Neil Percival Young, OC OM (born November 12, 1945) is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician. He began performing in a group covering Shadows instrumentals in Canada in 1960, before moving to California in 1966, where he co-founded the band Buffalo Springfield together with Stephen Stills and Richie Furay, and later joined Crosby, Stills & Nash in 1969. He released his first album in 1968 and has since forged a successful and acclaimed solo career, spanning over 45 years and 35 studio albums, with a continuous and uncompromizing exploration of musical styles. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame website describes Young as "one of rock and roll's greatest songwriters and performers". He was inducted into the Hall of Fame twice, first as a solo artist in 1995, and second as a member of Buffalo Springfield in 1997.
Young's music is characterized by his distinctive guitar work, deeply personal lyrics and characteristic alto or high tenor singing voice. Although he accompanies himself on several different instruments, including piano and harmonica, his idiosyncratic electric and acoustic guitar playing are the defining characteristics of a varyingly ragged and melodic sound.
Neil Young is a retired goalkeeper who played for A-League club Perth Glory. Playing the majority of his career in the Football West State League with Sorrento FC Young had trials with Crewe Alexandra, Stockport County and Bournemouth FC in England before moving to Victoria to play for the Melbourne Knights in 2008.He is now contracted as the Goalkeeping coach for the Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters.
Signed just prior to the beginning of the 2009-10 Hyundai A-League season as back-up to young Novocastrian goalkeeper Ben Kennedy, Young made his debut for the Jets at EnergyAustralia Stadium on 8 November 2009 against North Queensland Fury after a Kennedy was forced out during the warm-up by a groin injury. Although rarely called upon due to the good form of Newcastle's defence, Young enjoyed a solid debut performance and kept a clean sheet in the 2-0 victory.
In the Jets' clash against Gold Coast United on 13 January, Young was kicked in the face by Gold Coast striker Shane Smeltz when diving on a loose ball in the 18-yard box. The injury sidelined Young for the final four games of the regular season and an adverse reaction to medication meant the 30-year-old shot stopper missed the play-off final which Newcastle won 6-5 on penalties. Young was left fighting for his life and remained in intensive care for more than 6 weeks, losing 20 kilograms (25% of his body weight) in the process. Doctors had to remove his large intestine and he stopped producing white blood cells in addition to bone marrow failure.
Neil Young (born 1975) is an English former semi-professional footballer and manager of Colwyn Bay, Chester and Stockport County.
Young began his playing career as a youth team player at Tranmere Rovers, playing as a midfield player. After being released by Tranmere, he moved first to Conwy United, and then to Droylsden. However, he suffered persistent problems with a dislocated shoulder, and after his fifth dislocation he retired from playing football aged only 24.
Young started his managerial career with Poulton Victoria, in the West Cheshire League, before moving on to be assistant manager at Rhyl F.C. and Cammell Laird. He was appointed as manager of Colwyn Bay in September 2008, with Gary Jones as his assistant manager. In his first season in charge, Colwyn Bay finished fourth in the Northern Premier League Division One North with 73 points from 40 games, falling to Newcastle Blue Star in the playoff semi-finals. His second season in charge was a near-replica, again finishing fourth, this time with 75 points from 42 matches. However, on this occasion Colwyn Bay performed better in the playoffs, knocking out Curzon Ashton 2–1 in the playoff semi-final, and then beating Lancaster City 1–0 in the final to secure promotion to the Northern Premier League Premier Division. However, despite securing promotion Young would never manage Colwyn Bay in the higher division.
"Reason to Believe" is a song written, composed, and first recorded by American folk singer Tim Hardin in 1965. It has since been recorded by artists including the Carpenters and Rod Stewart in 1971 and 1993.
After having had his recording contract terminated by Columbia Records, Tim Hardin achieved some success in the 1960s as a songwriter based in Greenwich Village. The original recording of "Reason to Believe" comes from Hardin's debut album, Tim Hardin 1, recorded in 1965 and released on the Verve Records label in 1966 when he was 25.
Tim Hardin's original recording of the song is also on the soundtrack to the 2000 film Wonder Boys.
