What If You Lived During the Middle Ages?
Have you ever been curious about Medieval life? Would you travel back in time if you could? Do you think you would enjoy it? How long would you last? Hear ye, hear ye! The Middle Ages sucked! After 200 years of peace and prosperity under 'Pax Romana,' the Roman Empire fell into crisis and decline. Thus began the Middle Ages, more commonly known as the Dark Ages; beginning towards the end of the 5th century and lasting until the start of the Renaissance in the 14th century.

One of the least understood periods of European history occurred between the 6th century and the 14th or 15th century (depending on which historian you ask). Commonly called the Middle Ages, this was a time period of extreme change for Europe, beginning with the fall of the Western Roman Empire. To a continent that had seen a drastic shift in the power structure, the world seemed to be particularly harsh. Rome had been a major player across Europe for well over a millennium. Then it was gone.

This is followed by a quick overview of the Crusades and religious orders, and then the Late Middle Ages, going over the Black Death, Hundred Years War, and Western Schism. Europe recovers during the Italian Renaissance, as we take a look at the famous artists and humanists of the period, before another short tour of where each region stands as the Medieval age ends. The timeframe goes a bit beyond year 500 to 1500.
This is our DOUBLE-SIZED 7th episode in the Medieval World mega-documentary!

Welcome to The Medieval World series! This series is meant to summarize broad topics in history and balances political history and events, with social/daily life, and culture. If you've watched our History of the World documentary, this series is a perfect next step. The videos are standalone, but presented in a chronological fashion. The series will be divided into 8 videos about the Medieval Period, which we call Phase 2. Once these 8 videos are completed, we will move onto Phase 3, but this project will be considered completed, and compiled into ONE MEGA-DOCUMENTARY containing all 8 parts.

Many people look at the Middle Ages through romantic eyes. They think about “armoured knights on lumbering steeds”, beautiful damsels in pointy hats, dragons, chivalry, and courtly love. Nothing could be further from the truth. For most people, the Middle Ages were dirty, difficult, and really dangerous. Let’s find out now why it was unlikely that you could stay alive and prosper and why you were likely to die quite quickly during that time. Welcome to Medieval Madness.

Shocking History Of A Slave In The Ottoman Empire
Welcome back to 🤪Crazy Histories🤪
Slave labor was a huge aspect of Ottoman life, and the republic depended heavily on free work from human beings who had no rights, no possessions, and were left at the whims of their masters to be worked to death, starved, tortured, and sometimes even killed for the sake of enjoyment. Could this be why the Ottoman empire was one of the most feared ancient empires of all time?

#AncientTone #History #ottomanempire

White slavery in the Ottoman Empire was completely different from slavery in other empires. Unlike American slavery, it was practiced under strict rules and regulations of Islamic law. Slaves were considered property in the Ottoman E...

The Ottoman Empire spanned over 623 years and was renowned for its sultanate reigns and magnificent ancient architecture. However, one aspect that stood out was the concept of slavery that the Ottomans applied. Unlike other slaves in history, the Ottoman Empire slaves were white and subject to objectification, brutal tactics, and much worse. Although the Ottoman Empire followed Islamic beliefs which prohibited slavery, the rulers at that time created harsh circumstances for the slaves, more shocking than one might think.
White slavery in the Ottoman Empire was completely different from slavery in other empires. Unlike American slavery, it was practiced under strict rules and regulations of Islamic law. Slaves were considered property in the Ottoman Empire, and according to the Islamic holy book Quran, slaves should be treated gently with no distinction based on color or creed. The slaves were treated much more gently than other brutal masters, and most of the time, the master would even free their slaves to acquire tranquility of the soul.

UK PM Rishi Sunak apologises for leaving France D-Day events early | BBC News
The UK's prime minister, Rishi Sunak, has said it was a "mistake" to leave D-Day commemorations in France early.
Mr Sunak returned to the UK early on Thursday, from events in Normandy marking the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
It later transpired he'd taken part in an ITV election interview.
After apologising, Sunak says people "can judge me by my actions when it comes to supporting the armed forces".
The UK will hold a general election on Thursday 4 July, which all parties are currently campaigning for.

