Hormone replacement therapy and breast cancer | Prof Susan Davis | The Proof Clips Ep 245
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is a treatment that provides hormones, such as estrogen and progesterone, to women who are going through menopause. HRT is commonly used to alleviate menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness, and night sweats. However, the use of HRT has been associated with an increased risk of breast cancer.
Prof Susan Davis talks about what that risk looks like for women who are overweight and women who have never had cancer.
