The "James Bond Theme" is the main signature theme of the James Bond films and has featured in every Eon Productions Bond film since Dr. No, released in 1962. The piece has been used as an accompanying fanfare to the gun barrel sequence in almost every James Bond film. It is set in the key of F, containing a B flat.
The "James Bond Theme" has accompanied the opening titles twice, as part of the medley that opens Dr. No and then again in the opening credits of From Russia with Love (1963). It has been used as music over the end credits for Dr. No, Thunderball (1965), On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), The World Is Not Enough (1999), Casino Royale (2006), Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012), and Spectre (2015).
The tune uses a surf rock style guitar riff. At the time of the first film's release, surf rock was a major craze.
Monty Norman has been credited with writing the "James Bond Theme", and has received royalties since 1962. Norman collected around £485,000 in royalties between the years 1976 and 1999. For Dr. No, the tune was arranged by John Barry, who would later go on to compose the soundtracks for eleven James Bond films. Courts have ruled twice that the theme was written by Monty Norman, despite claims and testimony by Barry that he had actually written the theme. Norman has consequently won two libel actions against publishers for claiming that Barry wrote the theme, most recently against The Sunday Times in 2001.
"James Bond Theme (Moby's Re-Version)" is American electronica musician Moby's remake of "The James Bond Theme" used in the series of James Bond films. This remake was featured in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies and is also featured as the second track in I Like to Score, a compilation of Moby's songs used in films. The song charted at number 8 in the United Kingdom, besting "Go"'s number 10 peak position on the UK Singles Chart six years earlier.. Moby has said "It did feel a little strange remixing something that was perfect in its original state", further admitting that he "still thinks the original is miles better than the version I did".
The song features two samples of dialogue from the Bond films: Pierce Brosnan saying "Bond, James Bond" as heard in GoldenEye, and the conversation between Bond and Auric Goldfinger in Goldfinger: "Do you expect me to talk" / "No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to die."
Richard Melville Hall (born September 11, 1965), better known by his stage name Moby, is an American singer-songwriter, musician, DJ and photographer. He is well known for his electronic music, vegan lifestyle, and support of animal rights. Moby has sold over 20 million albums worldwide.AllMusic considers him "one of the most important dance music figures of the early 1990s, helping bring the music to a mainstream audience both in the UK and in America".
Moby gained attention in the early 1990s with his electronic dance music work, which experimented in the techno and breakbeat hardcore genres. With his fifth studio album, the electronica and house music-influenced Play, he gained international success. Originally released in mid-1999, the album sold 6,000 copies in its first week, and it re-entered the charts in early 2000 and became an unexpected hit, producing eight singles and selling over 10 million copies worldwide. Moby followed the album in 2002 with 18, which was also successful, selling over 5 million copies worldwide and receiving mostly positive reviews, though some criticized it for being too similar to Play.
The Moby programming language is an experiment in computer programming, design and implementation. The Moby project started out as a testbed for the design of ML2000.
Moby is primarily a collaboration between Kathleen Fisher and John Reppy. Much of the work on Moby was done while John Reppy was an MTS at Bell Labs in the Computing Sciences Research Center.

The “James Bond Theme” is synonymous with James Bond himself. Composed by MONTY NORMAN for the first 007 film adventure, “DOCTOR NO” (1962), the theme immediately became a source of controversy with John Barry claiming authorship. John Barry had re-arranged the theme for Dr.No and subsequently went on to compose the music for eleven Bond films, and defined the big-brass sound of the series. Monty Norman fought in court to prove his creation of the theme several times over the years and is now recognized as the famous theme’s original composer. Monty Norman passed away at the age of 94 last month (July 2022). In his honour, we present Every "James Bond Theme" heard throughout the series. Thank you, Monty.

007; Britain's finest secret agent, licensed to kill.
Mixing business with girls and thrills.
I've seen you walk the screen, it's you that I adore.
Since I was a boy I've wanted to be like Roger Moore.
A girl in every port, and gadgets up my sleeve.
The world is not enough for the both of us it seems.
So I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.
Kissing all the girls, blow the bad guys away.
And I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.
Kissing all the girls, blow the bad guys away.
Hello Mr Bond, I've been expecting you.
Martini in your hand, and that eyebrow that you move.
Don't take this the wrong way, I know it might sound odd.
I'm the next double 0, I'm the right man for the job.
So I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.
Kissing all the girls, blow the bad guys away.
And I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.
Kissing all the girls, blow the bad guys away.
I've a license, I've a license, I've a license to thrill.
I've a license, I've a license, I've a license to kill.
I've a license, I've a license, I've a license to thrill.
I've a license, I've a license, I've a license to kill.
I wanted to be you, I wanted to be you, I wanted to be someone else.
I wanted to be you, I wanted to be you, I wanted to be someone else.
And I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.
Kissing all the girls, blow the bad guys away.
And I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.
Kissing all the girls, blow the bad guys away.
And I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.
Kissing all the girls, blow the bad guys away.
