KBS offers classes to undergraduate and graduate students in biology-related fields, including the Enhancing Linkages between Mathematics and Ecology (ELME) program, which consists of three weeks of mathematics and four weeks of field work.
W.K. Kellogg Manor House
A prominent feature of the Biological Station is W.K. Kellogg’s Manor House. It is located at 3700 E. Gull Lake Drive, Hickory Corners, Michigan. Situated 110 feet (34m) above Gull Lake, it has spectacular lake views.
The W.K. Kellogg Biological Station is Michigan State University's largest off-campus research and education complex, and supplies the world with long-term data sets spanning a variety of scientific disciplines.

Undergraduate researchers and interns talk about their experiences in the summer 2022 academic programs at W.K. Kellogg Biological Station.
Each summer, students come to KBS from around the country and beyond to engage in hands-on research with resident scientists or to develop professional skills with a mentor in their areas of interest. KBS summer students live at the Station while earning credits toward their degrees through accelerated, on-site courses.
