Leonard George DeStoppelaire (January 5, 1923 – February 12, 2006), better known as Lenny Dee, was a virtuoso organist who played many styles of music. His record albums were among the most popular of easy listening and space age pop organists of the 1950s through the early 1970s. His signature hit, Plantation Boogie, charted as a Top 20 hit in 1955. He also had a gold record with 1970's Spinning Wheel.
Dee played a variety of songs in numerous styles. He played original compositions, popular songs, and novelty tunes, and was a master of improvisation. Although his unique style was a pop/boogie-woogie blend, he also played ballads, country and western, jazz, rock, and patriotic songs.
Biography
Early years
Born in Chicago, Illinois in 1923, Dee was an only child (though it is sometimes erroneously reported that he was one of eleven or twelve children). As a child, he sang in his church's choir; he also played ukulele, banjo and accordion. As a teenager, he turned playing the accordion into a profession in his uncle's quartet, which he continued until he volunteered into the Navy during World War II in 1943.

As Elvis leaves the stage in his final concert tour, he makes a hand gesture. I can reveal that it is a KARATE hand gesture- specifically KENPO KARATE. Now, there is a lot fake news that it is something more sinister, but Elvis made a similar gesture before this concert as he was waiting backstage. Perhaps the reason Elvis made this gesture is that Kenpo master Ed Parker was his bodyguard for this tour. Ed can be seen just behind Elvis as he leavers the stage. This was Elvis' last-ever concert tour; this sensational clip is from Rapid City June 21, 1977 and was one of the shows which was professionally filmed for TV. The tour ended on June 26 with a great show in Indianapo...

Bless this night Im entering the fold with everything to lose Let me be ready for the end With both guns blazing Nothing can stop this war tonight Can you be my shelter? Your suicide kisses will be mine Sweet Maria Guide these bullets in the air Beautiful clash Im a blinded fool again Now Ill be cut and bruised A lovely blade run through my neck My landmine valentine These silver bullets will open your eyes And Ill be here breathing Your suicide kisses will be mine Sweet Maria Guide these bullets in the air Three more in the chamber and I said Sweet Maria Grace this moment, hear my prayer I feel you beside me Touch me, I tremble My final dance, this means everything Everything to me These silver bullets will open your eyes And Ill be here breathing Your suicide kisses will be mine Sweet Maria Guide these bullets in the air Three more in the chamber and I said Sweet Maria
