Karen Poole (born Karen Ann Poole, 8 January 1971) is an English singer-songwriter, who gained initial fame with her younger sister, Shelly Poole, as the duoAlisha's Attic.
Karen was born in Chadwell Heath, Essex. The Poole sisters are the daughters of 1960s vocalist Brian Poole.
Abridged list of compositions
Poole has also written or co-written the following songs for the recording artists:
Lily Allen – "Cheryl Tweedy" and "Absolutely Nothing" form the album Alright, Still; "Take My Place", "As Long as I Got You" and "Life for Me" from the album Sheezus.
Poolei/puːl/ is a large coastal town and seaport in the county of Dorset, on the south coast of England. The town is 33 kilometres (21mi) east of Dorchester, and Bournemouth adjoins Poole to the east. The local council is Borough of Poole and was made a unitary authority in 1997, gaining administrative independence from Dorset County Council. The borough had a population of 147,645 according to the 2011 census, making it the second largest settlement in Dorset. Together with Bournemouth and Christchurch, the town forms the South East Dorset conurbation with a total population of over 465,000.
Human settlement in the area dates back to before the Iron Age. The earliest recorded use of the town's name was in the 12th century when the town began to emerge as an important port, prospering with the introduction of the wool trade. In later centuries the town had important trade links with North America and at its peak in the 18th century it was one of the busiest ports in Britain. During the Second World War, the town was one of the main departing points for the D-Day landings of the Normandy Invasion.
The first version of the Poole constituency existed from 1455 until 1885. During this period its exact status was a parliamentary borough, sending two burgesses to Westminster per year, except during its last 17 years when its representation was reduced to one member.
During its abeyance most of Poole was in the East Dorset seat and since its recreation in 1950 its area has been reduced as the harbour town's population has increased.
The borough is an economically very diverse borough. In the centre and north are a significant minority of Output Areas which in 2001 had high rankings in the Index of Multiple Deprivation, contributing in 2012 with the remainder to producing for Poole the highest unemployment of the constituencies in the county. However, Canford Cliffs is epitomised by one sub-neighbourhood, Sandbanks with its multi-million pound properties, the coastline area has been dubbed as "Britain's Palm Beach" by the national media. Alongside oil extraction, insurance, care, retail and customer service industries choosing the town as their base tourism contributes to overall a higher income than the national average, however the divergence is not statistically significant and the size of homes varies extensively.

Topbillin' Love - Karen Poole (Chocolate Love - SNSD/f(x) English demo, rejected by Britney Spears)
demo and info from https://www.britney-online.net as well as a bunch of interviews
in 2002, justin timberlake released "cry me a river". the song implies that britney spears was unfaithful during their relationship which ultimately caused them to break up. when this happened, britney was also working on her next album titled "in the zone", and a bunch of songs were written that would've shown her point of view. in the end, the song she wrote titled "everytime" was included on the album.
the first demo was titled "phony lullaby" written by cathy dennis, which was a direct stab against justin. britney decided not to take it. when this happened, karen poole, another writer, decided to give the demo new lyrics and rework the backing track a bit. britney also turned this demo down. there was...

demo and info from https://www.britney-online.net as well as a bunch of interviews
in 2002, justin timberlake released "cry me a river". the song implies that britney spears was unfaithful during their relationship which ultimately caused them to break up. when this happened, britney was also working on her next album titled "in the zone", and a bunch of songs were written that would've shown her point of view. in the end, the song she wrote titled "everytime" was included on the album.
the first demo was titled "phony lullaby" written by cathy dennis, which was a direct stab against justin. britney decided not to take it. when this happened, karen poole, another writer, decided to give the demo new lyrics and rework the backing track a bit. britney also turned this demo down. there was yet another reworking titled "take off" and while it got further in production with britney recording vocals for it, it was still rejected.
britney rejected the first two because she felt like they were too direct, however the last one was rejected for unknown reasons. "take off" had nothing to do with justin and was instead about accepting people for who they are and told people to "take off, just fly away to find your space"
the first demo was eventually released in 2003 with a rewritten chorus and sung by rachel stevens under the name "sweet dreams my L.A ex", and "topbillin' love" was eventually reworked yet again into another song called "blah blah blah" for brooke valentine and dirty ol' bastard, released in 2005. after that in late 2007, the original demo of "topbillin' love" was accepted by SNSD and f(x) as a collaboration, and released in 2009 with lyrics in korean under the name "chocolate love".
there's currently another partially lost version of "topbillin' love" using this demo's instrumental, the original english lyrics and some different vocals by some unknown woman (one of the two group's members maybe??) seen in a video by jae shim of SM entertainment. in the video he's performing an early test choreography for the song eventually used in the music video and during live performances. the video can be seen here -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOXfHlCEOrM

demo and info from https://www.britney-online.net as well as a bunch of interviews
in 2002, justin timberlake released "cry me a river". the song implies that britney spears was unfaithful during their relationship which ultimately caused them to break up. when this happened, britney was also working on her next album titled "in the zone", and a bunch of songs were written that would've shown her point of view. in the end, the song she wrote titled "everytime" was included on the album.
the first demo was titled "phony lullaby" written by cathy dennis, which was a direct stab against justin. britney decided not to take it. when this happened, karen poole, another writer, decided to give the demo new lyrics and rework the backing track a bit. britney also turned this demo down. there was yet another reworking titled "take off" and while it got further in production with britney recording vocals for it, it was still rejected.
britney rejected the first two because she felt like they were too direct, however the last one was rejected for unknown reasons.
WDAV and FAIR PLAY Music Equity Initiative present NoteWorthy, a concert series that pairs gifted Black and brown artists from Charlotte’s music scene with classically trained musicians. Contemporary gospel artist Karen Poole brings her electrifying voice and uplifting spirit to the NoteWorthy stage with Alice Silva (violin), Keenan Harmon (trumpet), and Brent Ballard (trombone).
"Outta Here" is a reference demo track produced by Bloodshy & Avant with vocals by Karen Poole and pitched to Britney during the In The Zone sessions.
Since the song was rejected and did not make the final tracklist, it was released by the singer Sherman Chung under the title "I Don't Care"
