Bonnie and Clyde Gun on Display
The pistol retrieved from inside the skirt of Bonnie Parker of the infamous gangster duo, Bonnie and Clyde, is up for sale.
The historic piece of evidence will be auctioned on January 25th.
Law enforcement officers found the pistol as Bonnie was prepped for burial in 1934.
Auction officials say the semi-automatic .38 caliber Colt, complete with the clip and six bullets, has a pre-auction estimate of between $125,000 and $175,000.
The winning bidder will also get historic photos and documentation of the duo's last stand, including a photo of the bullet-riddled Ford 4-Door Sedan.
Bonnie and her partner Clyde, whose last name is Barrow, were ambushed by law enforcement officers in Louisiana.

Bonnie & Clyde Ambush: Frank Hamer's Rifle?
Did Frank Hamer use a special Remington Model 8 with extended magazine at the ambush of Bonnie & Clyde? Evidence suggests an almost certain, "NO".

Deputy Oakley and I were carrying Remington automatic rifles and there was a third rifle of that type available for use" - True Detective Magazine, Nov. 1934

Bonnie and Clyde were together until the bitter end, and their guns will continue to stay together as well after the two pistols found on the depression outlaws bodies sold at an auction for $504,000.

The nephew of Clyde, Buddy Barrow, said he couldn't believe the pistols would prove so popular:
"I am amazed because you know I never dreamed that this stuff would sell, that much interest believe me because when I was growing up this was a taboo subject."
Other items sold at the auction included one of Bonnie Parker's silk stockings and a gold watch found on Barrow's body.

Soon the police are on the gang's trail and they are constantly on the run, even kidnapping a Texas Ranger (Denver Pyle) and setting him adrift on a raft, handcuffed, after he spits in Bonnie's face when she kisses him. That same ranger leads a later raid on the gang that leaves Buck dying, Blanche captured, and both Clyde and Bonnie injured. The ever-loyal C.W. takes them to his father's house. C.W.'s father disproves his son's affiliation with gangsters and enters a plea bargain with the Texas Rangers. A trap is set that ends in one of the bloodiest death scenes in cinematic history.
