PSAC strike: Feds tables new offer to union as disruptions persist
The federal government says it has tabled a new offer for a collective agreement with the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), as members continue their now 10-day-long nationwide strike.
Earlier in the day, the union told Global News that talks were resuming following a stalemate at the table.
Wages and remote work are among the points of contention in the labour dispute, Fortier said earlier in the week. The union says it has “moved off” its previous demand of a 13.5-per cent wage increase over three years, though by how much remains unclear.
As Mackenzie Gray reports, picket lines are still going in cities across the country despite movement at the bargaining table.

PSAC strike: Feds say “final” offer to union has enhanced wage package
As federal workers continue to strike, Ottawa says it has tabled a “final” offer to the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) that addresses “all remaining” union demands, including a beefed up wage package.
The nationwide strike stretched into an eleventh day Saturday as neither side has been able to resolve the labour dispute over wages and remote work.
The union has been seeking a wage increase of 13.5 per cent over three years, but said this week it has since “moved off” that demand.
Mackenzie Gray reports on the government’s offer and why it could signal they are ready to introduce back-to-work legislation.

PSAC ends strike as union reaches tentative deal with Treasury Board
More than 120,000 striking public servants are no longer on the picket line after their union, the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), announced it had reached a tentative deal with the Treasury Board.
The union and government resumed negotiations over the weekend and came to a deal early Monday. It came after the federal government tabled a new contract offer to the union on Friday, describing it Saturday as the final proposal.
Not everyone is off the picket line though, as members of the Canada Revenue Agency are still on strike.
The union for Canada's public servants is recommending its members ratify the tentative deal. Marianne Dimain explains more about what we know about the deal.
