Maurice Ernest Gibb, CBE (22 December 1949 – 12 January 2003) was a British singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer who achieved fame as a member of the group Bee Gees. Although his brothers Barry and Robin Gibb were the group's main lead singers, most of their albums included at least one or two Maurice Gibb compositions, including "Lay It on Me", "Country Woman" and "On Time". The Bee Gees were one of the most successful rock-pop groups ever. Gibb's role in the group focused on melody and arrangements, providing backing vocal harmony and playing a variety of instruments.
Born on the Isle of Man, Gibb started his music career in 1955 in Manchester, England, joining the skiffle-rock and roll group the Rattlesnakes which later evolved into the Bee Gees in 1958 when they moved to Australia. They returned to England, where they achieved worldwide fame. In 2002, the Bee Gees were appointed as CBEs for their "contribution to music". Following his death in 2003, Gibb's son collected his award at Buckingham Palace in 2004.
Silence Is Golden may refer to:
Silence Is Golden is A Thorn for Every Heart's first EP. It contains either six or seven tracks, depending on the version. The original version contains "Intro" as track #1 and "Next of Kin" as track #2. On later versions, those two tracks were combined as track #1. The primary song writers were Jeff Harber, Joel Holt, and Aaron Peck. Kelvin Cruz was the primary lyricist. It is the only A Thorn for Every Heart record to feature founding guitarist Joel Holt, though five of its six songs were rerecorded to fill half the track listing of the band's forthcoming debut album, Things Aren't So Beautiful Now, which served to be their only release for four and a half years after the release of "Silence Is Golden."
Silence Is Golden is a 15-minute award-winning film written and directed by Chris Shepherd and produced by Maria Manton. Set in 1970s Britain, it tells the story of a 10-year-old boy's obsession with his seemingly simple-minded neighbour Dennis. The film mixes live action with various form of animation, including stop frame, drawn 2D. The complex mixture of styles enables Shepherd to show Billy's fantasies and inner thoughts on screen.
In 2006 the film won the TCM Classic Shorts Award at the London Film Festival. Industry stars celebrated the merits of the film, Terry Gilliam: "Terrific, strong, non-sentimental kid's story", Imelda Staunton "Wonderfully surreal", Stephen Poliakoff "Technically extremely impressive, full of wit and imagination" and Matthew Modine "A wonderful combination of mixed media, strong storytelling and talented actors." The film has continued to win awards and been screened internationally.

The Tremeloes are an English rock and roll band, founded in 1958 in Dagenham, Essex. The Tremeloes are one of the longest surviving, still playing regularly more than 50 years after the group's founding. They had fourteen UK and two U.S. Top 20 hit singles. They were the first south of England group to top the chart in the beat boom era. The band first got together in 1958, when the original members were all in their teens. They were closer in years and background to early British beat bands like The Shadows than to the British Invasion bands with which they subsequently became associated. The original line-up of Brian Poole (vocals, guitar), Alan Blakely (drums), Alan Howard (saxophone), and Graham Scott (guitar), had Buddy Holly's Crickets as their inspiration. This version of the band ...

Autori - Parazzini - Crewe - Gaudio - 1968.

no, I wanted anything at all
no, I wanted a story being spoiled
oh, I know these ??? come so late
can I see it as a part of fate
oh I, am I so scared to leave you straight?
when I knew we wouldn't last a day
I think we should try to face it now
oh I have to tell you hard and wrong (??)
my lover, even you can't see me right
my lover, as the man I really am
my lovers, even you can't hold me tight
my lovers, there's a few who know me
na na na na na na na na
na na na na na na na na
no, I wanted anything at all
no, I wanted a story being told
don't cry, we may meet some other time
no lie, to me another crime
my lover, even you can't see me right
my lover, as the man I really am
my lovers, even you can't hold me tight
my lovers, there's a few who know me
