South Dakota
South Dakota (
i/ˌsaʊθ dəˈkoʊtə/; locally [ˌsɑʊθ dəˈko̞ɾə]) is a state located in the Midwestern region of the United States. It is named after the Lakota and Dakota Sioux Native American tribes. South Dakota is the 17th most extensive, but the 5th least populous and the 5th least densely populated of the 50 United States. Once the southern portion of the Dakota Territory, South Dakota became a state on November 2, 1889, simultaneously with North Dakota. Pierre is the state capital and Sioux Falls, with a population of about 165,000, is South Dakota's largest city.
South Dakota is bordered by the states of North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Montana. The state is bisected by the Missouri River, dividing South Dakota into two geographically and socially distinct halves, known to residents as "East River" and "West River". Eastern South Dakota is home to most of the state's population, and fertile soil in this area is used to grow a variety of crops. West of the Missouri, ranching is the predominant agricultural activity, and the economy is more dependent on tourism and defense spending. The Black Hills, a group of low pine-covered mountains sacred to the Sioux, are located in the southwest part of the state. Mount Rushmore, a major tourist destination, is located there. South Dakota experiences a temperate continental climate, with four distinct seasons and precipitation ranging from moderate in the east to semi-arid in the west. The ecology of the state features species typical of a North American grassland biome.

It continued south to the Nebraska border south of Martin, after sharing an alignment with U.S. Highway 18. Except for minor route straightening and a new concurrency with Interstate 90, this route has not changed since.

Arkansas Highway 73
Arkansas Highway 73 (AR 73 and Hwy. 73) is a designation for two state highways in South Arkansas. The western route of 18.59 miles (29.92 km) runs from US 278 north to Highway 355. An eastern alignment runs 18.59 miles (29.92 km) from US 67 in east Hope to Arkansas Highway 53.
Route description
Western segment
Highway 73 begins in Hempstead County at Highway 355 near Millwood Lake, close to the Howard County line. The route briefly enters Howard County before reentering Hempstead County near Columbus and the Columbus Presbyterian Church. Highway 73 runs along the southern border of the Rick Evans Grandview Prairie Wildlife Management Area past the Grandison D. Royston House before intersecting Highway 195 at Cross Roads. The route continues further southeast through rural country before terminating at US 278.
The route is a low traffic road with less than 1000 vehicles per day (VPD) from its western terminus to the junction with Highway 195. East of the intersection the Average daily traffic (ADT) increases to about 1300 VPD (as of 2010).

U.S. Route 301 in Georgia
U.S. Route 301 (US 301) in the U.S. state of Georgia, travels north–south from the St. Marys River southeast of Folkston to the Savannah River northeast of Sylvania.
The route is signed concurrently with various state highways. It uses SR 4/SR 15 from Florida to Folkston, SR 23 from Folkston to Glennville, and SR 73 from Glennville to the Savannah River southwest of Allendale, South Carolina, except in Sylvania, where much of it is signed with SR 73 Loop. Large portions of US 301 in Georgia are concurrent with US 25.
Route description
Florida State Line to Jesup
The route starts at the Florida state line on a bridge over the St. Marys River in eastern Charlton County, and initially travels north as a four-lane highway through Folkston, co-signed with US 1, US 23, and SR 4/SR 15. In Folkston, the road intersects Main Street, which leads to a popular railfanning site on the west side, and is also the western terminus of SR 40 on the east side. One block later, the road intersects Love Street, which is also the southwestern terminus of SR 252, and later is joined by SR 23/SR 121 where another concurrency begins. A 1.33 miles (2.14 km) connecting route begins along the east side to travel southeast towards SR 40. In Homeland, US 1/US 23 turns to the northwest at an interchange where it crosses into Ware County, and initially forms the county line between Ware County and Brantley County, taking SR 4/SR 15/SR 121 with them, while US 23/US 301 heads north into the woods of northeastern Charlton County.

Nebraska Highway 61 begins at the Kansas border south of Benkelman. It goes north through farmland for one mile (1.6 km), then intersects U.S. Highway 34, with which it overlaps through Benkelman. It goes north from Benkelman to Enders Reservoir State Recreation Area, where it intersects U.S. Highway 6. They overlap north, then west into Imperial. At Imperial, Highway 61 turns north and continues north until an intersection with Nebraska Highway 23, where Highway 61 and Highway 23 turn west to go to Grant. At Grant, Highway 61 goes north and continues north until Interstate 80 at Ogallala. At I-80, an overlap with U.S. Highway 26 begins and they go north across the South Platte River and intersect U.S. Highway 30.[2][3]
Nebraska Highway 61, U.S. 26 and U.S. 30 then go west out of Ogallala, then Highway 61 and U.S. 26 turn north. Three miles later, U.S. 26 goes west while Highway 61 goes east. Highway 61 then turns north to cross the North Platte River via Kingsley Dam at the eastern end of Lake McConaughy.