The Carpenters recorded "Reason to Believe" for their second LP, Close to You, in 1970. On television, they performed it on the The 5th Dimension Travelling Sunshine Show on August 18, 1971 and Make Your Own Kind of Music on September 7, 1971. Richard Carpenter remixed the song for the release of the 1995 compilation, Interpretations: A 25th Anniversary Celebration.
Reason To Believe is an album by Rita MacNeil, released in 1988.
Reason to Believe is the ninth studio album by the American punk rock band Pennywise, which was released on March 25, 2008 as a worldwide free digital download on MySpace. MySpace Records released the album within the United States as a standard CD and a limited-edition vinyl version with two bonus tracks not available in any other format. The album was available in Europe on March 24 through Epitaph Records. Originally to be released in 2007 based on the two-year gaps between the last eight studio albums, a tentative title for the album was Free for the People, but the title was scrapped.
Some copies of this album have the Parental Advisory label on the cover. This was the first time a Pennywise album would have a Parental Advisory label on an album cover, even though many of their albums contain profanity.
Reason to Believe peaked at #98 in the United States on the Billboard 200, and #46 in Australia on the ARIA Albums Chart, the band's second lowest position on that chart since their 1995 album About Time.
Neil Young is the self-titled debut studio album by Canadian musician Neil Young, which was his debut release as a solo artist following his departure from the band Buffalo Springfield. Released first on January 22, 1969, it was then partially remixed and re-released in November 1969. In neither case did it appear on the Billboard 200 album chart.
The album was originally released on January 22, 1969. The first release used the Haeco-CSG encoding system. This technology was intended to make stereo records compatible with mono record players, but had the unfortunate side effect of degrading the sound in both stereo and mono.
Young was unhappy with the sound quality of the first release. "The first mix was awful," he was reported as saying in Cash Box of September 6, 1969. "I was trying to bury my voice, because I didnʼt like the way it sounded." The album was therefore remixed in the summer of 1969 (as announced in Rolling Stone #47, from December 13), and re-released without Haeco-CSG processing. The words "Neil Young" were added to the album cover after what was left of the original stock had been used up, so copies of both mixes exist in the original sleeve. Copies of the original 1968 mix are now rare and sought-after, because many Neil Young fans believe that the 1969 mix diminished the songs, especially "Here We Are In The Years."
Neil Young performs a cover of Tim Hardin's "Reason to Believe" at the Farm Aid concert in Saratoga Springs, NY on September 21, 2013. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001. For more information about Farm Aid, visit: http://farmaid.org/youtube Farm Aid's performances are donated by the artists in order to raise funds and raise awareness for family farmers. They've raised their voices to help — what can you do?
One of my favorite folk songs of the 60s is "Reason to Believe" written by Tim Hardin in 1965 and covered by many other artists including Rod Stewart, The Carpenters, Johnny Cash, and Glen Campbell The original recording appeared on his debut album, Tim Hardin 1, released on the Verve Records in 1966. The album is available on CD combined with his second album.
This beautiful song is just too short! So I extended it a bit. Enjoy! http://www.johnny-cash-infocenter.com http://www.johnnycash.com

Well, I went with Mary Lou
Tried Peggy Sue
Had a date with Donna
And Barbara Ann too
But I'm kinda fonda Wanda.
Kinda fonda Wanda.
Yeah, I'm kinda fonda Wanda.
'Cause Wanda always
wanna, wanna, wanna.
Well, I went out with Jenny
Took out skinny Minnie
Long tall Sally
And short fat Fanny.
But I'm kinda fonda Wanda.
Kinda fonda Wanda.
Yeah, I'm kinda fonda Wanda.
'Cause Wanda always
wanna, wanna, wanna.
Did the bop with Miss Ann
The swim with Mary Ann,
The stroll with Betty Lou
Screwed runaround Sue
But she wasn't
as good as Wanda,
No, she'll never be
as good as Wanda.
I'm kinda fonda Wanda.
'Cause Wanda always
wanna, wanna, wanna.
Wanna, wanna, wanna,
wanna, wanna, wanna.
Kinda fonda Wanda.
Kinda fonda Wanda.
Yeah, I'm kinda fonda Wanda.
'Cause Wanda always
wanna, wanna, wanna.
Wanna, wanna, wanna,
wanna, wanna, wanna.
Wanna, wanna, wanna,
