antigua y brillante divulgadora.
Sentimos el ruido de las toses, algo que ahora cuidamos mucho más. Pero sin duda el contenido de la conferencia vale mucho la pena.
