Morgan was born in Wimbledon, London. His mother, Inga (née Bojcek), was a CatholicPole who fled the Soviets, and his father, Arthur Morgenthau, was a German Jew who fled the Nazis, arriving in London in 1933. His father died when Morgan was nine years old. Morgan attended boarding school at Downside School, Somerset, and gained a degree in Fine Art from the University of Leeds.
Peter Morgan is an American film producer. He was appointed the vice president of development of RKO Pictures in 2002 and the senior vice president of production for Sony Pictures' O.N.C. Entertainment in 2005.
Morgan played rugby from a young age including selection for the Welsh Youth team. After a spell playing with Haverfordwest RFC he switched to first class team Llanelli. In 1979 Morgan was a member of the Llanelli sevens team which won the Snelling Sevens and he was awarded the Everson Award as the player of the tournament. It was as a Llanelli player he was first selected for the Wales national team in the encounter with Scotland during the 1980 Five Nations Championship. In the same year he was chosen to represent the British Lions on their 1980 tour of South Africa. Although he was not selected for any of the Test matches, he played in seven regional encounters, scoring a try in a narrow win over Griqualand West.
Morgan played in four matches for Wales, including the 1980 game against the All Blacks at Cardiff.
Peter Henry Geoffrey Morgan (November 3, 1919 – October 20, 2003) was an Englishsports carmanufacturer and Chairman of Morgan Motor Company (MMC) from 1959 until his death in 2003. Peter inherited the Malvern, Worcestershire-based company from his father H.F.S. Morgan. Despite pressures to "modernize", he maintained the family firm's traditions of hand-crafted workmanship and slow organic growth until his son Charles took over as managing director.
Morgan was born in Chestnut Villa, his parents' house which was adjacent to the car factory in Malvern Link and where he grew up alongside his four sisters. He attended a local preparatory school, the Link School, before going to Oundle School in Northamptonshire. On leaving school he attended the Chelsea College of Automobile and Aero Engineering obtaining a first class diploma in 1940. His first job was with the British Ermeto Corporation but he shortly left and joined the Royal Army Service Corps (RASC) where he served in the motor workshops in Sierra Leone before taking over responsibility for running the Nairobi workshops and being promoted to Captain. he was demobilised in 1946.
