Faro, Pharaoh, or Farobank is a late 17th-century French gambling card game. It is descended from basset, and belongs to the lansquenet and Monte Bank family of games due to the use of a banker and several players. Winning or losing occurs when cards turned up by the banker match those already exposed.
It is not a direct relative of poker, but faro was often just as popular, due to its fast action, easy-to-learn rules, and better odds than most games of chance. The game of faro is played with only one deck of cards and admits any number of players.
History
France
The earliest references to a card game named pharaon are found in Southwestern France during the reign of Louis XIV. Basset was outlawed in 1691, and pharaoh emerged several years later as a derivative of basset, before it too was outlawed.
England
Despite the French ban, pharaoh and basset continued to be widely played in England during the 18th century. Pharo, the English alternate spelling of Pharaoh, was easy to learn, quick and, when played honestly, the odds for a player were the best of all gambling games, as records Gilly Williams in a letter to George Selwyn in 1752.
500 or Five Hundred is a trick-taking game that is an extension of Euchre with some ideas from Bridge. For two to six players it is most commonly played by four players in partnerships but is sometimes recommended as a good three player game. It arose in America before 1900 and was promoted by the United States Playing Card Company, which copyrighted and marketed the rules in 1904. 500 is a social card game and was highly popular in the United States until around 1920 when first Auction bridge and then Contract Bridge drove it from favour. It continues to enjoy popularity in Australia, New Zealand and Quebec.
Setup
Of the many variants to 500, the standard deck contains 43 playing cards: a Joker is included (sometimes two, in which case the black-and-white joker beats the coloured one), and the 2s, 3s, and two 4s are removed. Either the two black 4s are removed, or the 4 of spades and 4 of diamonds are removed, in which case the 4 that matches the trump color is also considered trump, so that there are always 13 trump cards (14 when using two jokers). Cards are dealt to each of the four players and three (four with two jokers) are dealt face down on the table to form the kitty (also known as the widow the blind or the hole card.) Alternatively, a 45 card deck can be used (46 with two jokers), in which case the 4s are not removed. Each player still receives a hand of 10 cards, but the kitty is increased to five cards (six with two jokers).
400 is an Arabic trick-takingcard game played in two partnerships with a standard deck of 52 playing cards. The object of the game is to be the first team to reach forty-one points. The game somewhat resembles Spades, but with subtle differences.
Historically, the game is mainly played in Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, and Iraq. It is similar to the game Tarneeb, which is also played in the region.
Object
To accumulate the most points at or beyond 41; points are accrued by winning at least the number of tricks bid in each hand, where each trick that is bid is worth one point. Hearts are always trump and other suits have no innate value. Cards rank: A K Q J 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2
The deal
The first dealer is chosen by a draw for high card, and thereafter the turn to deal proceeds counter clockwise. The entire deck is dealt two cards at a time, face down, beginning on the dealer's right (The first deal being either one card or three cards per player, in order to arrive at thirteen cards each). The players then pick up their cards and arrange them by suits.
Lambic is a type of beer traditionally brewed in the Pajottenland region of Belgium (southwest of Brussels) and in Brussels itself at the Cantillon Brewery and museum. Lambic is now mainly consumed after refermentation, resulting in derived beers such as Gueuze or Kriek lambic.
Unlike conventional beers, which are fermented by carefully cultivated strains of brewer's yeasts, lambic is produced by spontaneous fermentation: it is exposed to the wild yeasts and bacteria that are said to be native to the Zenne valley, in which Brussels lies. It is this unusual process which gives the beer its distinctive flavour: dry, vinous, and cidery, usually with a sour aftertaste.
Lambic beer is widely consumed in Brussels and environs, and frequently featured as an ingredient in Belgian cuisine.
Etymology
The name "lambic" entered English via French, but comes from the Dutch language. Lambic is probably derived from the name "Lembeek", referring to the municipality of Lembeek near Halle, close to Brussels.
Blaufränkisch (German for blue Frankish) is a dark-skinned variety of grape used for red wine. Blaufränkisch, which is a late-ripening variety, produces red wines which are typically rich in tannin and may exhibit a pronounced spicy character.
The grape is grown across Central Europe, including Austria, Czech Republic (in particular southern Moravia where it is known as Frankovka), Germany, Slovakia (where it is known as Frankovka modrá), Croatia (frankovka), Slovenia (known as modra frankinja), and Italy (Franconia). In Hungary the grape is called Kékfrankos (also lit. blue Frankish) and is grown in a number of wine regions including Sopron, Villány, Szekszárd, and Eger (where it is a major ingredient in the famous red wine blend known as Egri Bikavér (lit. Bull's Blood) having largely replaced the Kadarka grape). It has been called "the Pinot noir of the East" because of its spread and reputation in Eastern Europe. In America this grape is grown in Idaho, Washington State and the Finger Lakes region of New York State, where like in Germany it is known as Lemberger, Blauer Limberger or Blue Limberger.
Game (Telugu:గేమ్) is a Telugu film that released on 5 August 2006 and was directed by Ram Prasad. It stars Mohan Babu and Vishnu Manchu in lead roles with Shobana, Parvati Melton, Sumalatha and Giri Babu in supporting roles. The film's background score and soundtrack were composed by new age music composer, Joshua Sridhar. The soundtrack for the movie was released on 27 July 2006. The movie is based on Hollywood Movie Changing Lanes which was remade in three Indian languages, Taxi No. 9211 (2006) in Hindi, TN-07 AL 4777 (2009) in Tamil and this movie itself in Telugu. Unlike the previous versions, Game received negative reviews and failed at the box-office.

RULES:
The object of this gambling game is to win the most bets. The dealer shuffles a standard 52 card deck of playing cards and places it face down in front of them. The dealer takes 13 cards of the same suit from a second deck, and lays them out in front of themselves like so. This is called the tableau. Each player brings their own betting chips and a penny. Kings are high and aces are low.
The dealer begins the game by discarding the top card of the deck face up to the side of the gameplay area. Players then place bets on one of the cards in the tableau based on which card they think is going to flip. Next the dealer flips over two cards from the deck. The first card flipped is the loser and the second card flipped is the winner. Bets on the matching rank of the losing card are lost and collected by the dealer. Bets on the matching rank of the winning card receive a 1 to 1 payout from the dealer, meaning the dealer gives you exactly what you bet.
The flipped over cards are placed to the side face up and another round begins. Players can move their bets around, keep them where they are, or begin placing bets on multiple cards. Multiple players can bet on the same card. Players can also bet on the losing card by placing a penny on top of their chips. If the losing and winning cards are of the same rank, then the dealer receives half of the bets from the matching rank.
Gameplay continues until the deck gets down to its last three cards. During the final flip you have an addition option to bet the exact card order of the last 3 cards. To make this bet, place your chips by the dealer’s deck and declare the order. If a player places a bet on a card that has already been drawn four times from the deck, the first person, player or dealer, who notices can say "dead bet" and they receive those chips.
