Harvest Wine Grape - Amazing Grape Factory - Traditional Wine Making Processing
Wine is an alcoholic beverage made from grapes fermented without the addition of sugars, acids, enzymes, water, or other nutrients.
Yeast consumes the sugar in the grapes and converts it to ethanol and carbon dioxide. Different varieties of grapes and strains of yeasts produce different styles of wine. These variations result from the complex interactions between the biochemical development of the grape, the reactions involved in fermentation, the terroir, and the production process. Many countries enact legal appellations intended to define styles and qualities of wine. Amazing Grape Harvesting and Processing Grape Juice 🍇 - Modern agricultural harvesting machines
Grape juice is obtained from crushing and blending grapes into a liquid. In the wine industry, grape juice that contains 7–23 percent of pulp, skins, stems and seeds is often referred to as must. The sugars in grape juice allow it to be used as a sweetener, and fermented and made into wine, brandy, or vinegar.

When to Harvest ORGANIC Grapes for Wine
It was time to test the grapes and decide if I needed to start harvesting yet. I got out my trusty refractometer to see what the sugar levels were at.
There are a number of factors involved in deciding if it's time to harvest grapes. It's a balance between grape quality and suitability and readiness for winemaking. And it also all depends on the season--whether you got a lot of rain or very little. This was a great season for my grapes because we didn't get any rain for the first three months of grape development, so the fruit got really sweet and the acid levels had the chance to lower somewhat.

These typically restrict the geographical origin and permitted varieties of grapes, as well as other aspects of wine production. Wines not made from grapes include rice wine and fruit wines such as plum, cherry, pomegranate, currant and elderberry.

We are Ron and Jodi. We have been together since 1992 and have been traveling and exploring around the Pacific Northwest and beyond the entire time. Please join us as we go rambling around our next 30 years while living our “work hard, play hard” philosophy. We will try to show as much of our adventures, tips and reviews as we can through our journey practicing for retirement.
This channel will be about adventures big and small, weekend getaways traveling in the motorhome exploring our region to flying away on extended vacations discovering new destinations. We hope to inspire others to make time to travel, explore and discover what our land has to offer.
We love to check out breweries, restaurants, local hikes in the area as well as traveling away to see what other destinations have to show us. We take our dogs as much as we can, but some areas aren't made for our furry kiddos.
Not every video will be an award winner but all we need is someone to laugh and enjoy the ride along the way.

The 100 Point Scoring System (from www.robertparker.com):
96-100: An extraordinary wine of profound and complex character displaying all the attributes expected of a classic wine of its variety. Wines of this caliber are worth a special effort to find, purchase and consume.
90 - 95: An outstanding wine of exceptional complexity and character. In short, these are terrific wines.
80 - 89: A barely above average to very good wine displaying various degrees of finesse and flavor as well as character with no noticeable flaws.
70 - 79: An average wine with little distinction except that it is soundly made. In essence, a straightforward, innocuous wine.
60 - 69: A below-average wine containing noticeable deficiencies, such as excessive acidity and/or tannin, an absence of flavor or possibly dirty aromas or flavors.
50 - 59: A wine deemed to be unacceptable.
It is that time of the year again when the major publications publish their best of 2024 lists, and the Wine Spectator is no exception.
They have made a big deal out of their top 10 wines this year and revealed them across a week to build up excitement for this selection.
So my team purchased most of the Top 10 wines so that I can independently review them and determine whether Wine Spectator has selected the best wines of 2024.
While print wine media is not going through a golden age the Wine Spectator is still standing and keeping up with publishing their top 100 lists. This is the 36th version as it was established in 1988
Their editors select the most “exciting” for that list and they write: In addition, our selection also prioritizes quality (based on score), value (based on price), and availability (based on the number of cases either made or imported into the United States). These criteria are applied to the wines that are rated outstanding (90 points or higher on Wine Spectator’s 100-point scale) each year to determine our Top 100.
My favorite thing about the Top 100 lists is that they are still available on the website so you can go back in time and get a glimpse of what the wine world looked like decades ago.
20 years ago in 2004 they had two Sauternes in the Top ten and the 2001 Rieussec won first place – that is unthinkable today, as demand for Sauternes has dropped significantly.
The 2004 Top 10 was pretty international including a Chilean wine, one from Spain, three from Italy, one from the US, one from Australia, and three from France.
But there was no Pinot, which would be strange today and there was no dry white wine included in the Top 10.

Burgundy, France (or as the French say, Bourgogne) is the most renowned wine region in the world, and the Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays from here are heralded as the best version of these grapes that money can buy. No region is more storied, more studied, or more sought after! And yes, Bourgogne produces the most famous, historic, and expensive wines in existence, but that’s only part of the story. Get ready to find out why the planet’s most famed wine region captivates the hearts and minds of sommeliers, collectors, investors, and normal consumers alike.

All locations, wines, and wineries are listed at: https://visforvino.com/bourgogne/
DESCRIPTION: We'll start our journey into Burgundy (or as the French say, Bourgogne) with a visit to Beaune, the medieval town at the heart of the Bourgogne wine region. Next, we'll explore the Cité des Climats with Laurent Delaunay to get an introduction to the region and learn about its famous limestone soils, before enjoying lunch with him and his daughter at the museum restaurant. Afterward, we'll visit Fromagerie Alain Hess to sample some cheese, including the renowned yet funky Époisses, which was once named the best cheese in the world! We'll pair it with a traditional-method sparkling wine, Crémant de Bourgogne, from Paul Chollet. Next, we'll delve into the appellation levels of Bourgogne (Régionale, Village, Premier Cru, and Grand Cru) before heading north to the cool hills of Chablis to explore Chardonnay vineyards rooted in ancient Kimmeridgian soil. After discussing Burgundy's iconic grapes—Pinot Noir and Chardonnay—I'll join Terroirs by Adeline for a cooking session, pairing the dishes with wines from the Côte Chalonnaise. In Beaune, we'll stop at Athenaeum, a unique wine and food bookstore unlike any I've ever seen. Then, we'll travel south to the laid-back Mâconnais region to enjoy Chardonnay with Domaine Sève. Following a visit to the Moutarderie Fallot mustard factory, I'll sit down with four winemakers from the Côte d'Or in the village of Chassagne-Montrachet, one of the world's most famous wine regions. Finally, we'll end our trip with a hike at the Rock of Solutré, reflecting on our time in this incredible region of Bourgogne.
