When you travel across West Africa and take time to explore the cities, you begin to really appreciate how great Africa is. The country Togo has been underrated for too long. In this video, I want to show you the capital city Lome like never seen before.
I started the tour from the center point of Lome. I am heading to the city's business districts and from there we will proceed to the city's administrative area.
Togo with its capital city Lome is a very important country in West Africa, both in terms of its economic significance and presence as West Africa's first deep seaport.
Lomé has a well-developed infrastructure with good transportation links, a variety of restaurants and cafes, and modern shopping centers. The city also has a thriving market scene, with several large markets selling everything from fresh produce to traditional handicrafts.
In addition to its economic significance, Togo does indeed have its own unique charm and is often underrated. The country's economic hub Lome is a vibrant and bustling city with a rich history and culture.
One of the highlights of Togo is its beautiful beaches, which are often uncrowded and perfect for a relaxing day in the sun. There are also several museums and cultural centers that showcase the art, music, and traditions of Togo.
Togo is a francophone country, however, there are also many schools and programs that provide high-quality English language education, and many Togolese people are able to speak English fluently.
As the newest member of the Uk commonwealth, English language education in Togo is provided through both public and private schools, and there are also a number of language institutes and centers that offer English language classes to adults and professionals. In some areas, there are also community-based English language programs that provide language instruction to people who may not have access to formal schooling.
Lome is generally safe, although like any urban area, it is important to exercise caution and be aware of your surroundings.
The cost of living in Lome is very affordable compared to many other African cities, especially the cost of rent as the Togo government is making a lot of effort to reduce the price of building materials in the country. Cost of living can vary depending on factors such as location, type of housing, and lifestyle. Transportation costs are also relatively affordable, with options like shared taxis and buses available to help keep costs down.
The capital city is home to many of the country's government institutions, including the National Assembly and the Supreme Court, as well as a number of international organizations and embassies. Lome is also an important cultural center, with a vibrant arts scene and a rich history that is reflected in its architecture and museums.

Sustainability and Decolonisation in Historical African Fashion
I wanted to share some thoughts I've been having in relation to sustainable fashion and decolonisation. I've been trying to collect information about precolonial African fashion and textile practices. Rewoven made a great film about looking at the practices and beliefs of indigenous peoples across the world as an answer to climate change, the pitfalls of capitalism and the fast fashion crisis.
This video is in collaboration with Bubblegum Club and Wikimedia's #WikipediaByUs campaign. "Celebrate a country that has turned its frustrations into knowledge that comes alive through our art, our music, our bodies and our joy. We begin to question who gets to participate in knowledge. In doing so, we reimagine knowledge production and ecosystems and recognise that knowledge is power but it is mu...

Present and historical distribution of the leopard[3]
The leopard (Panthera pardus) is one of the five extant species in the genus Panthera, a member of the cat family, Felidae.[4] It occurs in a wide range in sub-Saharan Africa, in some parts of Western and Central Asia, Southern Russia, and on the Indian subcontinent to Southeast and East Asia. It is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List because leopard populations are threatened by habitat loss and fragmentation, and are declining in large parts of the global range. The leopard is considered locally extinct in Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Jordan, Morocco, Togo, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Kuwait, Syria, Libya, Tunisia and most likely in North Korea, Gambia, Laos, Lesotho, Tajikistan, Vietnam and Israel.[3] Contemporary records suggest that the leopard occurs in only 25% of its historical global range.[5][6]
Compared to other wild cats, the leopard has relatively short legs and a long body with a large skull. Its fur is marked with rosettes. It is similar in appearance to the jaguar (Panthera onca), but has a smaller, lighter physique, and its rosettes are generally smaller, more densely packed and without central spots. Both leopards and jaguars that are melanistic are known as black panthers. The leopard is distinguished by its well-camouflaged fur, opportunistic hunting behaviour, broad diet, strength, and its ability to adapt to a variety of habitats ranging from rainforest to steppe, including arid and montane areas. It can run at speeds of up to 58 km/h (36 mph).[7] The earliest known leopard fossils excavated in Europe are estimated 600,000 years old, dating to the late Early Pleistocene.[2] Leopard fossils were also found in Japan[8] and Sumatra.[9]

