Haruka (遼花) is a Japanese singer-songwriter and guitarist. Born and raised in Tokyo, she started listening to rock music in her junior high school years and decided to become a musician. She released her first single Mune ni Kibō o (Keep Hope In Your Heart) in 2008 under a major label Pony Canyon. The song was used as opening theme for anime Blue Dragon. In March 2008, she released her second single Kimi no Mikata (On Your Side). After some conflicts with her label about her songwriting and musical styles, she decided to end the contract with the label. After silence of 5 years, she came back to the music industry in 2013 under her own label Club Disorder, releasing a mini-album Hymns To My Soul. On October 29, 2014, her first full-length album Anthems was released. Having spent some years of her youth in Australia, she is fluent in English. She also speaks French and answers some interviews in French.
"Haruka"(-遥か-,Distant) is the forty-third single by the Japanese band Tokio. It was released on February 3, 2010 under the label J Storm. The single topped the Oricon weekly singles chart. The songs "Haruka" and "Dash Village" are being used as theme songs for the Dash Beach and the Dash Village respectively, both segments on Tokio's long-running variety show, The Tetsuwan Dash. The Dash Village theme was originally composed by Tokio's lead singer Tomoya Nagase just shortly after the village itself was built in 2000. It has been used as the main theme since, though the version on this single is a re-recording.

There are 60 Haruka train services per day, numbered 1 to 60; odd-numbered trains run south (toward the airport) and even-numbered trains run north (away from the airport). They operate every half hour during the daytime and early evening. The typical travel time between Kyoto Station and the airport is 75 minutes for southbound trains and 73 minutes for northbound trains.
The train travels over the Umeda Freight Line which bypasses Osaka Station when it runs from the Tōkaidō Main Line to Osaka Loop Line and vice versa. Therefore, it does not stop at Osaka Station.

The first singing dog was taken from New Guinea in 1897. At that time many naturalists killed their specimens and studied them later. Such was the case with the first New Guinea dingo, which was shot and killed by Sir William MacGregor on Mount Scratchley at an elevation of 2,133 metres (6,998ft).
MacGregor sent both the skin and the skeleton, preserved in alcohol, to the Queensland Museum. He described the dog as 11.5in (29cm) at the shoulder and primarily black in colour. White markings trimmed the neck, the throat, chest and tip of the tail. In 1911 C.W. DeVis assembled and studied MacGregor's specimen, along with Professor Wood Jones, followed by H.A. Longman in 1928. From 1897 until 1954, this single specimen comprised the scientific community's entire body of knowledge regarding the New Guinea singing dog.
