The prevailing theory of why Dylan chose "Rolling Thunder" as the tour name was that it was named after the Native AmericanshamanRolling Thunder. Others maintained that the tour was named after Operation Rolling Thunder, the U.S. aerial bombardment campaign conducted during the Vietnam War. According to Dylan, there was a simpler explanation for the name: "I was just sitting outside my house one day thinking about a name for this tour, when all of a sudden, I looked into the sky and I heard a boom! Then, boom, boom, boom, boom, rolling from west to east. So I figured that should be the name."
Rolling Thunder is a biannual "anarchist journal of dangerous living" published by the anarchist collective CrimethInc. since the Summer of 2005. The magazine is headquartered in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
It is our attempt to offer a wild-eyed, fire-breathing, militant periodical
that can cover the adventures of a dissident high school student skipping class
as easily as a street riot that sets an embassy aflame:
that neither reduces the organic impulses of revolt to inert theory
nor prioritizes conventional activism over the subversive elements present in every other walk of life
but instead focuses on sharing the stories of those who step out of line
(that is, of all of us, in our finest moments)
and sharing the skills developed in the process
(not to mention the poetry)
so that many more may do so
and do so more boldly
and so that liberty and community and all those other beautiful things
may triumph.
In a review of Issue 5, Last Hours praised the magazine for presenting "some of the best critical analysis of the anarchist movement both in the United States and in Europe … in recent years".
Attacking maneuvers are offensive moves in professional wrestling, used to set up an opponent for a submission hold or for a throw. There are a wide variety of attacking moves in pro wrestling, and many are known by several different names. Professional wrestlers frequently give their finishers new names. Occasionally, these names become popular and are used regardless of the wrestler performing the technique.
Professional wrestling contains a variety of punches and kicks found in martial arts and other fighting sports; the moves listed below are more specific to wrestling itself. Many of the moves below can also be performed from a raised platform (the top rope, the ring apron, etc.); these are called aerial variations. Moves are listed under general categories whenever possible.
Bell clap
The wrestler slaps both ears of an opponent simultaneously with the palms of his hands, distorting their balance. It is often used to escape a bear hug.
Body press
Also known as a splash, a body press involves a wrestler falling against the opponent with the core of their body. It is executed from a running or jumping position, using momentum and weight to impact the opponent, and most variations can seamlessly transition into a pin. This attack is a plancha in lucha libre.
