Early life
Messina was born Jo Dee Marie Messina on August 25, 1970, in Framingham, Massachusetts to Vincent and Mary Messina. Her father, of Italian descent, and mother, of Irish descent, raised her in Holliston, Massachusetts alongside sisters, Terese and Marianne, and a brother, Vincent.
At an early age, Messina's love for music blossomed. She drew influence from a variety of country music artists, including Patsy Cline, Reba McEntire, and The Judds. By age 16 she was playing local clubs, singing while her brother and sister provided backup on drums and guitar. The group continued performing until Jo Dee graduated from high school.
Jo Dee Messina is the self-titled debut album of American country music singer Jo Dee Messina, released in 1996.
It was co-produced by country music artist Tim McGraw and Byron Gallimore, who has also produced all of McGraw's albums. The album's first two singles ("Heads Carolina, Tails California" and "You're Not in Kansas Anymore") both reached Top 10 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts in 1996, while follow-ups "Do You Want to Make Something of It" and "He'd Never Seen Julie Cry" both failed to enter Top 40.
The album reached number 22 on the Top Country Albums and number 146 on the Billboard 200. Seven years after its release, it was certified gold in the United States.
Let It Go is a song by Hong Kong singer and actor Jacky Cheung from his studio album “Private Corner” (2010). It was written by Roxanne Seeman, Daniel Lindstrom and Daniele Musto. The song was released to radio by Universal Music in April 2010 as the fourth single and is the seventh track on the album.
Composition and Recording
Let It Go was written over the internet by Daniel Lindstrom and Daniele Musto in Stockholm, Sweden and Roxanne Seeman in Santa Monica, California. The lyrics for “Let It Go" were adapted into Cantonese by Hong Kong songwriter Kenny So, but the chorus hook line Let It Go remained in English. The song is produced by Andrew Tuason. The recording features a gospel choir arranged by and performed with Sylvia St. James, National Director of the House of Blues Gospel Brunch at the time of the recording.
Hong Kong Music Charts
Let It Go was the fourth single reached number 16 on the HMVHK sales chart (most popular Hong Kong radio chart) April 2010. Cheung's "Private Corner" album remained at number 1 on the HMVHK sales chart for 13 weeks
Messina (/məˈsiːnə/; Italian pronunciation:[mesˈsiːna], Sicilian: Missina; Latin:Messana, Greek:Μεσσήνη) is the capital of the Italian province of Messina. It is the 3rd largest city on the island of Sicily, and the 13th largest city in Italy, with a population of more than 252,000 inhabitants in the city proper and about 650,000 in the province. It is located near the northeast corner of Sicily, at the Strait of Messina, opposite Villa San Giovanni on the mainland, and has close ties with Reggio Calabria.
The city's main resources are its seaports (commercial and military shipyards), cruise tourism, commerce, and agriculture (wine production and cultivating lemons, oranges, mandarin oranges, and olives). The city has been a Roman CatholicArchdiocese and Archimandrite seat since 1548 and is home to a locally important international fair. The city has the University of Messina, founded in 1548 by Ignatius of Loyola.
Messina has a light rail system, Tranvia di Messina, that was opened on 3 April 2003. This line is 7.7 kilometres (4.8mi) and links the city's central railway station with the city centre and harbour.
Messina is a 2012 triple album by French singer-songwriter Damien Saez. Each CD was named separately with CD 1 named "Les Échoués", CD 2 "Sur les quais" and CD 3 "Messine". The full set was titled Messina (with an a). the set was released on 17 September 2012. on Wagram Records.
The triple album was not the first by Saez as he had released in 2008 the triple album titled Varsovie - L'Alhambra - Paris. Messina is the name of a Sicilian city of particular significance for Saez. And similar to the Varsovie - L'Alhambra - Paris album, this triple album carries many geographical references and to personalities.
On 29 August 2012, two titles from the album "Betty" and "Les fils d'Artaud" were made available for free downloading. On 16 September 2012, a third track "Messine" was offered free online. Two tracks, "Marie" and "Petite Couturière" were included on album despite being much older recordings.