STILL EARLY! Why I'm Buying Nvidia Stock (NVDA) After COMPUTEX 2024!
#nvidia ( #nvda stock ) has gained over $2 TRILLION in value since #openai released #chatgpt thanks to their Hopper (and now Blackwell) data center GPUs. During the Computex 2024 keynote, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced Rubin, the new Nvidia GPU after Blackwell, networking support for Ethernet data centers, Nvidia Inference Microservices (NIMs) to create digital human avatars and power generative AI models, and more.
Even though Nvidia is now bigger than Apple ( AAPL stock ) by market cap, I still think it's one of the best stocks to buy now and hold for the long term. Here's why!

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has issued an apology after departing from D-Day commemorations in France ahead of schedule.
World leaders, including King Charles and Prince William gathered to honour the anniversary of the 1944 Normandy landings.
Mr Sunak left following a British event, leaving Foreign Secretary David Cameron to join US President Joe Biden and France's Emmanuel Macron.
On social media platform X, he posted: "It was a mistake not to stay in France longer – and I apologise."
The Prime Minister acknowledged that the 80th anniversary of D-Day was "a profound moment," saying that the "ultimate sacrifice" of those who risked their lives should not be "overshadowed by politics."

"There's HUGE Frustration!" | Rishi Sunak SLAMMED For Leaving D-Day Event Early For TV Interview
Talk's Mike Graham is joined by political journalist Theo Underwood who says the Conservative Party is "very angry" at Rishi Sunak for skipping out on the 80th anniversary of D-Day, as he "cannot afford to make mistakes".
Rishi Sunak has apologised after skipping a major international ceremony to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day in order to carry out a General Election TV interview.
The Prime Minister said “it was a mistake” not to stay in France for the international event after he had attended the earlier British ceremony in Normandy.

He is speechless when he finally sees the velociraptor and can’t wait to get a picture with it.
You might be wondering what I’m up to in Dubai. Well, we were having such a best day ever, that I forgot to film. So back in Florida, Jenny and Adley see a baby turtle just chilling on the side of the dock. She loves all baby animals so she was super into it. Jenny and Adley go and get their wands while Niko and Baby Navey play with some friends at a playground with slides, a bounce house, and tons of fun. While Jenny and Adley are practicing magic, the dragon in the middle of Harry Potter World starts shooting fire. It was super cool!! Adley and Niko decide that very last thing they want to do before coming home was to get their faces painted. Adley gets a spaceship while niko bear is a little pirate and gets a shark!
The vlog doesn't have much of an ending, so Brandon and I came up with a plan to show some short little videos we made for the crew of the Spacestation. Since you are a member of the crew, we wanted to share it with you. Enjoy a unique cereal prize and updates from the Spacestation!!

Best Vacation Day Ever 1254
Today starts super early when Baby Navey decides to wake up Jenny and Adley at 5:30 in the morning. A very early start to their vacation morning routine! Soon Niko Bear is awake and Jenny has to figure out where to get breakfast for everyone, cause it's so early the restaurant isn’t open. They decide to go on a scavenger hunt to find food before deciding to head back to the park to ride rides.
First stop is Harry Potter World! Jenny and Adley try to ride Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. Adley still isn’t quite tall enough so Jenny goes solo on this ride and she can’t wait till the kiddos can ride it for the first time because it's her favorite ride ever. They then head to Jurassic Park where they are going to meet a real life Raptor. Niko Bear is so excited because he loves dinosaurs. He is speechless when he finally sees the velociraptor and can’t wait to get a picture with it.

He wrote: “On reflection, it was a mistake not to stay in France longer – and I apologise.”
In contrast, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer remained at the event until the end.
Rishi Sunak returned early to record an interview with ITV.
Cristo speaks with former Conservative Culture Secretary, Sir John Whittingdale.

Mr Sunak has come under intense criticism after it emerged he missed the event with fellow world leaders to head back to the UK for an ITV interview.
