The airline was established on 30 July 1998 and started operations in October 1998. It was founded as, and remains, a joint venture between China Eastern Airlines (70%) and China Ocean Shipping (30%). It briefly adopted the title China Eastern Airlines Cargo, and reverted to its original name again after becoming an independent subsidiary in 2004.
Its parent company China Eastern Airlines reached agreement to inject more capital into the cargo airline. Its stake fell from 70 percent to just over 51 percent. China Ocean Shipping's share reduced to 17 percent. This allowed Singapore Airlines Cargo to invest up to 16 percent of the cargo airline. In addition, Eva Air also purchased a 16 percent share of the airline.
China is the debut studio album by hard rock band China, released in 1988, through record label Vertigo. The singles of this album were "Hot Lovin' Night", "Shout It Out" and "Wild Jealousy".

China Cargo Boeing 747-412F(SCD) [B-2428] at LAX
It is very rare to see China Cargo B744F at LAX. The usual equipment that CK uses to LAX are the B777F. This was a special mission from the Chinese government to transport relief items to Ecuador. It came to LAX for a fuel stop. The last time it came to LAX was August 2009. Great to see it back in LA.
This is the 1096th Boeing 747 ever built. 19.4 years old, first delivered to SIA as 9V-SFE in 1996, then it was leased to Great Wall Airlines in 2006 as B-2428, then it went to CK in 2011 with the same registration.

China Cargo Airlines (with a great callsign - "CARGO KING"!) arriving on the daily cargo shuttle from Shanghai. Great that it arrived, pushed and departed again all in the space of 90 minutes - a slick turn around operation going on there! Departed on runway 25R. Great spotting position to listen to that 777 start up drone!
Including ATC for the departure (I didn't catch its arrival as it landed on the other side of the airfield).
