Insider is a documentary and investigative program, hosted by the men and women of News5. It airs every Thursdays at 11:30pm-12:00 midnight (PST) on TV5. Its Producer's Cut airs every Friday at 7:30-8:30 PM (PST) on AksyonTV.

Insider
An insider is a member of any group of people of limited number and generally restricted access. The term is used in the context of secret, privileged, hidden or otherwise esoteric information or knowledge: an insider is a "member of the gang" hence knows things outsiders don't, including insider jargon.
In our complicated and information-rich world, the concept of insider knowledge is popular and pervasive, as a source of direct and useful guidance. In a given situation, an insider is contrasted with an outside expert: the expert can provide an in-depth theoretical analysis that should lead to a practical opinion, while an insider has firsthand, material knowledge. Insider information may be thought of as more accurate and valuable than expert opinion.
Roles
There are many popular cultural roles ascribed to the insider.
In criminal and social justice, whistle-blowing and leaks are seen as (often heroic) efforts of individual insiders to right wrongs by making secret information public, usually in David and Goliath situations (e.g. by revealing transgressions of governments, large corporations or other powerful organizations). When whistle-blowers are cultivated by outside forces, they are known as informants and informers.

Television (band)
Television is an American rock band, formed in New York City in 1973 and considered influential in the development of punk and alternative music.
Television was an early fixture of CBGB and the 1970s New York rock scene. Although they recorded in a stripped-down, guitar-based manner similar to their punk contemporaries, the band's music was by comparison clean, improvisational, and technically proficient, drawing influence from avant-garde jazz and 1960s rock. The group's debut album, Marquee Moon, is often considered one of the defining releases of the punk era.
History
Early history and formation
Television's roots can be traced to the teenage friendship between Tom Verlaine and Richard Hell. The duo met at Sanford School in Hockessin, Delaware, from which they ran away. Both moved to New York, separately, in the early 1970s, aspiring to be poets.
Their first group together was the Neon Boys, consisting of Verlaine on guitar and vocals, Hell on bass and vocals and Billy Ficca on drums. The group lasted from late 1972 to late 1973. A 7-inch record featuring "That's All I Know (Right Now)" and "Love Comes in Spurts" was released in 1980.

Television (film)
Television (Bengali: টেলিভিশন) is a 2013 Bangladeshi comedy drama film directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki and starring Shahir Huda Rumi, Chanchal Chowdhury, Mosharraf Karim, Nusrat Imroz Tisha, and others. The film was selected as the Bangladeshi entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards, but it was not nominated. The film originates from the director's mother who had the same destiny as the Chairman in the film, who was incapable of going to Hajj at the very ending of the film.
Plot
As a leader of the local community, Chairman Amin (Shahir Huda Rumi) bans every kind of image in his water-locked village in rural Bangladesh. He even goes on to claim that imagination is also sinful since it gives one the license to infiltrate into any prohibited territory. But change is a desperate wind that is difficult to resist by shutting the window. The tension between this traditional window and modern wind grows to such an extent that it starts to leave a ripple effect on the lives of a group of typically colorful, eccentric, and emotional people living in that village. But at the very end of the film, Television, which he hated so much, comes to the rescue and helps Chairman Amin reach a transcendental state where he and his God are unified. A new twist to the story makes him embrace IMAGE and IMAGINATION.

Show Luo (simplified Chinese: 罗志祥; traditional Chinese: 羅志祥; pinyin: Luó Zhìxiáng; born July 30, 1979) is a Taiwanese singer, actor and host. He was commonly known by his Chinese nickname Xiao Zhu(Little Pig) due to being overweight during his middle school years. He was also commonly known as “Asia’s Dance King” by the Taiwanese media for his dance skills. He is well known for hosting the Taiwanese variety show 100% Entertainment.
Show was born into a musical family. His father was a host and his mother was a singer. Their job was holding entertainment shows for different events such as the wedding.Show started playing drums when he was three and performed onstage during his childhood. He won a silver award at a singing contest when he was only 7.
In 2006, he created his own fashion brand called STAGE. Now this fashion store has branches in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore and succeeded in the fashion trend in Asia during the recent years.
Show Luo became the spokesperson for Love Blind Charity in 2008. Next year, he was asked to become the leader of “Love Blind promise Career Starter Class”. The Love Blind Charity hope Show Luo can gathering everyone’s power to help people with vision disability find a job. Show Luo encouraged people to put the coins into the donation box instead of their wallets. This money might give people with vision disability more opportunities. Show also designed some items for charity sales.

He has written various books and teaches and speaks around the country, focusing on CIA, terrorism, torture, and ethics in intelligence operations.

