When Did Exactly Mahabharata War Happen?
According to the evidence from Geology, three different catastrophic events occurred, one near the Caribbean, one in Istanbul, and the last in Dwaraka. According to the survey, these catastrophic events occurred at the same time. The chronology of these exact dates establishes that all the Hindu kings who have ruled Hastinapur since Yudhishthir are the strongest evidence that anyone could understand. Therefore, it is shown that the Mahabharata war took place during 3139 BC. C. C., that is, 5,159 years ago.

Mahabharata: the Ancient Indian Epic
The Mahabharata is an Ancient Indian Epic and is the longest epic poem in the world. It was believed to have been composed as early as the 4th c. BCE or even earlier by the sage Vyasa (who is also a character in the story). As a whole, the Mahabharata is about 10 times the length of Homer's Iliad and Odyssey put together, and the Bhagavad Gita (which is only one section of the whole epic), is considered one of the most important Hindu scriptures. The story is still popular in India today, and children are still named after the characters from the epic. The poem is all about issues of succession and the lead up to the Kurukshetra war, and then the war itself and the aftermath. Much like the Trojan War from the Iliad, the Kurukshetra war may have actually been a historical event, but through...

The Mahabharata is an Ancient Indian Epic and is the longest epic poem in the world. It was believed to have been composed as early as the 4th c. The poem is all about issues of succession and the lead up to the Kurukshetra war, and then the war itself and the aftermath. Much like the Trojan War from the Iliad, the Kurukshetra war may have actually been a historical event, but through time it has been embellished to the current form, which is now considered a legendary narrative.
This video will take you through the Indian Epic the Mahabharata, beginning with the king Shantanu of Hastinapur in the region of Kuru who marries Ganga (who is actually a goddess in secret). We will take you through the epic rivalry between the Kauravas and the Pandavas, and all the times the Pandavas found themselves exiled. The whole epic culminates in the Kurukshetra War where the Pandavas are victorious and Yudhishthir becomes king of Hastinapur and Indraprastha before the Pandavas and Draupadi head to the Himalayas and plan to live the rest of their lives climbing the slopes towards the heavens.

Barbarik - One Who Could Finish Mahabharata War In One Minute
The story of Barbarik is a folk tale that is a part of many regional versions of Mahabharata but not the original Mahabharata written by Maharishi Ved Vyasa. As per the Skanda Purana, Barbarik was the grandson of Bhima and the son of Ghatotkacha and Maurvi, the daughter of Daitya Moor. He was more powerful than the combined powers of Arjuna, Karna, Bhishma, Dronacharya and many other warriors of the Kurukshetra war. Having learnt the art of warfare from his mother, Barbarik also was blessed with three divine infallible arrows gifted to him by Lord Shiva himself. It is said that Barbarik was so powerful that according to him the war of Mahabharata could end in 1 minute if he alone was to fight it.
Krishna having heard of Barbarik willingness to fight and wanting to examine Barbarik's strength disguised himself as a Brahmin came in front of Barbarik. Krishna asked him the same question about how many days would it take to finish the war if he were to fight it alone. Barbarik replied it would take him only 1 minute to finish the battle if he was to fight it alone. Krishna was surprised at this answer of Barbarik considering the fact that Barbarik was walking towards the battlefield with just 3 arrows and a bow. To this Barbarika replied that a single arrow of his was enough to destroy all his opponents in the war, and it would then return to his quiver. Barbarik explained the power of the 3 arrows.
The first arrow would mark all the objects that Barbarik wanted to be destroyed.
The second arrow would mark all the objects that Barbarik wanted to be saved.
The third arrow would destroy all the objects marked by the first arrow OR destroy all the objects not marked by the second arrow.
Krishna then explained to him that before a battle, the head of the bravest Kshatriya needs to be sacrificed, in order to worship/sanctify the battlefield. Krishna said that he considered Barbarika to be the bravest among Kshatriyas, and was hence asking for his head in charity. In fulfillment of his promise, and in compliance with Krishna's command, Barbarika gave his head to him in charity.
