Marvin Gaye (/ɡeɪ/; born Marvin Pentz Gay Jr.; April 2, 1939 – April 1, 1984) was an American soul singer, songwriter, and musician. Gaye helped to shape the sound of Motown in the 1960s, first as an in-house session player and later as a solo artist with a string of hits, including How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) and I Heard It Through the Grapevine, and duet recordings with Mary Wells, Kim Weston, and Tammi Terrell, later earning the titles Prince of Motown and Prince of Soul.
During the 1970s, he recorded the concept albums What's Going On and Let's Get It On and became one of the first artists in Motown to break away from the reins of their production company.
Gaye's later recordings influenced several contemporary R&B subgenres, such as quiet storm and neo-soul. Following a period in Europe as a tax exile in the early 1980s, Gaye released the 1982 Grammy Award-winning hit "Sexual Healing" and its parent album Midnight Love.
On April 1, 1984, Gaye's father, Marvin Gay Sr., fatally shot him at their house in the West Adams district of Los Angeles. Since his death, many institutions have posthumously bestowed Gaye with awards and other honors—including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
"Marvin Gaye" is the debut single recorded, produced, and co-written by American singer Charlie Puth. It was released on February 10, 2015 by Atlantic Records, and features guest vocals by Meghan Trainor. Puth co-wrote the song with Julie Frost.
"Marvin Gaye" topped the charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, and New Zealand; peaked within the top five in Australia; and reached the Top 40 in Austria, Canada, and the United States.
Puth began his music career via YouTube. He first gained Internet attention after recording a cover of Adele's worldwide hit, "Someone Like You" with Emily Luther, who was also a student of the Berklee College of Music. Shortly afterward, they appeared on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show and were subsequently signed to Ellen's record label, eleveneleven. Puth's debut television performance was noted by Miles Beard and Ben Maddahi which led the pair to offer the former a publishing deal with the Artist Publishing Group (APG). After several months of songwriting and recording producing with a variety of recording artists like Trey Songz, Jason Derulo, and Lil Wayne, Puth was signed to Atlantic Records by Mike Caren in January 2015. Shortly afterward, Puth and Meghan Trainor announced via YouTube that they had recorded a duet together. "Marvin Gaye" was released as Puth's debut single on February 10, 2015.
The Man! is the second solo album by Leroy Hutson. The photography was by Joel Brodsky.
The Man is an album recorded and released by Scottish musician and music industry figure Bill Drummond in 1986.
In 1986, Drummond had announced his resignation from his position as an A&R man at record label WEA, citing that he was nearly 33.3 years old (33.3 rpm being significant to Drummond as the speed at which a vinyl LP revolves), and that it was "time for a revolution in my life. There is a mountain to climb the hard way, and I want to see the world from the top... ". His first move was to record and release The Man, and an accompanying spoken-word diatribe "The Manager's Speech".
In an interview in December 1990, Drummond recalled spending half a million pounds at WEA on the band Brilliant—for whom he envisioned massive worldwide success—only for them to completely flop. "At that point I thought 'What am I doing this for?' and I got out. I did an album myself, wrote the songs in five days, recorded it in five days, and put it out on Creation Records". Creation's founder, Alan McGee, named The Man his 5th favourite LP: "Bill's my pal, but I thought his record would be crap. He gave a cassette to me and I didn't play it for ages. Then I put it on when I was in the bath one night—I nearly drowned. I laughed for about half an hour. It's the work of a complete nutter".
The Man is the fifth album by alternative rock band Sponge. Vocalist Vinnie Dombroski is the only original band member left on this recording. Former Sponge producer Tim Patalan's brother Andy assumed guitar duties for this album.
All songs written by Vinnie Dombroski except where noted.
Man The is a village in Bhamo Township in Bhamo District in the Kachin State of north-eastern Burma.

Everett True (born Jeremy Andrew Thackray 21 April 1961) is an English music journalist and musician, who grew up in Chelmsford, Essex. He became interested in rock music after hearing The Residents, and formed a band with school friends. He has written and recorded as The Legend!
In 1982, he went to a gig by The Laughing Apple and met the group's lead singer Alan McGee. According to McGee: "there used to be this guy who'd stand at the front of all the gigs and dance disjointedly". They became friends and when McGee started the Communication Blur club, he offered Thackray the role of compėre, stating that Thackray "was the most un-enigmatic, boring, kindest, shyest person you could ever meet – and it just appealed to my sense of humour to make him compère." He was originally billed as "the legendary Jerry Thackray", eventually shortened to simply "The Legend". McGee also offered him a column in his new fanzine, also called Communication Blur, but Thackray left after two issues, because he objected to McGee's proposal to put a flexidisc of The Smiths on the front cover. He instead started his own zine, The Legend!, under which name he recorded the single "73 in 83", the first to be released by McGee's Creation Records. In 1984, he released a second single, "Legend Destroys the Blues", but his performing career did not take off. He puts this down to the fact that he "didn't like to perform a song more than once", although he has continued to make occasional appearances.

"I Want You" is a song written by songwriters Leon Ware and Arthur "T-Boy" Ross and recorded and released as a single by singer Marvin Gaye. Released as a single in 1976 on the Tamla label, the song introduced a change in musical styles for Gaye, who before then had been recording songs with a funk edge. Songs such as this gave him a disco audience thanks to Ware, who produced the song alongside Gaye. The song also stood to be one of Marvin's most popular singles during his later Motown period followed by his sabbatical following the release of 1973's Let's Get It On. The song eventually reached number fifteen on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Hot Selling Soul Singles chart. It also became a disco hit, reaching number ten on the Disco Singles Chart alongside "After the Danc...

Everybody needs to be cool
If you´re not, you can’t take any girl for you
You are the only man in the world
Show who is the boss, and prove that you deserve
You should know
Those things must go on
It´s time to go
All those girls want to be a man
Move your gun and retire their hands
Just let your third leg show the way
Save the world, it can´t be same
You should know
Those things must go on
It´s time to go
Everybody, take your clothes of now
Show your body, ‘cause the One has come
You should know
Those things must go on
It´s time to go
