"If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride - and never quit, you'll be a winner. The price of victory is high but so are the rewards."
"There's a lot of blood, sweat, and guts between dreams and success."
"Show class, have pride, and display character. If you do, winning takes care of itself."
"In order to have a winner, the team must have a feeling of unity; every player must put the team first -- ahead of personal glory."
"You never know how a horse will pull until you hook him to a heavy load"
"No coach has ever won a game by what he knows; it's what his players know that counts."
"Don't give up at half time. Concentrate on winning the second half."
"Winning isn't everything, but it beats anything that comes in second."
"There is not a person alive who isn't going to have some awfully bad days in their lives. I tell my players that what I mean by fighting is when your house burns down, and your wife runs off with the drummer, and you've lost your job and all the odds are against you. What are you going to do? Most people just lay down and quit. Well, I want my people to fight back."
"There's no use fussing on a boy who doesn't have any ability."
"You never know how a horse will pull until you hook him to a heavy load."
Bear Bryant documentary 1991 - The Legacy Lives (VHS)
Produced eight years after Paul "Bear" Bryant's death, this 1991 documentary is one of effusive story telling by many who were close to him in his personal life and football coaching career. The music, narration, and stories are heartfelt, bordering on worshipful. It's a video that will ring true for older viewers alive when Bryant was coaching, but may feel outright corny for younger fans of Alabama, or college football in general. It is, however, indicative of the love so many Alabama fans and residents had for the man.
Appearances include subsequent coaches like Gene Stallings and Ray Perkins, as well as former player and present day restaurateur Bob Baumhower. Kenny Stabler, Jerry Duncan, Jim Goostree, Billy Varner, Lee Roy Jordan, and others also appear. Bryant's wife Mary Harmo...

Album: Calm before the storm (1996)
I've seen the storm clouds in your past
But rest assured 'cause you are safe
At home at last
I rescued you, you rescued me
And we're right where we should be
When we're together
I know the questions in your mind
But go ahead and ask me one more time
You'll find the answer's still the same
It won't change from day to day
For worse or better
Chorus:
Will I promise to be your best friend
And am I here until the end
Can I be sure I have been waiting for you
And did I say my love is true
Baby I will, I am, I can, I have, I do
I know the time will disappear
But this love we're building on will always be here
No way that this is sinking sand
On this solid rock we'll stand forever

Liberty Bowl 1982 (Illinois vs Alabama) and Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant's Last Game
I apologize that this video is out of context from an "outdoor and severe weather channel", but I had to post this for the college football fans. With such a football legend as Paul Bear Bryant was to college football, I thought I would share this for his fans.
In 1984, I was a videographer at a television station. I don't even consider myself a football fan, but I was asked to cover this bowl game and this was going to be his last game of his coaching career. As it turns out, this was his last game and the last few days of his life. He died about a month after this last game. This is being shared strictly for the football fans. I do take pride in being there on his last game and shooting some of the last video the football coach Paul "Bear" Bryant and his legend. The video was a sports s...

"Bear" Bryant on overcoming adversity

It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart Without saying a word you can light up the dark Try as I may I could never explain What I hear when you don't say a thing The smile on your face Lets me know that you need me There's a truth in your eyes Saying you'll never leave me The touch of your hand Says you'll catch me where ever I fall You say it best When you say nothing at all All day long I can hear people talking aloud But when you hold me near you drown out the crowd Old Mr. Webster could never define What's been said between your heart and mine The smile on your face Lets me know that you need me There's a truth in your eyes Saying you'll never leave me The touch of your hand Says you'll catch me if ever I fall You say it best When you say nothing at all The smile on your face Lets me know that you need me There's a truth in your eyes Saying you'd never leave me The touch of your hand Says you'll catch me whereever I fall You say it best
