The Arktika class is a Russian (former Soviet) class of nuclear-powered icebreakers; they are the largest and most powerful icebreakers ever constructed. Ships of the Arktika class are owned by the federal government, but were operated by the Murmansk Shipping Company (MSCO) until 2008, when they were transferred to the fully government-owned operator Atomflot. Of the ten civilian nuclear-powered vessels built by Russia (and the Soviet Union), six have been of this type. They are used for escorting merchant ships in the Arctic Ocean north of Siberia as well as for scientific and recreational expeditions to the Arctic.
History
On July 3, 1971, construction began on a conceptual design of a larger nuclear icebreaker, dubbed Arktika, in the Baltic Shipyard in then Leningrad. Four years later, on December 17, 1975, Moscow and Leningrad received radio messages informing them that sea trials had been completed successfully. The newest and largest nuclear icebreaker at the time was ready for the Arctic.
The shows offers social and political satire of everyday life in modern-day Russia. The premise is that although Russian people recognize that many aspects of their society are in a poor state ripe for comedy, they are still proud to live in their country, hence the title of the show ("Our Russia"). Each episode features a unique introductory monologue that describes this concept. The following was used in the first episode:
Personalities
Ravshan and Jumshud
Ravshan and Jumshud (Равшан и Джамшуд), the most popular characters of the sketch show, are gastarbeiters from the former Soviet republic of Tajikistan. They work for their boss Leonid in Moscow and call him "nasyalnika" (Russian: насяльника, mispronounced word "начальник" - boss). Ravshan does all the talking in bad Russian while Jumshud is silent for the most part, presumably because he does not understand Russian. The workers' job is to make building repairs in typical Russian apartments, but something goes wrong every time because they're terrible at their jobs, which is satirizing the current state of general disrepair in many Soviet-era buildings throughout Russia. They act like buffoons in front of their boss, who always gets so frustrated that he calls them idiots before storming out. As soon as their boss is gone, they usually discuss some serious philosophic questions in their invented "native language" (translated into Russian via subtitles).
Israel David Bascón Gigato (born 16 March 1987 in Utrera, Seville), known simply as Israel, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a right midfielder.
During the 2006 off-season, in August, vastly underplayed at Betis due to the presence of Joaquín in his position, Israel spent time at Chelsea on trial after a move to Real Madrid Castilla failed to materialise. His trial was unsuccessful, however, and the player then left for Mérida UD on a loan deal.
Israel is a Biblicalgiven name.
The patriarch Jacob was given the name Israel (Hebrew: יִשְׂרָאֵל, StandardYisraʾelTiberianYiśrāʾēl; "Triumphant with God", "who prevails with God") after he wrestled with an angel (Genesis 32:28 and 35:10). The name already occurs in Eblaite and Ugaritic texts as a common name. Commentators differ on the original literal meaning. Some say the name comes from the verb śarar ("to rule, be strong, have authority over"), thereby making the name mean "God rules" or "God judges". Other possible meanings include "the prince of God" (from the King James Version) or "El fights/struggles". "The Jewish Study Bible" of Oxford University Press says on page 68 "The scientific etymology of Israel is uncertain, a good guess being '[The God] El rules.'"
Jacob's descendants came to be known as the Israelites, eventually forming the tribes of Israel and ultimately the kingdom of Israel, whence came the name of modern-day Israel.
In Israel, the name "Israel Israeli" is sometimes used to mean someone whose name is unknown or unspecified.
First flown on 17 September 1997, the 52 passenger An-140 is manufactured at the main production line in Kharkiv by KHDABP, in Samara by Aviakor, and assembled under license by Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company (HESA) in Iran as the IrAn-140. Assembly in Kazakhstan has also been discussed in tri-partite discussions between the Kazakh government, Ukraine and Russia.

Readers looking for an incredibly charming, delicious Pinot Noir that’s going to deliver the goods should check out the 2019 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley from Hartford Court. Revealing a translucent ruby/plum color, it has a wonderful nose of spiced red and black fruits, candied violets, orange blossom, and incense. Medium-bodied on the palate, it’s wonderfully balanced, with soft, supple tannins, nicely integrated acidity, and a great finish. Drink this beauty any time over the coming 5-6 years.

