In 2023, a total of ten Scottish companies received accolades in various categories, with LMS one of just three to be honoured in the field of international trade.
The accolade was presented by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeen, Councillor David Cameron during a special event for staff and guests at LMS HQ in Aberdeen’s Energy Park. He said: “Aberdeen and the North East of Scotland have long been involved in international trade stretching back many centuries and up to the present day. Load Monitoring Systems are carrying on this proud tradition. As a company and a workforce, they should be very proud of their achievements and this prestigious King’s Award is proof, and well-deserved recognition, of their endeavours.”
Kirk Anderson, LMS Managing Director, added: “I am extremely proud of what we have achieved and this very special occasion enabled us to welcome His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant and other guests to our office as we celebrate this prestigious award. It was also a great opportunity to provide them with a ‘behind the scenes’ insight into how our business operates.”
Millar Kennedy, LMS Sales Director said: “The award is a great honour for LMS, a huge achievement for the team and recognition for their hard work and dedication. We will continue to drive forward and forge strong relationships with our customers and suppliers, because that plays a big part in our growth plans for both UK and international business”.
We specialise in the design, manufacturing, sales, rental and calibration of intelligent lifting equipment and load monitoring products and services. Overseas trading currently accounts for around half the company’s revenue, with our business providing global support to over 50 countries and in most continents. The products are used in a wide range of industry sectors including energy, renewables, subsea, decommissioning, aquaculture, entertainment and construction. We also have a comprehensive range of testing, calibration and repair facilities at our Aberdeen HQ.
