This series was won by Billie McKay in the grand finale against Georgia Barnes on 27 July 2015. The announcement of the winner was watched by 2.2 million metro viewers, making it the highest rated non-sport program on Australian television in the 2015 calendar year.

Top 24
The Top 24 were revealed on 5–6 May 2015. Prior to the first competition round, Jessie Spiby replaced Mario Montecuollo who revealed he had professional cooking experience.
Unlike previous seasons, the audition and preliminary stages were not broadcast; instead the season started with the Top 22 (instead of previously used Top 24). Series 5 featured themed weeks, starting with 'Girls vs. Boys'. Other themes included Italian and Middle Eastern cuisine-focused weeks, a Kids week, and weeks based on regions of the country such as the Barossa Valley and Western Australia.Masterclass was filmed in front of a live audience, with Matt Preston joining Gary and George "behind the stove".
The third series of MasterChef Australia premiered on Sunday, 1 May 2011 at 7:30 pm on Network Ten. Judges George Calombaris, Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston returned from the previous series and were joined by Matt Moran. The third series was won by Kate Bracks who defeated Michael Weldon in the grand finale on 7 August 2011. The second part of the series' final (episode 85, "The Winner Announced"), attracted an audience of 2.74 million viewers, making it the third most viewed episode of any Australian television series of 2011, only beaten by the final episodes of The Block (3.09 million) and Australia's Got Talent (2.98 million).
Changes
The third series of MasterChef Australia brought some changes to the format of the show. Joining the judging panel as a regular guest was chef Matt Moran.
A twist used in past series of the show to bring back eliminated contestants for a second chance was dropped for series 3.
While the weekly routine was mostly unchanged, there were some small differences in series 3.
In the song, the character Derek (who is featured in the story line of Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire)) attempts to convince his father, Arthur, of the great opportunities available in Australia, where there's "no drug addiction" and you can "surf like they do in the U.S.A." Derek's advertisement is compared to John Smith, who campaigned for America in a similar manner, by author Thomas Kitts.
The song also features a jam sequence lasting for approximately half the song, which is atypical for The Kinks. In the Australian single edit, this section is removed by editing an earlier section of the song into another section during a drum beat, which is then followed by a fade-out.

His half brother Our Voodoo Prince won 3 races in Britain before being sold and is currently in training with Chris Waller in Australia.
"Australia" is a song by Australian rock band Gyroscope, from the album Breed Obsession. It was released as the third single from their highly successful album, which peaked at number one on the Australian Albums Chart. Lead vocalist and songwriter Daniel Sanders speaking about the story behind the song, said "It was essentially written about myself leaving England as a tot and coming to Australia, and then growing up here, appreciating and embracing our culture and heritage and falling in love with it all. I wanted to express it for my own sake... So I could rejoice in what I love about this country".