How Will The World's NEWEST Nuclear Icebreaker Work?
Icebreakers are a special class of ships that are designed to break even the thickest ice. They allow you to explore the most inhospitable regions of the world - the ice-covered waters of the Arctic. For a ship to be considered an icebreaker, it must have three features that most conventional ships lack: power, a reinforced hull, and a special shape for breaking the ice. This allows such vessels to move through pack ice or frozen waterways.

They are used to provide wiring ships in the ices of the Northern Sea Route in the freezing ports of the Russian Federation, research expeditions, rescue operations and tourist cruises.
In addition to the extreme weather conditions, the shooting was complicated by the fact that the icebreaker was always in motion. And if the drone was flying over the radar tower, the recording file was damaged.

The Russian Yamal icebreaker and the 50 years of victory are the two largest and most powerful nuclear icebreakers operating at the north pole right now. The two ships' main mission is to help bigger ships to pass through the thick polar ice but also offer the possibility to go on a cruise for passengers to go on an expedition of this nature. In this icebreaker documentary, we will look closely at how the nuclear icebreaker work and take you on a tour inside.

Russia’s Project 22220 Nuclear-Powered Icebreaker Arktika Resumes Sea Trials
The Arktika lead nuclear icebreaker of project 22220 sailed out from Baltic Shipyard for the final stage of sea trials, the enterprise said.
“Innovative solutions which have never been used in a nuclear-powered vessel were implemented in the lead nuclear icebreaker.
The Arktika is equipped with electric alternating-current propulsion with asynchronous electric motors.
The icebreaker has high-voltage generators and a steam unit designed specifically for it.
Practically all equipment is Russian-made.
The running trials will test interaction of the electric motor with the nuclear power plant and the main turbo generators.
We have entered the final stage of trials.
The icebreaker will be handed over to the customer after return to the Baltic Shipyard.
It is to become operational in 2020,”

Enjoy our 30-second wine review of the Hartford Court Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2019.

Rated 94 by Jeb Dunnuck
Readers looking for an incredibly charming, delicious Pinot Noir that’s going to deliver the goods should check out the 2019 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley from Hartford Court. Revealing a translucent ruby/plum color, it has a wonderful nose of spiced red and black fruits, candied violets, orange blossom, and incense. Medium-bodied on the palate, it’s wonderfully balanced, with soft, supple tannins, nicely integrated acidity, and a great finish. Drink this beauty any time over the coming 5-6 years.
Rated 92 by Wine Enthusiast
Rounded, with substantial, elongated tannin, this is a richly layered, concentrated wine that expertly showcases the appellation in its embrace of dark blue and black fruit, cola, tea and baking spice. (Editors' Choice)
Rated 91 by Vinous Media
The 2019 Pinot Noir (Russian River) is a terrific appellation-level offering in this range from Hartford Court. Blue/purplish fruit, cinnamon, licorice and spice all grace this expressive, mid-weight Pinot. Enjoy it over the next decade.
Rated 90 by Wine Advocate
The 2019 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley was aged for 10 months in French oak barrels, 27% new. It delivers vibrant notes of black cherries, kirsch and mulberries with suggestions of garrigue and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is chock-full of ripe, juicy black and red berry flavors, supported by soft tannins, finishing with a lively red berry kick. 8,000 cases were made.
The Project 10510 "Leader" is a planned series of nuclear-powered icebreakers. The "Leader" supersedes Project 22220 icebreakers as the largest and most powerful icebreakers in the world. The lead ship the series is expected to be commissioned by 2027. A total of 3 Project 10510 icebreakers are planned.

This video was shot in the Arctic Ocean in March 2018. For 7 days our crew passed through the Barents Sea to Karsky around the Novaya Zemlya archipelago on the nuclear icebreaker Yamal - we saw the northern lights and polar bears, watched the ships stuck in the ice being towed, and were very cold.
In the video you can see two Russian icebreakers - “50 Years of Victory” and “Yamal” with a capacity of 75,000 horsepower and a distinctive shark mouth, which appeared on it in 1994 during one of the children's humanitarian programs. According to legend, someone suggested drawing a smiling shark mouth on the nose to make it more fun for children. At present, Russia has the only nuclear-powered icebreaker fleet in the world.
