Iain Murray Rose, AM (6 January 1939 – 15 April 2012) was an Australian swimmer, actor, sports commentator and marketing executive. He was a six-time Olympic medalist (four gold, one silver, one bronze), and at one time held the world records in the 400-metre, 800-metre, and 1500-metre freestyle (long course). He made his Olympic debut at the 1956 Summer Olympics as a 17-year-old and won three Olympic medals, all gold. Four years later, as a 21-year-old, he won three Olympic medals (one gold, one silver, one bronze) at the 1960 Summer Olympics.
Biography
Early life
Iain Murray Rose was born on 6 January 1939 in Birmingham, England. As World War II broke out, his family moved to Australia in 1940 when he was a baby. He started swimming as a boy and attended Cranbrook School in Bellevue Hill, Sydney. He swam regularly at Redleaf Pool, an enclosed saltwater swimming pool in the suburb of Double Bay. In 2012, the pool was renamed Murray Rose Pool in his honour
Career
At the age of 17, Rose participated in the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne. He won the 400-metre and 1500-metre freestyle races and was a member of the winning team in the 4×200-metre freestyle relay. Winning three gold medals in his home country immediately made him a national hero. He was the youngest Olympian to be awarded three gold medals in one Olympic Games. Afterwards, Rose moved to the United States to accept an athletic scholarship at the University of Southern California where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business/Communications.
In the 1994 Queen's Birthday Honours, Rose was awarded the Queen's Service Medal for public services. In 1999, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. He published his autobiography, More Than Meets the Eye, in 2010, with a reviewer commenting that the "political material is particularly interesting".
Billy Murray (April 18, 1892- March 4, 1926) was an American boxer in the early 20th century.
Boxing career
Although initially starting off rather weak, with 3 wins, 2 losses, and a draw, Murray had an incredible win streak afterwards. He was undefeated his next 49 fights, against boxers such as Anton LaGrave, Johnny McCarthy, Jimmy Clabby, and many others. However, he was defeated twice in a row by a boxer known as George Chip. He won 2 more consecutive fights, and then lost the next 9 fights in a row. He fought 24 more fights afterwords, bringing his record to 60 wins (45 by knockout), 16 losses, and 9 draws.
A native of Peabody, Massachusetts, Murray began his minor league managing career at age 25 with the Quincy, Illinois, Ravens of the Central Interstate League in 1889. After winning back-to-back pennants at Quincy and Joliet of the Illinois–Iowa League in 1891–1892, Murray spent nine seasons (1894–1902) as skipper of the Providence Grays of the top-level Eastern League (a forerunner of today's International League). He then spent four winning seasons as field boss of the Jersey City Skeeters of the Eastern circuit, taking one league pennant. His record as a minor league manager was 1,234 victories and 876 defeats over 18 seasons, a winning percentage of .585, one of the highest among longtime minor league managers.

The Deadliest Kick In Kickboxing #Shorts
SHOP & EXPLORE FIGHTCAMP: https://bit.ly/3tq2MTP
The deadliest kick in kickboxing… the push kick. In Muay Thai it’s referred to as a “teep” kick. It was one of the first kicks I ever learned and one that helped me tremendously in fights to keep aggressive fighters away and in this fight’s case, get the TKO.
There are 4 parts to the teep kick:
1. Chamber
2. Extend (strike with ball of foot)
3. Chamber (retract)
4. Step back down into your stance

I promise you want this kick in your arsenal!
