North Dakota (pronunciation: i/ˌnɔːrθdəˈkoʊtə/; locally[ˌno̞ɹθ dəˈko̞ɾə]) is the 39th state of the United States, having been admitted to the union on November 2, 1889.
North Dakota has weathered the Great Recession of the early 21st century with a boom in natural resources, particularly a boom in oil extraction from the Bakken formation, which lies beneath the northwestern part of the state. The development has driven strong job and population growth, and low unemployment.
Geography
North Dakota is located in the U.S. region known as the Great Plains. The state shares the Red River of the North with Minnesota on the east; South Dakota is to the south, Montana is to the west, and the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba are north. North Dakota is situated near the middle of North America with a stone marker in Rugby, North Dakota marking the "Geographic Center of the North American Continent". With an area of 70,762 square miles (183,273km2), North Dakota is the 19th largest state.
Its most prominent MP was Winston Churchill, who served as Prime Minister during the Second World War for the latter part of his tenure in the seat. In the 1955 and 1959 general elections, the celebrated cricket commentator and journalist John Arlott stood as the Liberal Party candidate.

Drive Highlights From Devils Lake, ND To Epping, ND (Where Did Mike Go?)
It was a pretty surreal experience to have the entire campground to myself on Devils Lake in North Dakota, and I probably could have stayed there for a week and been happy, but my road trip out the Pacific Northwest had to continue.
I know most people probably find North Dakota to be boring, but it's one of my favorite places to drive through. There's no congestion, I love the wide-open spaces and heck - I even like the scenery!

[Verse 1:] When I see your eyes. They show me everything. I ever needed to know. The only place I need to go. And when we are together. My whole world disappears. Along with all our fears. We are invincible. [Chorus:] Maybe we should get away. be ourselves, just the two of us. In your car, we'll drive til the road runs out. We can run forever. [Verse 2:] Hey and when we get there. We can find a cheap hotel. Where we can hide from the world. We can pretend that we're all alone. And no one else exists. the streets are ours tonight are ours tonight and no ones here to tell us what to do or tell us what we're not [Chorus:] Maybe we should get away. be ourselves, just the two of us. In your car we'll drive til the road runs out. We can run forever. Maybe we should get away. be ourselves, just the two of us. In your car we'll drive til the road runs out. We can run forever. [Bridge:] And we can be. Who we want to be. So everyone can see. Exactly what we mean. [Chorus:] Maybe we should get away. be ourselves, just the two of us. In your car we'll drive til the road runs out. We can run forever. Maybe we should get away. be ourselves, just the two of us. In your car we'll drive til the road runs out.
