Geoff Keighley is a Canadian video game journalist and presenter. His work spans online, print and TV outlets. He is most known for hosting (and being the executive producer of) the video game show , GameTrailers TV and co-hosting the now-defunct G4 show G4tv.com.
Keighley is also a freelance writer whose work has appeared in Kotaku, etc. As of January 2008, besides hosting GTTV, Keighley can still be seen as a correspondent on another G4 show, The Electric Playground, and his work can be read in monthly columns on the GameFly website. Keighley was the executive producer of the SpikeVideo Game Awards. Keighley was the executive producer of The Game Awards that was first shown in December 2014.
Presenting
In addition to GTTV, Keighley has been involved in many other video game-related project on television. On Comcast's G4 network, he appeared as the network's lead anchor for its E3 press conference coverage, interviewing CEOs from companies like Sony and Electronic Arts. For MTV he created the concept and produced (with LivePlanet) "Gears of War: Race to E3” and “Gears of War: Race to Launch,” two specials that took viewers inside the development of the hit Xbox 360 game from Microsoft. And in 2007, the Discovery Channel aired a five-hour documentary on releases including those of such companies as World of Wonder Productions, based on a treatment by Keighley, who also served as consulting producer. Geoff has also hosted and co-produced a number of video game launch specials for Spike TV, including "Madden NFL 08 Kickoff" featuring a performance by Ozzy Osbourne and "Halo 3: Launched!" featuring a performance by Linkin Park. He was also interviewed on what became a controversial Fox News' segment on Mass Effect, and was later praised by gamers online for being the only one on the show who had actually played the game.
Keighley lies in a fold between the countryside of Airedale and Keighley Moors. The town is the terminus of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, a heritage steam branch line which has been restored and runs through the Worth Valley to Oxenhope via Oakworth and Haworth. Keighley had a population of 56,348 in 2011.
History
The name Keighley, which has gone through many changes of spelling throughout its history, is accepted to mean "Cyhha's farm or clearing" and was mentioned in the Domesday Book as "In Cichhelai, Ulchel, and Thole, and Ravensuar, and William had six carucates to be taxed."
1885-1918: The civil parishes of Cowling, Glusburn, Haworth, Keighley, Steeton with Eastburn, Sutton, Thornton, and Wilsden.
1918-1950: The Municipal Borough of Keighley, the Urban Districts of Denholme, Haworth, Oakworth, Oxenhope, and Silsden, and the Rural District of Keighley.

1983-2010: The City of Bradford wards of Craven, Ilkley, Keighley North, Keighley South, Keighley West, and Worth Valley.
2010-present: The City of Bradford wards of Craven, Ilkley, Keighley Central, Keighley East, Keighley West, and Worth Valley.
Unlike many constituencies, Keighley was unaffected by the boundary changes for the general election in 2010.

Nigel Farage elected as Clacton MP | General Election 2024
Nigel Farage declared “we are coming for Labour” as he won his Clacton-on-Sea seat and became Reform UK’s second-ever MP.
After seven unsuccessful attempts to win a seat in parliament, Mr Farage said his win was “the first step of something that is going to stun all of you”.
The victory finally puts the Reform leader inside a political institution he has spent decades railing against and will test his ability to deliver on promises to voters.
Speaking after his win, Mr Farage said Reform’s performance in the election so far has been “truly extraordinary”.
“There is a massive gap on the centre-right of British politics and my job is to fill it,” he said.
“My plan is to build a mass national movement over the course of the next few years and hopefully be big enough to challenge the gen...

Who Can I Vote For?: Keighley and Ilkley
The UK General Election in 2024 uses the new electoral boundaries. Only 65 of the 650 seats are staying the same. Some seats are new, while some are abolished. In these videos we look at why boundaries are changing, a summary of the new constituency including demographics and geography, how the population of the new constituency is formed from the old seats. Then we get into the politics. We present the results for each of the constituencies in 2019, then look at the trends for the main seat that is being replaced. For the main seat, we look who won, who came second, and the majority. We look at the graph of the vote share for the last 4 elections. Then we list the final list of candidates and make a prediction for the 2024 winner based on predictions using an optimistic scenario and a bad...

Skills for Jobs White Paper - Education Secretary Gavin Williamson - 21st January 2021
Gavin Williamson MP, Secretary of State for Education, updates the House of Commons on the Skills for Jobs White Paper.
Ministerial statements are a way for Ministers to bring an important matter to the attention of the House, often at short notice. Government Ministers may make oral statements to Parliament which usually address major incidents, government policies or actions. These take place after Oral Questions and any granted Urgent Questions. After making a statement the Minister responds to questions on its topic from MPs. An hour is allocated for this. Commons statements will sometimes be repeated in the Lords at an appropriate time to fit in with the main business.

“My plan is to build a mass national movement over the course of the next few years and hopefully be big enough to challenge the general election properly in 2029.”
Earlier, Lee Anderson became Reform UK’s first MP, claiming the seat of Ashfield and kick-starting the party’s major electoral breakthrough.

The Exit Poll will be the first big moment of election night and the clearest indicator of how the parties have done and who could form the next government.
Commissioned by the broadcasters - Sky, BBC and ITV - the fieldwork is carried out by IPSOS UK who will have interviewers at 133 polling stations around the country this year.
Sky's Ed Conway explains how the poll works.

Then we list the final list of candidates and make a prediction for the 2024 winner based on predictions using an optimistic scenario and a bad day for the Conservatives.
Data is from the UK Parliament, ONS, and Who Can I Vote For?
Keir Starmer’s Labour Party won the UK general election and is on course for a huge parliamentary majority with votes still being counted, a result that upends British politics after Rishi Sunak’s Conservatives imploded. Bloomberg's Alex Morgan analyzes the results.
