Kenneth Ray "Kenny" Rogers (born August 21, 1938) is an American singer, songwriter and record producer. He is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Though he has been most successful with country audiences, he has charted more than 120 hit singles across various music genres, topped the country and pop album charts for more than 200 individual weeks in the United States alone and has sold over 120 million records worldwide, certifying his position as one of the best-selling music artists of all time. On September 25, 2015 he announced on NBC's "Today" Show that he was retiring from show business after a final tour to spend more time with his wife and twin boys.
Two of his albums, The Gambler and Kenny, are featured in the About.com poll of "The 200 Most Influential Country Albums Ever". He was voted the "Favorite Singer of All-Time" in a 1986 joint poll by readers of both USA Today and People. He has received numerous such awards as the AMAs, Grammys, ACMs and CMAs, as well as a lifetime achievement award for a career spanning six decades in 2003.
Kenneth Scott Rogers (born November 10, 1964 in Savannah, Georgia) is a former American Major League Baseball (MLB) left-handed pitcher. During a 20-year baseball career, he pitched from 1989 to 2008 for six different teams. In addition to being known for his fielding (winning five Gold Glove Awards), he pitched the fourteenth perfect game in major league baseball history. In 2008, he was the oldest baseball player in the American League.
Rogers is sometimes nicknamed "The Gambler", after a song made famous by a singer who shares his name.
Rogers grew up on a 15-acre (6.1 ha) farm in Dover, Florida.
He, his wife Rebecca Lewis, and children Jessica and Trevor Rogers reside in Westlake, Texas. He enjoys golf, fishing, and building houses for Habitat for Humanity.
Rogers was assigned to the Texas Rangers farm team after being drafted in the 39th round for $1,000 when he was 17 years old. He graduated from Plant City High School in Florida in 1982, where he played baseball only during his senior season, hitting .375 as a right fielder (he played shortstop in his senior league). He was converted into a pitcher on the strength of his throwing arm and left-handedness. Rogers spent seven years in the minor leagues before making it to the Rangers in 1989 as a reliever. He became a starting pitcher for the club in 1993.
Kenny Rogers is the title of Kenny Rogers' second solo album for United Artists Records, released worldwide in 1977. The album marked his first major solo success following the minor success of Love Lifted Me in 1976.
The album produced two singles. The first single, 1976's "Laura (What He's Got That I Ain't Got?)", peaked at #19. This song was originally a #1 country hit for Leon Ashley in 1967. In 1977, Kenny gained stardom with the single "Lucille", which climbed to the top of the country charts (both in the U.S. and Canada) and placing him squarely on the U.S. Hot 100 in the #5 position. It also blew open his solo career in the UK, reaching #1 there. Another track from the album is "I Wasn't Man Enough" which makes appearances on some of Rogers' greatest hits compilations in years to come.
The album reached #1 on the Country charts and ranked as high as #30 overall, and was certified Platinum in the U.S. (only reaching Gold in Canada).
Something for Everybody is the thirteenth album by Elvis Presley, released on RCA Victor in mono and stereo, LPM/LSP 2370, in June 1961. Recording sessions took place on November 8, 1960, at Radio Recorders in Hollywood, and on March 12, 1961 at RCA Studio B in Nashville, Tennessee. In the United States, it peaked at number 1 on Billboard's Top Pop LPs chart. It was certified Gold on July 15, 1999 by the Recording Industry Association of America.
After his military discharge from the army in March 1960, any doubts about Presley's ability to recapture the momentum of his career in the 1950s had been laid to rest. During that year his three singles had all topped the charts, and his first album, Elvis Is Back!, had gone to number 2 on the albums chart. His musical film G.I. Blues had been wildly successful, its soundtrack album also going to number 1.
Pressing on, he entered the familiar Studio B in Nashville and recorded eleven of the tracks for this album in one twelve-hour session, in addition to the single "I Feel So Bad". The single was initially scheduled to be the twelfth track for the album, but Presley chose, after RCA executive Bill Bullock overruled the Colonel who wanted "Wild In The Country" paired with "I Slipped, I Stumbled, I Fell" as the single, it to accompany the title track to the film Wild in the Country as the promotional 45 for the film. Another track that had appeared in the film but not released commercially on records, "I Slipped, I Stumbled, I Fell", became the final track for the album.
"Starting Today" is a song by American New York City based duo Nina Sky. It was released in August 2009. It was not released as a single. There is a music video released on September 3, 2009. The song was recorded in 2007 for their unreleased album. The song was listed as a track 9 on their unreleased album with the same name, set to release on July 27, 2007, then in 2008 and in 2009 (with the name "Startin' Over"). The album was never released because of Nina Sky's issues with the label Polo Grounds Music. The song later included on their third studio album Nicole and Natalie, released on July 31, 2012 (when they signed out from Polo Grounds/J Records). Later, they signed to Epic Records who released their limited CD editions of album. The track became one of Nina Sky's most popular songs and singles.
The song was written by Nicole Albino and Natalie Albino (Nina Sky), popstar Bruno Mars, songwriter Phillip Lawrence and Ari Levine. The song was produced by The Smeezingtons, who produced the album. The song was recorded in 2007 for their unreleased album Starting Today. The song was released in August 2009 for the first time. The song became popular. The music video was released on September 3, 2009. When they recorded live video (music video) they had an interview with for the M.I.S.S. TV. The song is listed as a track nine on Starting Today and track one on Nicole and Natalie.

This is Kenny Rogers' latest number one song 'Buy Me A Rose' and its offiicial music video in 1999. I'm so excited to show you that video because I was looking for it for so long! So, I hope you enjoy watching. 'Buy Me Rose' was released in 1999 on 'She Rides Wild Horses'. In 2000 it became a number one record. You also can find another version of 'Buy Me A Rose' on Kenny's 'After Dark' album which was released in 1999, too. At the end of the video you can see Kenny and Wanda Rogers. They have been married since over 10 years and they've got twins called Justin and Jordan Rogers.

Anyone can read the signs
Or the writing on the wall
It’s all right there to see
Except someone like me
Who can’t see the truth at all.
It takes a special kind of fool
To stand out in the rain
Somewhere in between
Nothing left to lose
And nothing to be gained.
What kind of fool does it take?
To go on loving alone
Like there’s some answer in the ruins
Some silver lining to be found.
An even bigger fool might think
You would care if my arm breaks
Before the time that I admit
I’m just the kind of fool love makes.
A wiser one would see
Nothing’s gonna change
There’s a time for giving up
A time for letting go
To learn from our mistakes.
But I keep holding on to hope
In spite of everything I know
What kind of fool ….
It takes a bigger fool to think
That the dawn will never break
On this day that I admit
I’m just the kind of fool love makes.
