The Falklands War 1982 (Full Documentary)
The Falkland Islands have two names. To the people who live there and to Britain they are the Falkland Islands but to their closest neighbour across the sea Argentina and its people, they are Las Islas Malvinas. The debate over what to call the islands is a symbol of a much larger dispute which has raged for hundreds of years and continues to this day. On the Argentinian side a claim based on territorial integrity and a perceived historical injustice. And on the British side, a claim based on historical precedent and the right to self-determination.
In April of 1982, that debate became a conflict. One which would take the lives of nearly 1,000 people. But for Argentina, it was never meant to be that way. In fact, when Argentina invaded the Falkland Islands they believed that Britain woul...

How has the Falklands War changed Argentina, 40 years on? - BBC News
It's 40 years since the Falklands War, a ten-week armed conflict between the United Kingdom and Argentina over two British dependent territories in the South Atlantic.
Argentina lost the war, but to this day it maintains that the islands belong to them.
The country's president told the BBC that he will keep fighting to get them back, and has accused Britain of colonialism in the 21st Century.

1982: Falklands War - Inside Stanley After Argentine Defeat
'On This Day 1982: Falklands War - Inside Stanley After Argentine Defeat
Forty years ago today, after two months of occupation by Argentine troops, the Falkland Islands capital Port Stanely was retaken by British forces.
This unique aftermath footage was shot by ITN reporter Michael Nicholson and his crew, who had been embedded with the UK's Task Force since setting sail from Portsmouth in April 1982.
Argentina still lays claim to 'Las Malvinas' but will the UK Government ever hand over the isolated and sparsely populated overseas territory after fighting a war to keep them?

JUST HAPPENED! Keir Starmer’s MASSIVE BLUNDER During Heated Speech SHOCKS Everyone!
Keir Starmer’s latest attempt to connect with the public has backfired dramatically. During a recent Prime Minister’s Questions session, he shared a personal story about his uncle’s near-death experience during the Falklands War—claiming his ship was torpedoed. But there’s a problem: no British ship was ever torpedoed in that conflict. This error has set the internet ablaze, with critics questioning his grasp of British history and his credibility as a leader. Could this slip cost Starmer his standing in the polls? Watch now to find out how a single mistake is shaping the future of Labour leadership.

The Falklands War: A Soldiers Story | NEW FEATURE DOC
On the night of the 2nd April 1982, without warning, Argentina launched the invasion of the Falklands Islands. What followed was Britain’s last solo war: the last major conflict fought over British imperial territories, the last major conflict Britain fought by itself rather than as part of a coalition.
The British response to the Argentinian invasion was almost instant, commandeering luxury liners, trawlers and ferries in addition to numerous naval vessels. Britain put to sea a task force of 28,000 men.
40 years on, we meet veterans from both sides who experienced the conflict first-hand and were witness to some of the most pivotal moments of the war.