David Packouz is a former arms trader. In 2005, he joined the arms dealer Efraim Diveroli at AEY, bidding on contracts for the US military. In 2007, AEY won a $300 million contract to supply munitions to Afghanistan. Packouz was part of a cover-up to disguise the true identity of the ammunition, concealing that it was of Chinese origin.
After an investigation by The New York Times, he was charged with 71 counts of fraud and faced 355 years in prison. He was sentenced to seven months of house arrest, and issued with a 15-year arms-dealing ban. His story was the subject of the 2016 movie "War Dogs" and Guy Lawson's book "Arms and the Dudes."
Packouz speaks to Business Insider about corruption in shipping and transport, the influence of middlemen and politicians, and links to organized crime.
After leaving house arrest, Packouz developed Instafloss and founded the music company Singular Sound, which developed the BeatBuddy. He also cofounded War Dogs Academy, a contracting training service.
Arms trafficking involves the illegal trade and smuggling of weapons across borders, bypassing laws and fueling conflicts. Arms dealing is the legal sale of weapons by authorized dealers, conducted under strict regulations like background checks, export licenses, and oversight by bodies such as the UN Arms Trade Treaty (ATT).

Hagoromo has been described as "the Rolls-Royce" of chalk." The formerly Japanese, now Korean brand's chalk is known for its smooth consistency, vibrancy, and being nearly dust-free. But the brand almost disappeared in 2015, which sent its loyal fans into a frenzy, buying up lifetime supplies before the factory shut down. Luckily, Shin Hyeong-seok, a Korean schoolteacher and former seller of Hagoromo chalk, formed a relationship with the company's president, Watanabe Takayasu, and decided to take over. The transition wasn't easy, but Hyeong-seok's dedication to Takayasu's original formulas and methodology kept the brand alive. But is that enough to ensure its future? We visited Sejongmall, where Hagoromo chalk is made, to find out.

He breaks down the plausibility of weapons used by terrorists, such as the use of weapons of mass destruction, particularly nerve agents, in "Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation," with Tom Cruise and Simon Pegg; and the cyberterrorism attack in "Skyfall," featuring Daniel Craig and Judi Dench. Kiriakou looks at more counterterrorism strategies, such as the drone attack in "Homeland" S4E1 (2014), starring Claire Danes; and the collaboration of intelligence agencies in "Body of Lies," featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crow, and Oscar Isaac. He also reacts to the depiction of other real-life terrorist attacks, such as the 2008 Mumbai attacks in "Hotel Mumbai," starring Dev Patel; the Munich Massacre, which involved the Palestinian militant organization Black September, in "Munich," with Daniel Craig and Eric Bana; and the depiction of the hijacking of the Indian Airlines Flight 814, which landed in Kandahar International Airport in Afghanistan — IMG_3037 HDthen a stronghold of the Taliban — in "IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack" E5 + E6 (2024).
Before 9/11, Kiriakou served as a counterterrorism operations officer in Athens, Greece; and after the 9/11 attacks, Kiriakou was appointed chief of counterterrorist operations in Pakistan, where he oversaw a series of military raids on Al-Qaeda safe houses, resulting in the capture of numerous Al-Qaeda members, including leading the raid that captured Abu Zubaydah — who was then believed to be Al-Qaeda's third-highest-ranking member. He left the CIA in 2004; and in 2007, he went public with his information about the CIA's "enhanced interrogation techniques," a program of systematic torture of detainees. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison, where he pleaded guilty to a charge of revealing information that identified a covert agent. He went on to become a senior investigator for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and a terrorism consultant for ABC News. He has written various books and teaches and speaks around the country, focusing on CIA, terrorism, torture, and ethics in intelligence operations.

David Packouz is a former arms trader. In 2005, he joined the arms dealer Efraim Diveroli at AEY, bidding on contracts for the US military. In 2007, AEY won a $300 million contract to supply munitions to Afghanistan. Packouz was part of a cover-up to disguise the true identity of the ammunition, concealing that it was of Chinese origin.
After an investigation by The New York Times, he was charged with 71 counts of fraud and faced 355 years in prison. He was sentenced to seven months of house arrest, and issued with a 15-year arms-dealing ban. His story was the subject of the 2016 movie "War Dogs" and Guy Lawson's book "Arms and the Dudes."
Packouz speaks to Business Insider about corruption in shipping and transport, the influence of middlemen and politicians, and links to organized crime.
After leaving house arrest, Packouz developed Instafloss and founded the music company Singular Sound, which developed the BeatBuddy. He also cofounded War Dogs Academy, a contracting training service.
Arms trafficking involves the illegal trade and smuggling of weapons across borders, bypassing laws and fueling conflicts. Arms dealing is the legal sale of weapons by authorized dealers, conducted under strict regulations like background checks, export licenses, and oversight by bodies such as the UN Arms Trade Treaty (ATT).
