Bryan Ferry, CBE (born 26 September 1945) is an English singer, songwriter and musician born in Washington, Tyne and Wear. His vocal style has been described as an "elegant, seductive croon". He also established a distinctive image and sartorial style; according to The Independent, in common with his contemporary David Bowie, he influenced a generation with both his music and his appearance.
Ferry came to prominence as the lead vocalist and principal songwriter with the glam art rock band Roxy Music, achieving three number one albums and ten top ten singles in the UK between 1972 and 1982. Their singles included "Virginia Plain", "Street Life", "Love is the Drug", "Dance Away", "Angel Eyes", "Over You", "Oh Yeah", "Jealous Guy" and "More Than This". Ferry began his solo career in 1973. His solo hits included "A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall", "Let's Stick Together" and "This Is Tomorrow". After disbanding Roxy Music, Ferry concentrated on his solo career, releasing further singles such as "Slave to Love" and "Don't Stop the Dance".
What Goes On may refer to:
"What Goes On" is a song by the Beatles, featured as the eighth track on their sixth British album Rubber Soul. The song was later released as the B-side of the US single "Nowhere Man", and then as the tenth track on the North America-only album Yesterday and Today. It is the only song by the band credited to Lennon–McCartney-Starkey.
The original version of the song was written by John Lennon in the Quarrymen days and considered as a follow-up to "Please Please Me" in early 1963. The song was not used until 1965 as Ringo Starr's vocal piece for Rubber Soul. According to Lennon, "it was resurrected with a middle eight thrown in, probably with Paul's help" for Rubber Soul.Barry Miles also claimed that McCartney and Starr combined for the middle eight. There is no formal middle eight in the song, though one chorus and one verse are extended; Ian MacDonald believes those longer sections were written by McCartney. Starr contributed to the lyrics, his first-ever composing credit on a Beatles song. However, when asked what his contribution was to the song, Starr jokingly stated, "About five words, and I haven't done a thing since." To his chagrin, the first pressing of the single accidentally omitted "Starkey" in the song-writing credit.
The discography of the American rock band The Velvet Underground consists of five studio albums, five live albums, thirteen compilation albums, two box sets and seven singles.
The first line-up was formed in New York City consisting of Lou Reed on vocals and guitar, John Cale on several instruments, Sterling Morrison on guitar and Angus MacLise on percussion (later replaced by Maureen Tucker). On March 12, 1967 they released the debut album The Velvet Underground & Nico featuring German singer Nico. The album charted in the United States and originally peaked at number 171 on the Billboard album charts and produced two singles, "All Tomorrow's Parties" and "Sunday Morning", which did not chart anywhere. The album, produced by artist Andy Warhol, recharted in 2013 peaking at number 129.
Goes ( pronunciation ) is a municipality and a city in the southwestern Netherlands on Zuid-Beveland, in the province of Zeeland. The town of Goes has approximately 27,000 residents.
Goes was founded in the 10th century on the edge of a creek: de Korte Gos (the Short Gos). The village grew fast, and in the early 12th century it had a market square and a church devoted to Mary Magdalene. In 1405 Goes received city rights from William, Duke of Bavaria, by his right as count of Holland, and in 1417 it was allowed to build town walls. The prosperity of the city was based upon the cloth industry and the production of salt. In the 16th century Goes declined. Its connection to the sea silted up and in 1554 a large fire destroyed part of the city.
In Autumn 1572, during the course of the Eighty Years' War, Goes, in the Spanish Netherlands, was besieged by Dutch forces with the support of English troops. The siege was relieved in October 1572 by Spanish Tercios, who waded across the Scheldt to attack the besieging forces. In 1577 the Spanish soldiers who occupied Goes were driven out by Prince Maurits of Nassau. The prince built a defence wall around Goes, which is still partly standing. From the 17th century Goes did not play an important role, except as an agricultural centre. In 1868 a railway was constructed through it, but this did not lead to industrialisation. Agriculture remains the most important economic activity.
Goes is a genus of longhorn beetles, containing the following species:
GOES 11, known as GOES-L before becoming operational, is an American weather satellite, which is part of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite system. It was launched in 2000, and operated at the GOES-WEST position, providing coverage of the west coast of the United States, until December 6, 2011.
GOES-L was launched aboard an International Launch Services Atlas IIA rocket, flying from Space Launch Complex 36A at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The launch occurred at 07:07 GMT on 3 May. The launch was originally scheduled for 15 March 1999, however it was delayed to allow the Eutelsat W3 satellite to be launched first. Following this, it was rescheduled for 15 May. On 30 April, the Centaur upper stage of a Titan IV(401)B failed during the launch of USA-143. Since a version of the Centaur was also used on the Atlas II, the launch of GOES-L was delayed a week to ensure that the same problem would not affect its launch. Less than five days after the Titan failure, a Delta III failed to launch Orion 3. The failure occurred during the second stage restart, and as the Delta III and Atlas II both used RL10 engines on their second stages, this resulted in a further delay.

The Velvet Underground - What Goes On clip, from their self-titled third album (1969). Lou Reed: vocals, guitar. Sterling Morrison: guitar. Doug Yule: bass, organ. Maureen Tucker: drums. #TheVelvetUnderground Although What Goes On was recorded in Los Angeles for The Velvets' third album in 1969 with Doug Yule on bass and organ, the band performed What Goes On live with John Cale on organ regularly, until his departure from The Velvets in September 1968. By all accounts Cale's rendition of What Goes On on organ was legendary (although I haven't found any recordings of it yet) and that's why John Cale appears in this video instead of Doug Yule who actually played a Vox Continental organ on this song and there's hardly any actual footage of The Velvets with Doug Yule, from his entrance in t...

What goes on
What goes on in your mind?
I think that I am falling down.
What goes on in your mind?
I think that I am upside down.
Lady, be good, do what you should, you know it will work alright.
Lady, be good, do what you should, you know it will be alright.
I'm going up, and I'm going down.
I'm going from side to side.
See the bells, up in the sky,
Somebody's cut their string in two.
Lady, be good, do what you should, you know it will work alright.
Lady, be good, do what you should, you know it will be alright.
One minute born, one minute doomed,
One minute up, one minute down.
What goes on in your mind?
I think that I am falling down.
Lady, be good, do what you should, you know it will work alright.
Lady, be good, do what you should, you know it will be alright.
How does it feel to be loved?
