David Robert Jones (8 January 1947 – 10 January 2016), known as David Bowie (/ˈboʊ.i/), was an English singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, painter, and actor. He was a figure in popular music for over five decades, and was considered by critics and musicians as an innovator, particularly for his work in the 1970s. His career was marked by reinvention and visual presentation, and his music and stagecraft significantly impacted popular music. During his lifetime, he sold an estimated 140 million records worldwide. In the UK, he was awarded nine platinum album certifications, eleven gold and eight silver, and released eleven number-one albums. In the US, he received five platinum and seven gold certifications. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.
David Bowie (1947–2016) was an English musician.

David Bowie is the debut studio album by English musician David Bowie, released on 1 June 1967, on Deram Records.
Its content bears little overt resemblance to the type of music that later made him famous, such as the folk rock of "Space Oddity" or the glam rock of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. NME critics Roy Carr and Charles Shaar Murray have said, "a listener strictly accustomed to David Bowie in his assorted '70s guises would probably find this debut album either shocking or else simply quaint", while biographer David Buckley describes its status in the Bowie discography as "the vinyl equivalent of the madwoman in the attic".The Village Voice critic Robert Christgau considered this debut and its followup to be "overwrought excursions".
David Bowie's influences at this stage of his career included the theatrical tunes of Anthony Newley, music hall numbers by acts like Tommy Steele, some of the more whimsical and 'British' material by Ray Davies of the Kinks, Syd Barrett's slightly cracked nursery rhymes for the early Pink Floyd, and the Edwardian flam shared by such contemporary songs as the Beatles' "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!" The desire of Bowie's then-manager, Ken Pitt, for his charge to become an 'all-round entertainer' rather than a 'rock star' has also been cited as impacting the songwriter's style at this time, which virtually eschewed any rock 'n' roll trappings. Bowie himself said that his debut album "seemed to have its roots all over the place, in rock and vaudeville and music hall. I didn't know if I was Max Miller or Elvis Presley".
The Man Who Sold the World is the third studio album by English rock artist David Bowie. It was originally released in the United States by Mercury Records in November 1970, and in April 1971 in the United Kingdom. The album was Bowie's first with the nucleus of what would become the "Spiders from Mars", the backing band made famous by The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars in 1972. Though author David Buckley has described Bowie's previous record David Bowie (Space Oddity) as "the first Bowie album proper",
NME critics Roy Carr and Charles Shaar Murray have said of The Man Who Sold the World, "this is where the story really starts". Departing from the largely acoustic music of Bowie's second album,The Man Who Sold the World is generally considered a hard rock and heavy metal album.
David Bowie (often referred to as David Bowie Box or Bowie Box Set) is a box set released by Sony Music Entertainment and Columbia Records. The box set includes expanded versions of all Sony-owned albums by David Bowie: Outside, Earthling, 'Hours...', Heathen and Reality (The three albums - Outside, Earthling, and "hours..." were originally issued on Virgin Records in America, but released by BMG internationally).
David Bowie is the second studio album by English musician David Bowie, released under that title by Philips in the UK, and as Man of Words/Man of Music by Mercury in the US, in November 1969. It was rereleased in 1972 by RCA as Space Oddity (the title of the opening track, which had been released as a single in July 1969 and reached No. 5 in the UK Singles Chart). Space Oddity was the name used for CD releases of the album in 1984, 1990 and 1999, but it reverted to the original, eponymous title for 2009 and 2015 reissues.
Regarding its mix of folk, balladry and prog rock, NME editors Roy Carr and Charles Shaar Murray have said, "Some of it belonged in '67 and some of it in '72, but in 1969 it all seemed vastly incongruous. Basically, David Bowie can be viewed in retrospect as all that Bowie had been and a little of what he would become, all jumbled up and fighting for control..."
The album came about after Bowie had made the transition from a cabaret/avant-garde-inspired musician to a hippie/folk-based sound and as such the album is a major turning point from his 1967 debut.
David (Bulgarian: Давид) (died 976) was a Bulgarian noble, brother of Emperor Samuel and eldest son of komes Nicholas. After the disastrous invasion of Rus' armies and the fall of North-eastern Bulgaria under Byzantine occupation in 971, he and his three younger brothers took the lead of the defence of the country. They executed their power together and each of them governed and defended a separate region. He ruled the southern-most parts of the realm from Prespa and Kastoria and was responsible for the defence the dangerous borders with Thessalonica and Thessaly. In 976 he participated in the major assault against the Byzantine Empire but was killed by vagrant Vlachs between Prespa and Kostur.
However, there's also another version about David’s origin. David gains the title "comes" during his service in the Byzantine army which recruited many Armenians from the Eastern region of the empire. The 11th-century historian Stepanos Asoghik wrote that Samuel had one brother, and they were Armenians from the district Derjan. This version is supported by the historians Nicholas Adontz, Jordan Ivanov, and Samuil's Inscription where it’s said that Samuel’s brother is David. Also, the historians Yahya and Al Makin clearly distinguish the race of Samuel and David (the Comitopouli) from the one of Moses and Aaron (the royal race):

"Lightening Frightening" was recorded during the Arnold Corns sessions (the embryo for Ziggy Stardust) and is believed to be a rip-off of Crazy Horse's "Dirty Dirty". November 2022 saw the release of the "Divine Symmetry" Bowie boxset. Continuing the new line re-issuing individual Bowie albums (starting with 1969's "Space Oddity" in 2019) this boxset now features anthology tracks all related to Bowie's Hunky Dory album. From demos, to live performances, to alternate and new mixes from producer Ken Scott, it is a must-have for any Hunky Dory diehard fans! Personally, I'm quite astounded by this release. For starters, it's a shame it hasn't been released on Youtube Music therefore making it harder to stream the boxset. Aswell as this, the quality of some of these demos are astonishingly a...
By the end of the 1980s, the rights to Bowie's pre-1983 catalogue reverted to Bowie and his former management company. Rykodisc had approached Bowie in 1988 to re-release albums on CD and Bowie agreed, and thus the Rykodisc remasters were released onto the world throughout 1990 to 1992. These included new remasters for every album from his first self-titled to Scary Monsters and also included two compilation albums. However, the Rykodisc remasters are most well known for the inclusion of bonus tracks that Bowie choose himself. Some of these bonus tracks are just your regular run-of-the-mill B-side or a non-album single - but the real neat and gritty lay in the unreleased tracks that haven't been released since! I sought after some of these deep cuts and decided to upload them myself as upl...
