Remind Me (Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood song)
"Remind Me" is a song co-written and recorded by American country music singer Brad Paisley, performed as a duet with Carrie Underwood. The song was released in May 2011 as the third single from Paisley's album This Is Country Music, released May 23, 2011. The music video for the song premiered on CMT on July 26, 2011. The song was also named Taste of Country's Song of The Year for 2011. Paisley wrote this song with Kelley Lovelace and Chris DuBois.
Background
In an interview at the Billboard Country Music Summit in June 2011, Underwood described the recording of the song as "the most unorganized thing [she] had ever been a part of" but added that it "all worked out so perfectly." She and Paisley had previously discussed recording a duet for This Is Country Music but couldn't coordinate their schedules before the album was due to be completed in December 2010. The album was pushed back and Paisley contacted Underwood in February 2011, sending her a work tape of "Remind Me" with "a lot of mumbling" and Sheryl Crow singing the female part. Underwood saw potential in the song and flew from Los Angeles to Nashville to meet with Paisley, where they recorded the song on February 11, 2011. Upon the album's release in May 2011, Paisley expressed his hope that "Remind Me" would be its third single and described the decision to ask Underwood to perform on the song with him as an easy one.
"Remind Me" is the fourth single by Norwegian duo Röyksopp. The single version of "Remind Me" is a remix and is substantially different from the album version. The vocals on the song are provided by Kings of Convenience singer Erlend Øye.
"Remind Me" was also released as a double A-side single with "So Easy" after the latter was used by telecommunications company T-Mobile in a 2002 television advertisement in the UK; the single reached #21 in the UK Singles Chart. "Remind Me" was used in a 2006 U.S. advertisement for GEICO insurance.
Awarding the EP four stars from New Release Tuesday, Mary Nikkel states, "Dan Bremnes proves his ability to craft melodies and lyrics that are as musically strong as they are spiritually and emotionally engaging." Christopher Smith, giving the EP two and a half stars for Jesus Freak Hideout, writes, "anyone looking for an engaging or artistic album won't find it here." Rating the album three stars at The Sound Opinion, Lindsay Williams says, "Once listeners preview Where The Light Is, Canada’s best kept secret will be out. Bremnes possesses too much talent for Canadians to keep him all to themselves." Giving the album four stars for 365 Days of Inspiring Media, Joshua Andre writes, "Well done Dan for these six songs of wisdom, clarity and timely restoration." Kelly Meade, rating the album a 4.7 out of five from Christian Music Review, states, "Throughout the album, 'Where The Light Is reiterates the fact that no matter where we’ve been in the past, God is able and will be faithful to fulfill the promise of 2 Corinthians 5:17".
Awarding the album four stars for CCM Magazine, Matt Conner states, "Dan Bremnes has followed suit with an even stronger full-length filled with memorable tunes", where he's "Coming full-circle, now as a new father himself, this release and promising future is ever-so timely." Caitlin Lassiter, rating the album four and a half stars from New Release Today, describes, "Where The Light Is definitely doesn't have the feel of a debut album. From start to finish, this project presents effortless talent and a smooth set of skills like that of a much more seasoned artist." Signaling in a perfect ten review for Cross Rhythms, Jonathan Harris says, "Both musically and lyrically, this album is exceptional." Randy W. Cross, indicating in a four and a half star review from Worship Leader, states, "Thought-provoking, introspective lyrics join the upbeat, infectious grooves to make this a must have CD for your pop Christian music diet", with "a perfect blend within the pop variety of radio-friendly Christian music."
Remind Me Where the Light Is is the second album from the U.S. band Great Northern.

Röyksopp - Remind Me - 4K Restoration
This restoration presented some unique and interesting challenges. Firstly, the known surviving archive master by Studio H5 is a mixture of both interlaced and progressive scan clips that have been rendered as a single progressive scan source in PAL format. Interlaced video that has been re-encoded as progressive frames in this case wreaks havoc on the AI upscaling algorithm. The surviving master also has a low bitrate audio track of only 136kbps. However, there are multiple releases of this music video. It was included on a promotional DVD that had the audio track encoded at a much more desirable 384kbps. That DVD is in a completely interlaced format that could be interpolated up to 50fps with good quality retention, but its render quality is sub that of the known master, the DVD could ev...

It's only been a week
the rush of being home and rapid fading
Failing to recall
when I was busy all that time in England
Has sent me aimlessly

to knock on windows where
a friend no longer live, I had forgotten
and everywhere I go
there's always something to remind me

Röyksopp - Remind Me
After several comments, here's what I have to say about this video:
I love this song. And it has a deep meaning to me. I decided to upload this version cause I like it a little better than the original mix. It's 0k if not everyone loves this version as much as I do. I wanted to upload it with the same video the original mix has. And so, avoid these lame videos many people do by just grabbing a lot of nonsense images and put them together.
So, years (many years) ago (that's why it's not on a good resolution) I decided to merge the video from the original version and this remix. And that's it. Basically that's it. Thanks for listen, watch it and comment

That DVD is in a completely interlaced format that could be interpolated up to 50fps with good quality retention, but its render quality is sub that of the known master, the DVD could even have been a VHS source copy by the looks of it. Furthermore, the DVD contains many different scenes entirely. For example girl trades stocks in an entirely rendered stock exchange vs works in the IT department in the DVD version. Regarding the audio track on that DVD, it unfortunately presents further problems as the promotional release is an entirely different composition that lacks the "remind me" lyrics present during the initial interlude (which I personally prefer how it sounds as well). More problems arise as the song on the music video has its tempo modified from the CD release version of "Remind Me" (Someone Else's Radio Remix) as well as a different tempo than the archive master. I measured the music video release is roughly 0.35% slower tempo than the CD release. So simply audio matching this video with the CD's music is not possible. For this restoration I conceded and combined the first 20 seconds of the master with the remainder being from the promotional release track as the audio track. I would need the original studio audio recordings to properly recreate the initial interlude.
It should also be noted that the original master shows brief nudity during the dressing scene. This has been edited out to comply with YouTube policy.

Always beneath the way, always a watch It's in the fire beneath as we walk through water Sound covering now, they said, old wind man He's coming now but you won't see him out now Out now It's way too bright in here Can't be too light, can't feel our way around It's way too near, it's way too hot in here Can't feel our legs beneath We could just fall to pieces into the air On the day of all the souls, now we cannot see We're waiting on a sale, now we cannot please We're waist down in mayhem Waist down in mayhem, please Even when you walk alone, you still cannot see Even when you stand alone, you still cannot see A way out, you're sounding out It's way too bright in here Can't be too light, can't feel our way around It's way too near, it's way too hot in here Can't feel our legs beneath We could just fall to pieces into the air And all this time we'll always be Standing, just standing In time we'll never know Why we're standing, we're standing It's way too bright in here Can't be too light, can't feel our way around It's way too near, it's way too hot in here Can't feel our legs beneath We could just fall to pieces into the air
