A long gun is a category of firearms and cannons with longer barrels than other classes. In small arms, a long gun is generally designed to be fired braced against the shoulder, in contrast to a handgun, but may include mounted firearms such as the M1919 Browning Machine Gun while in artillery a long gun would be contrasted with a howitzer or carronade.

The actual length of the barrels of a long gun are subject various laws in many jurisdictions, for example by the National Firearms Act in the United States, which sets a minimum length of 16 inches (40cm) for rifle barrels and 18 inches (45cm) for shotgun barrels. Canada has a limit of 18.5 inches (47cm) for either. In addition, Canada puts a minimum fireable length for long guns with detachable or folding stocks of 26 inches (66cm). In the United States, the minimum length for long guns with detachable or folding stocks is 26 inches (66cm) with the stock in the extended position.
Gun is an American television anthology series which aired on ABC on Saturday night from April 12 to May 31, 1997 at 10:00 p.m Eastern time. The series lasted six episodes, each directed by a well-known director, before being cancelled. Each episode involves a pearl-handled .45 semi-automatic pistol as an important part of the plot. Sheepshead or Sheephead is a trick-taking card game related to the Skat family of games. It is the Americanized version of a card game that originated in Central Europe in the late 18th century under the German name Schafkopf. Sheepshead is most commonly played by five players, but variants exist to allow for two to eight players. There are also many other variants to the game rules, and many slang terms used with the game.