Etymology
The English name 'leopard' comes from Old French: leupart or Middle French: liepart, that derives from Latin: leopardus and Ancient Greek: λέοπάρδος (leopardos). Leopardos could be a compound of λέων (leōn), meaning lion, and πάρδος (pardos), meaning spotted.[10][11][12] The word λέοπάρδος originally referred to a cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus).[13]
'Panther' is another common name, derived from Latin: panther and Ancient Greek: πάνθηρ (pánthēr);[10] The generic name Panthera originates in Latin: panthera, which refers to a hunting net for catching wild beasts that were used by the Romans in combats.[14] The phonetically similar Sanskrit: पाण्डर (pând-ara) means pale yellow, whitish or white.[15] The specific name pardus refers to a male panther.[16] The word pardus is thought to originate from Ancient Greek: παρδάλωτός (pardalotόs) meaning spotted like a leopard.[17]
Characteristics
Mounted skeleton
Rosettes of a leopard
Leopard in South Africa
The leopard's fur is generally soft and thick, notably softer on the belly than on the back.[18] Its skin colour varies between individuals from pale yellowish to dark golden with dark spots grouped in rosettes. Its belly is whitish and its ringed tail is shorter than its body. Its pupils are round.[19] Leopards living in arid regions are pale cream, yellowish to ochraceous and rufous in colour; those living in forests and mountains are much darker and deep golden. Spots fade toward the white underbelly and the insides and lower parts of the legs.[20] Rosettes are circular in East African leopard populations, and tend to be squarish in Southern African and larger in Asian leopard populations. The fur tends to be grayish in colder climates, and dark golden in rain forest habitats.[7] The pattern of the rosettes is unique in each individual.[21][22] This pattern is thought to be an adaptation to dense vegetation with patchy shadows, where it serves as camouflage.[23]
Its white-tipped tail is about 60–100 cm (23.6–39.4 in) long, white underneath and with spots that form incomplete band

‼Before there was Africa, there was Negroland
Negroland consists of land/territories East & West of the NIGER RIVER in what we know as West Africa today; HOWEVER, it is NOT AFRICAN Territory (Hammite) ... it is JUDAH/NEGRO Territory (Shemmites)
Some of the Countries of TODAY making up NEGROLAND include : Niger, Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Benin, Mauritania, (Mandinga Territories aka Mali, Gambia, Guinea).
4 different Coasts for Commodities.
1. GOLD COAST
2. SLAVE COAST - Kingdom of Judah
3. TOOTH COAST
4. GRAIN COAST
Check out the Slave (skilled labor) Coast ... The Kingdom of Judah had established there after fleeing from Israel (our Homeland) in 70 AD by the Roman's‼
JUDAH is one of the 12 Tribes from Israel - Direct Bloodline from The Most High Himself‼

NEGROLAND - GUINEA
Map of 1747 ▪︎Episode 5 "Blood of the Covenant"
- If the Israelites are God's chosen people, then why did He remove them from their Homeland into the Slave Coast of Negroland ??? 🤔
▪︎ The Most High delivered Children of Israel out of Egypt aka "House of Bondage" Ex. 20:2
into their own Land (Israel / Promise Land) and promised Protection, Peace, & abundance if agree to Spread His Word & Commandments
▪︎ The Israelites made an agreement w/ The Most High called "The Blood of the Covenant" Ex. 24:8 to follow Commandments / Have no other gods before Him / Exalt His Name throughout the world 🌍 righteously
▪︎ Children of Israel broke that agreement and began to take on the Customs of the Gentiles including Idol worship / having other gods before Him / Becoming idols amongst themselves

In doing so, we reimagine knowledge production and ecosystems and recognise that knowledge is power but it is much more powerful when shared."

