Main career
In mid-1995, Morrison released his debut single, "Crazy", which became a Top 20 hit in the UK. The follow-up single, "Let's Get Down", also entered the Top 40. They were followed in the spring of 1996 by "Return of the Mack" which became a smash international hit, spending two weeks at No. 1 on the UK charts.
His debut album, also titled Return of the Mack, followed and became a multi-platinum success. It reached number four in the UK chart and sold 3 million albums worldwide. It spun off several more hit singles over the next year: "Crazy (Remix)", "Trippin'", "Horny", and "Moan & Groan" would all reach the UK Top 10, making him the first artist in British pop history to have five Top 10 hits from a debut album.
Mark Morrison (born 14 June 1981 in Belfast) is a retired professional ice hockeyforward. He spent his entire career playing for his hometown Belfast Giants.
Morrison joined the Giants in 2003. Nicknamed "The Mo Train", Morrison began his career as a defensive minded forward, but has since become a bit of an enforcer, getting into scuffles and fights, much to the delight of Giants fans. Morrison also plays internationally for the Ireland national ice hockey team where he helped them win silver in the International Ice Hockey Federation World Championships Division III and gain promotion to Division II. At the end of the 2009/10 season Mark ended his career for the Giants.
Away from hockey, Morrison is married with two children and runs his own computer business.Mark's two brothers David and William also represented Team Ireland.
He was member of the Tulsa OilersCentral Hockey League (CHL) team that suspended operations on February 16, 1984, playing only road games for final six weeks of 1983-84 season. Despite this adversity, the team went on to win the league's championship.
In 1993, Morrison moved to Scotland to play with the Fife Flyers of the British Hockey League (BHL). He took over as Flyers coach midway through the 1995-96 season, winning various Player and Coach of the Year awards over the next 10 years.
Coaching
Morrison joined the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL as an assistant coach in 2006, where he was eventually named the replacement for Tony MacAulay midway into the 2006-07 ECHL season. He assumed the titles of head coach and general manager at the start of the 2007-08 season and continued to hold that title until the Salmon Kings officially folded on May 7, 2011, when Morrison was effectively relieved of his duties and all of his players were considered to be unrestricted free agents.
Mark Coxon Morrison (2 April 1877 – 10 May 1945) was a Scottishrugby union footballer who captained both Scotland and the British Isles. He played for Scotland twenty three times between 1896 and 1904, and captained the team fifteen times, a record which stood until the era of Arthur Smith, sixty years later. He was a farmer by trade.
He first played for Scotland against Wales in 1896, while a teenager playing for Royal HSFP. He continued to play for Scotland until 1904, and captained them a total of 15 times. With Scotland he won three Home Nations Championship with them in 1901, 1903 and 1904. Two of those Championship victories were Triple Crown wins (1901 and 1903). He was chosen to captain the British Isles on the 1903 British Lions tour to South Africa. The British Isles lost the Test series 1–0 with two drawn. In 2002 he was inducted into the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame.
