Sad love song with lyrics - love poem piano - Shakespeare
Love poem of November with lyrics.
The piano song "love poem" arranged for full band/orchestra.
William Shakespeare wrote a lot of poems and sonnets. I wanted to find a famous love poem to put into my piano song "love poem", so I went to find his poems about love. I found one that I like, it's called "O mistress mine", which is a poem from Shakespeare's Twelfth night.
However, "O mistress mine" is not a very sad poem. It is about somebody asking a woman to stop and accept his love. My song has a very sad melody so I changed a lot of the words and made it a sad love poem :) And here it is, I called it "Love poem of November".
Original poem by William Shakespeare:
(from Twelfth Night, actually "O mistress mine" has its own song melody, sung by a clown in the drama.)
O Mistress mine wh...

Sonnet 18: Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a date;
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,

O Mistress mine where are you roaming?
O stay and hear, your true love's coming,
That can sing both high and low.
Trip no further pretty sweeting.
Journeys end in lovers' meeting,
Every wise man's son doth know.
What is love, 'tis not hereafter,
Present mirth, hath present laughter:
What's to come, is still unsure.
In delay there lies no plenty,
Then come kiss me sweet and twenty:
Youth's a stuff will not endure.
My version:
Golden moon in the sky, where are you roaming?
Stay and hear now, my true love is ending,
Would you please tell me why
I cannot see with my eyes
Darkness came, I turned blind
Only got tears in my eyes
Shining stars in the sky, where am I going?
Stay and hear now, my whole life is fading
Would you please tell me why
I cannot see with my eyes
Darkness came, let me hide
Only got tears in my eyes (Please tell me why)
Love, what is love, 'tis not hereafter,
Nothing lasts, nothing can last forever
What's to come is, I know it is still unsure
But youth's a stuff will not endure, will not endure...
* a monologue is included in this song

Sonnet 18: Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a date;
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature’s changing course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st;
Nor shall death brag thou wander’st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow’st:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

In Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream the fairy and human worlds bleed into each other and mischief ensues. Against a backdrop of romantic manipulation and bawdy comedy, star-crossed lovers find their way to each other despite a series of enchantments.
Did you know? Most of William Shakespeare's classic comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream takes place over the course of an evening leading up to May Day.
Famous English playwright William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream was first published in 1600. Replete with mythological allusions and mistaken identities, and full of commentary on sexual politics and the complications of love, the play is one of Shakespeare's most persistently popular.
The play contains many powerful symbols, such as the moon as a potent force for love, dreams and chaos, flowers representing nature, and love’s magic. There is also the woods symbolizing the untamed nature and unpredictable fairy magic. Other themes include the patriarchy, love as a magical force, and order vs. disorder.