It occurs in a wide range in sub-Saharan Africa, in some parts of Western and Central Asia, Southern Russia, and on the Indian subcontinent to Southeast and East Asia. It is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List because leopard populations are threatened by habitat loss and fragmentation, and are declining in large parts of the global range. The leopard is considered locally extinct in Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Jordan, Morocco, Togo, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Kuwait, Syria, Libya, Tunisia and most likely in North Korea, Gambia, Laos, Lesotho, Tajikistan, Vietnam and Israel. Contemporary records suggest that the leopard occurs in only 25% of its historical global range.
Quick Facts Conservation status, Scientific classification ...
It can run at speeds of up to 58 km/h (36 mph). The earliest known leopard fossils excavated in Europe are estimated 600,000 years old, dating to the late Early Pleistocene. Leopard fossils were also found in Japan and Sumatra.
Etymology
The English name 'leopard' comes from Old French: leupart or Middle French: liepart, that derives from Latin: leopardus and Ancient Greek: λέοπάρδος (leopardos). Leopardos could be a compound of λέων (leōn), meaning lion, and πάρδος (pardos), meaning spotted. The word λέοπάρδος originally referred to a cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus).
'Panther' is another common name, derived from Latin: panther and Ancient Greek: πάνθηρ (pánthēr); The generic name Panthera originates in Latin: panthera, which refers to a hunting net for catching wild beasts that were used by the Romans in combats. Pardus is the masculine singular form.
Characteristics
The leopard's fur is generally soft and thick, notably softer on the belly than on the back. Its skin colour varies between individuals from pale yellowish to dark golden with dark spots grouped in rosettes. Its belly is whitish and its ringed tail is shorter than its body. Its pupils are round. Leopards living in arid regions are pale cream, yellowish to ochraceous and rufous in colour; those living in forests and mountains are much darker and deep golden. Spots fade toward the white underbelly and the insides and lower parts of the legs. Rosettes are circular in East African leopard populations, and tend to be squarish in Southern African and larger in Asian leopard populations. The fur tends to be grayish in colder climates, and dark golden in rain forest habitats. The pattern of the rosettes is unique in each individual. This pattern is thought to be an adaptation to dense vegetation with patchy shadows, where it serves as camouflage.
Its white-tipped tail is about 60–100 cm (23.6–39.4 in) long, white underneath and with spots that form incomplete bands toward the tail's end. The guard hairs protecting the basal hairs are short, 3–4 mm (0.1–0.2 in) in face and head, and increase in length toward the flanks and the belly to about 25–30 mm (1.0–1.2 in). Juveniles have woolly fur, and appear to be dark-coloured due to the densely arranged spots. Its fur tends to grow longer in colder climates. The leopard's rosettes differ from those of the jaguar (Panthera onca), which are darker and with smaller spots inside.
The leopard has a diploid chromosome number of 38. The chromosomes include four acrocentric, five metacentric, seven submetacentric and two telocentric pairs.
Size and weight
The leopard is sexually dimorphic with males larger and heavier than females. It is muscular, with relatively short limbs and a broad head.

The Scenic Railway at Luna Park, Melbourne, is the world's oldest continually-operating roller coaster, built in 1912.
A roller coaster is a type of amusement ride that employs a form of elevated railroad track designed with tight turns, steep slopes, and sometimes inversions.[1] People ride along the track in open cars, and the rides are often found in amusement parks and theme parks around the world.[1] LaMarcus Adna Thompson obtained one of the first known patents for a roller coaster design in 1885, related to the Switchback Railway that opened a year earlier at Coney Island.[2][3] The track in a coaster design does not necessarily have to be a complete circuit, as shuttle roller coasters demonstrate. Most roller coasters have multiple cars in which passengers sit and are restrained.[4] Two or more cars hooked together are called a train. Some roller coasters, notably wild mouse roller coasters, run with single cars.

Leopard
Large cat native to Africa and Asia
For other uses, see Leopard (disambiguation) and Leopards (disambiguation).
The leopard (Panthera pardus) is one of the five extant species in the genus Panthera, a member of the cat family, Felidae.
