Butler, PA
Butler is a city in the county seat of Butler County, Pennsylvania. Butler County was founded in 1800. One of Butler's claims to fame is that it is home to the original military "Jeep" that made American forces mobile during World War II. Butler downtown has a very upbeat artsy feel. With great Pubs and shops. The buildings are rich in history. I enjoyed my visit to downtown Butler, stopped by Vintage Coffeehouse and struck up a conversation with the owner, nice guy. And the coffee was great.

A mini documentary on one of Butler County's historic treasures, The Old Stone House, located near Slippery Rock Pennsylvania.
The Old Stone House is located in Butler County near Slippery Rock Pennsylvania. It acted as a pivotal stop for those travel by wagon from Pittsburgh to Erie Pennsylvania in the 1800's. It later played roles in the American Civil War, and the story of Sam Mohawk, who would be charged with murder and be the first and only to face the gallows in Butler County. The Old Stone House later became a farm house before falling into disrepair. In the 1960's, the building was reconstructed using the original building's materials by architect Charles Stotz. 10 Places in Pennsylvania You Should NEVER Move To
Move to these places and you're gonna regret it big time!
If you were going to make a list of places to NOT to move to in Pennsylvania, you’d have a lot to choose from. Many people wouldn’t want to live on a farm, or in smallish communities where there isn’t even electricity. Or in an old beat up former coal mining town where the local economy is horrible. Many of us wouldn’t want to live in a big inner city where violence and homelessness rules the day.

You could actually choose many MANY places in Pennsylvania that would be a bad choice for a newcomer. Long time Pennsylvania residents could rattle off at least 20 places they wouldn’t want to live in themselves. And, in case you didn’t know, migration TO the Keystone State stopped being positive a long while ago.
Anyways, because everyone likes lists in tens, we did a lot of homework to bring you a list of only 10 places in Pennsylvania where you should NEVER move, even though there’s way more than that.
We're going to talk about places in Pittsburgh, near Philadelphia and near Scranton. Places like McKeesport, Chester, Reading and more!
