Beggars is the sixth studio recording (and seventh studio album release) by Americanrock band Thrice. It was released digitally through Vagrant Records in the UK on August 9, 2009 and in the US on August 11, 2009. A physical release containing bonus material was released on September 15, 2009.
Writing and recording
Writing for Beggars began in January 2009, with the band aiming to make the record "a little more upbeat and energetic" following their two previous projects, Vheissu and The Alchemy Index, which they felt had a "sleepy feeling" to them. The recording process took place in a studio built by the band themselves in guitarist Teppei Teranishi's garage, with the aims being to save money and allow the band members to spend more time with their families.
Speaking about the record, vocalist and guitarist Dustin Kensrue stated:
On the subject of the record's title, Kensrue also commented:
Release
The first single, "All the World Is Mad," was released as a downloadable song in Guitar Hero: World Tour on July 23.
Mohair/หmoสhษษr/ is usually a silk-like fabric or yarn made from the hair of the Angora goat.
Both durable and resilient, mohair is notable for its high luster and sheen, which has helped give it the nickname the "Diamond Fiber", and is often used in fiber blends to add these qualities to a textile. Mohair takes dye exceptionally well. Mohair is warm in winter as it has excellent insulating properties, while remaining cool in summer due to its moisture wicking properties. It is durable, naturally elastic, flame resistant and crease resistant. It is considered to be a luxury fiber, like cashmere, angora and silk, and is usually more expensive than most wool that comes from sheep.
Mohair is composed mostly of keratin, a protein found in the hair, wool, horns and skin of all mammals. While it has scales like wool, the scales are not fully developed, merely indicated. Thus, mohair does not felt as wool does.
Mohair fiber is approximately 25โ45 microns in diameter. It increases in diameter with the age of the goat, growing along with the animal. Fine hair from younger animals is used for finer applications such as clothing, and the thicker hair from older animals is more often used for carpets and heavy fabrics intended for outerwear.
Mohair was a British rock band from Watford, England, that formed in 1998 and split after a final show at The Horn Reborn in St Albans on 28 September 2007.
Early Years
Mohair featured Pete Baker (drums, brass), Tom Billington (guitar, vocals), Alex Richards (keyboards, vocals), and Tim Slade (bass, vocals). The members of this rock quartet had played in various bands since their early teens, most notably a Commitments cover band. In 1998 the band started gigging locally in various line-ups, going by the name of Trooper. By 2001, they attracted the attention of a small indie label, M1 records โ and after changing their name to Mohair (due to a Canadian band already having the name Trooper), the four childhood friends were eager to make their rock and roll dreams a reality.
After signing with M1 Records in October 2001, Mohair spent much of the next 3 years touring throughout the UK. In March 2002 the band made their USA debut with performances at The Cat Club and The Roxy in Los Angeles โ and by summer 2004 the band had played over 300 gigs and appeared at every major UK festival. However, their first 2 'official' single releases (discounting their promo CD 'Octopus Chunks') arrived to little fanfare, resulting in the group parting ways with M1 Records in June 2004.
Knitting is a method by which yarn is manipulated to create a textile or fabric.
Knitting creates multiple loops of yarn, called stitches, in a line or tube. Knitting has multiple active stitches on the needle at one time. Knitted fabric consists of a number of consecutive rows of interlocking loops. As each row progresses, a newly created loop is pulled through one or more loops from the prior row, placed on the gaining needle, and the loops from the prior row are then pulled off the other needle.
Knitting may be done by hand or by using a machine.
Different types of yarns (fibre type, texture, and twist), needle sizes, and stitch types may be used to achieve knitted fabrics with diverse properties (colour, texture, weight, heat retention, water resistance, and/or integrity).
Knitting (Chinese:็้็ปๅฅณ; pinyin:Niรบ lรกn zhฤซ nว) is a 2008 Chinese film directed by Yin Lichuan. Yin's second film as director, Knitting is a romantic drama. The film was adapted by Yin from the short story "The Story of Li Ai and Haihai" by author Amei.
Though the film's setting is never stated, Knitting was shot in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou.
Cast
Zhang Yi as Li Daping. A simple woman from the north, but now living in the south of China with her boyfriend Chen Jin and has recently suffered a miscarriage as the film begins.
Yan Bingyan as Zhang Haiying. Haiying is one of Chen Jin's ex-girlfriends who suddenly moves into Daping and Chen Jin's apartment. While she bullies and taunts Daping, the two eventually come to share a bond when Chen Jin abandons a newly pregnant Daping.
Lu Yulai as Chen Jin, Li Daping's selfish boyfriend.
Background
Knitting was inspired in part on the story of the Cowheard and the Weaver Girl, the basis of the Chinese festival of Qi Xi, also called the Magpie Festival or the Chinese Valentine's Day.

Tips from the Dyeing Studio #6: Choosing a good mohair yarn pairing!
Today Iโm chatting about the effects of solid/tonal mohair/Suri colorways paired with variegated โbase yarnsโ in this episode of โTips from the Dye Studioโ. This is really just a stream of consciousness-style observation about how these pretty Mohair/suri pairings, though beautiful in skeins, squished up together in a bouquet of possibility, can actually create an effect that is unexpected and in some cases.... DISAPPOINTING. ๐จ๐ฑ. But never fear! I have ideas and a potential alternative that allows you to still create perfectly complimentary mohair/suri pairings that youโre sure to love.
Enjoy!

Tips for Knitting with Mohair Yarn
Eunny talks mohair, the hair of the angora goat, which is a unique yarn that is finer the younger the animal. Although beautiful, mohair can be difficult to knit with, so Eunny shares her tips for dealing with common mistakes: using a blunt knitting needle so the yarn is less likely to spilt, unknitting a project in mohair to fix mistakes as opposed to ripping stitches out, and a quick tip for brushing your projects to get the mohair to showcase itself for a designer look.

Enjoy!
