9th Wonder has a smooth and soulful production style that relies on samples from artists such as Al Green and Curtis Mayfield. He attributes the bass lines that he uses in production to DJ Premier, Pete Rock and J Dilla, while he claims to have learned the sampling of "Wails and moans" from other works of music and where to position them in his songs from RZA.
Music career
9th Wonder's first significant career breakthrough came in 2003 when, as an up-and-coming producer, he released an unofficial remix album of Nas' 2002 album God's Son entitled God's Stepson. Released through internet outlets, the album garnered significant attention and acclaim. The producer has said that he was not thinking in terms of using it to generate a buzz or promote his skills at that point: "I never thought any of this of me as a producer was going to happen." The album has since been credited as starting the now regular trend for unofficial 'home-made' remixes of whole albums.
The album chronicles the biggest hits from Alabama released between 1980 and 1998. The lineup includes all 33 of their Billboard magazineHot Country Singles & Tracks No. 1 singles, as well as other songs which reached Number One on the former Radio & Records (now Mediabase 24/7) charts; each of the non-Billboard No. 1 hits made the top 5 on that chart.
Three new tracks are also included. Of these, "How Do You Fall in Love" reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart in late 1998. The follow-up single, "Keepin' Up", reached the Top 20 in early 1999, while "Five O'Clock 500" was not released as a single.
All of the greatest hits are presented in their single/radio edit forms; in some cases, the songs were nearly two minutes shorter than their original album versions.
The Essential
For the Record was re-released in 2005 as The Essential. Both albums have an identical track lineup. In his review of The Essential, Allmusic reviewer Stephen Thomas Erlewine stated that the new album title eliminated "the misleading subtitle that claimed all of the songs on the album hit No. 1." A disclaimer on the back of the album indicates that The Essential is the reissued For the Record.
For the Record is an investigative documentary television series on TheBlaze. The show was born from the idea from Glenn Beck that "real investigative journalism is dead" and that For the Record would "restore the truth" in journalism. A pilot episode titled "For the Record Presents: The Machine" aired on November 1, 2012. Season One first aired on March 13, 2013.

Britney: For the Record is a 2008 documentary television film about American singer and actress Britney Spears, following her return to the recording industry after her much-publicized personal struggles. The film was shot in Beverly Hills and New York City during the third quarter of 2008; main shooting began on September 5, 2008, two days before Spears's appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards. It was directed by Phil Griffin. MTV, one of the two official distributors of the documentary, posted on their website the first promotional trailer on October 9, 2008.
Britney: For the Record premiered on MTV on November 30, 2008 in the United States, two days before the release of her sixth studio album, Circus, for which the documentary served as a promotion tool. It received mixed reviews from critics, but was broadcast to high ratings and positive fan reactions.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, Rhythm Roulette fans. While most of y’all don’t deserve shit the way you’ve been wilding in the comments sections this past year, we decided to let it slide and gift you with a new episode featuring the North Carolina legend 9th Wonder.
After linking up at The Record Krate in Raleigh, we joined 9th back at his studio to watch the master at work. With Charly McClain, Jermaine Jackson, and The Temprees at his disposal, the GRAMMY award-winning producer warmed up with a few quick flips before ultimately chopping up Lovemen. The final result was so crazy, Rapsody immediately hopped in the booth to bless it with a proper verse.
