A clarinet concerto is a piece for clarinet and a large ensemble (such as an orchestra or concert band). Albert Rice has identified a work by Giuseppe Antonio Paganelli as possibly the earliest known concerto for solo clarinet; its score appears to be titled "Concerto per Clareto" and may date from 1733. It may, however, be intended for soprano chalumeau. There are earlier concerti grossi with concertino clarinet parts including two by Johann Valentin Rathgeber, published in 1728.
Famed publishing house Breitkopf & Härtel published the first clarinet concerto in 1772. The instrument's popularity soared and a flurry of early clarinet concertos ensued. Many of these early concertos have largely been forgotten, though German clarinettist Dieter Klocker specializes in these "lost" works. Famous clarinet concertos of the classical and early romantic era include those of Mozart, Carl Maria von Weber and Louis Spohr.
The concerto has a duration of roughly 19 minutes and is composed in one continuous movement. Tower described the piece in the score program note, writing:
The music critic John Henken lauded the concerto for its "remarkable" combination of "orchestral color and solo verve." Susan Bliss of the Los Angeles Times also praised the piece, writing:
Concerto is a live album by Roxy Music. All tracks were recorded during the group's "Manifesto Tour" at the Rainbow Music Hall, Denver, Colorado on April 12, 1979, except for Mother of Pearl and Editions of You, which were recorded earlier that month at the Oakland Auditorium, Oakland, California. The album was released in 2001; three years after it was previously released as Concert Classics in 1998 (which doesn't include the final two tracks). It was released again (with the same track listing) under the title Ladytron on August 19, 2002 on Superior Records. Roxy Music had no input to this album as it is not an official Roxy Music release but released under license.
Concerto 4-3 blends elements of bluegrass music with traditional classical music. The title is a word play on the fact that the piece was written for the string trio Time for Three. Additionally, the movements are titled after rivers in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, where Higdon first experienced bluegrass music in her youth.
Structure
Concerto 4-3 has a duration of roughly 20 minutes and is composed in three movements:
Mozart! is an Austrian musical, originally written in German. The original book and lyrics were written by Michael Kunze and the music and arrangements were composed by Sylvester Levay. The show is a new imagining of the struggles of the famous composer.
The original production was directed by the opera director Harry Kupfer. It premiered on October 2, 1999, in the Theater an der Wien, and the final performance was on 7 May 2001. It ran for 419 performances, showing to approximately 420,000 patrons.
Productions
The production appealed especially to younger Viennese audiences. Subsequent productions have been mounted in:
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (German:[ˈvɔlfɡaŋ amaˈdeːʊs ˈmoːtsaʁt], English see fn.; 27 January 1756– 5 December 1791), baptised as Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart, was a prolific and influential composer of the Classical era. Born in Salzburg, Mozart showed prodigious ability from his earliest childhood. Already competent on keyboard and violin, he composed from the age of five and performed before European royalty.
At 17, Mozart was engaged as a musician at the Salzburg court, but grew restless and traveled in search of a better position. While visiting Vienna in 1781, he was dismissed from his Salzburg position. He chose to stay in the capital, where he achieved fame but little financial security. During his final years in Vienna, he composed many of his best-known symphonies, concertos, and operas, and portions of the Requiem, which was largely unfinished at the time of his death. The circumstances of his early death have been much mythologized. He was survived by his wife Constanze and two sons.
Mozart Santos Batista Júnior, usually known simply as Mozart (born 8 November 1979 in Curitiba, Brazil) is a former professional association football player. He played in both the defensive midfielder and attacking midfielder positions.
He later played for Spartak Moscow, in the Russian Premier League. He terminated his contract with Spartak in March 2009, and the following month he signed for Palmeiras. Mozart's time at Palmeiras ended in August 2009 when he joined Serie A side Livorno.
In June 2014 Mozart marked his return to former club Reggina, being appointed as technical collaborator to new head coach Francesco Cozza, a former teammate of his during his time as a player.

Mozart related to Prague: Overture to “Don Giovanni”, “Prague Symphony” and the Clarinet Concerto with the excellent Sharon Kam on the clarinet.
The Estates Theatre is one of the most beautiful historical theatres in Europe. Part of its charm, magic and value lies in its historical significance, from the musical career of Mozart to modern times. In 1787 Mozart conducted here the premiere of "Don Giovanni".

Work on the Concerto was started in 1789. Mozart originally intended the work to be for basset horn, but revised it for clarinet. However, the version widely known today differs from the work Mozart produced for Stadler, since the original version was written for an instrument with an extended bass compass that allowed Stadler to demonstrate his famed ability to play low notes. The transcription for standard clarinet (published ten years after Mozart's death) therefore requires an octave transcription of the notes that cannot be produced on it, which changes the color of the work.
The first performance was given by Stadler on 16 October 1791, not in Vienna, but at his benefit concert in the Prague Theatre. It therefore seems certain that the composer never heard the composition that has become one of his best known. Cast in the usual three movements, the gentle, nostalgic lyricism of much of the Clarinet Concerto has drawn such epithets as "valedictory" and "autumnal," an assessment that downplays the extraordinary vigor and verve of this inspired work.

The Clarinet Concerto in A major was Mozart's last instrumental concerto, which was written some two months before his death. Mozart wrote concertos for many wind instruments, including flutes, oboes, and tubas. Still, his only clarinet concerto is undoubtedly the most artistically valuable. The second movement of this work, which is still frequently used as a soundtrack in films, is considered one of the most beautiful passages he ever composed. As his final gift to the world, Mozart bided farewell to the world with the mesmerizing chanting of the clarinet in this concerto.

The highlight of the Mozart Year 2006 in Prague takes place at the Estates Theatre. The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Manfred Honeck performs the most famous compositions by W.A.

Clarinet Concerto in A major, K. 622, written in 1791.
00:00 - I. Allegro
12:32 - II. Adagio
20:32 - III. Rondo. Allegro
Of the works which Mozart composed for the outstanding Viennese clarinetist Anton Stadler (1753-1812), the Clarinet Quintet in A, K.581 (written in 1789), and the present Concerto in A, completed less than two months before the composer's death in 1791, are the crowning achievements.

Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra in A major, K622,
2nd movement
Composer: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Clarinet: Xue Guangyao
Conductor: Yu Ji
Orchestra: China Philharmonic Orchestra
The Clarinet Concerto in A major was Mozart's last instrumental concerto, which was written some two months before his death. Mozart wrote concertos for many wind instruments, including flutes, oboes, and tubas. Still, his only clarinet concerto is undoubtedly the most artistically valuable. The second movement of this work, which is still frequently used as a soundtrack in films, is considered one of the most beautiful passages he ever composed. As his final gift to the world, Mozart bided farewell to the world with the mesmerizing chanting of the clarinet in this concerto.
