Here at the NRC: Researchers shake huge vehicles to the breaking point
Meet David Friberg, the Facility Manager at the NRC Structural Dynamics Lab. Here, he and his team try to break the big stuff: buses, semi trucks, military vehicles, trains. Why? To test the durability and lifespan of vehicles before they hit the market, so that manufacturers can improve weaknesses.
This is part of a video series that takes us behind closed doors to learn about the science and research happening in our National's capital. Ice, wind, vibration and printing.
